文章分析了王韬小说《三梦桥》中的梦在整个小说叙述中所起的作用、它与人物心理、情节发展、叙事时间的关系问题。从叙述者对梦的利用、调控中，我们看到的是一个持男性立场、带男性偏见的、狡猾的叙述人，他通过几个梦的戏法，把男人的一次婚变叙述成一桩奇迹。     

Truth and Indigenous Cosmopolitics in Shangrila

As this article shows, cadres involved in the ‘discovery’ of Shangrila in Yunnan were well aware of the fictional origins of the name. In arguments for changing the name of Zhongdian county to Xianggelila, scientific facts were coupled with literary truths about the Shangri-La of the 1930s novel Lost Horizon, grounded in material reality. In their efforts to make Shangrila meaningful locally, cadres associated Shangrila with the hidden land of Shambhala, appealing to a spiritual reality ultimately knowable only to visionaries. We can thus talk about three different logics of truth (scientific, literary and visionary) and two different realities (material and spiritual) of concern to the ‘making up’ of Shangrila.

#CancelTheDuggars and #BoycottTLC: Image repair or exploitation in reality television

This case study examined the network TLC’s response to Josh Duggar’s (from their reality show 19 Kids and Counting) confirmation that he molested young girls, including two of his sisters, when he was a teenager. While TLC was not responsible for the molestation, their proximity to the family and their relationship with the Duggars led to criticism and thus, a plan to improve their image. Overall, TLC relied on four different tactics to assist their image repair efforts: (a) delayed and minimal responses, (b) reducing offensiveness, (c) minimizing the severity of the situation, and (d) ineffective social media use. We argue these four strategies were unsuccessful tactics. Specifically, their decision to wait two months to cancel 19 Kids and Counting, to air a documentary on sexual abuse featuring the two sisters victimized by Josh Duggar and their later decision to give these two sisters their own spin-off series calls into question the ethical and exploitative nature of their response.     

论新时期纪实文学的自然主义真实观

新时期许多纪实文学作家、理论家坚持自然主义真实观 ,表现在 :强调实录生活 ;无需想象和虚构 ;不必遵循典型化的原则 ;在创作中主体不介入、无评价等。出现这种现象 ,固然与“纪实”题材和时代的“务实”、开放有关 ,但更重要的原因是自然主义的一些理论同样符合创作的基本规律     

文学作品的真实性与科学性

文学作品中“狭义的生活真实”主要指人物和事件合乎生活的常情常理 ,也就是合乎生活的可然律。广义的“生活真实”包括狭义的生活真实、历史真实和科学真实。文学作品中的科学性 ,即科学真实 ,指的是用自然规律来检验文学作品中的某些叙述和描写。要考虑作品中所写的景物、器物、人物的活动是否符合科学性 ,是否符合人与物的自然发展规律以及科学史实。对文学作品的真实性、严密性的思考不能不包含着对科学性的思考     

Testing Predictive Ability and Power Robustification

One of the approaches to compare forecasting methods is to test whether the risk from a benchmark prediction is smaller than the others. The test can be embedded into a general problem of testing inequality constraints using a one-sided sup functional. Hansen showed that such tests suffer from asymptotic bias. This article generalizes this observation, and proposes a hybrid method to robustify the power properties by coupling a one-sided sup test with a complementary test. The method can also be applied to testing stochastic dominance or moment inequalities. Simulation studies demonstrate that the new test performs well relative to the existing methods. For illustration, the new test was applied to analyze the forecastability of stock returns using technical indicators employed by White.

十月革命和苏联解体两个时间点可以把俄罗斯历史分为三个阶段.就缓刑制度而言,这三个阶段的缓刑制度之间既有所区别,又保持着一定的延续性.即便不同的社会制度(社会主义和资本主义)决定了缓刑制度在本质上的不同,但是仍可以相互借鉴和为自己所用.本文的考察表明了俄罗斯缓刑制度的现实是在反思历史的基础上形成的,是对历史的继承和进一步发展.
