农村老年人家庭代际交往调查

利用清华大学社会学系＂农村老年人养老情况调查＂数据,探讨了农村老年人家庭代际交往的现状与特点。结果表明,农村代际之间的经济与劳务交往仍然十分普遍,子女对上代的支持依旧是代际交往的主要方向。然而,在经济发达地区,社会养老保险制度的建立对代际关系的影响已经显现出来,老人的经济独立性提高,子女养老的经济负担大为减轻。但是,当老人生病时,子女依然是照料服务的主要提供者。今后,在农村,除了要继续扩大社会养老保险覆盖面并提高保障水平外,还需要解决老年社会化照料服务问题。     

我国村镇银行的发展困境及对策--以河南省辉县珠江村镇银行为例

从2007年起设立的村镇银行为农村地区的建设和发展提供了有力支持。但是作为新生事物,各项工作仍处于探索阶段,不可避免的出现一些问题。本文简析了村镇银行的发展现状,并结合河南省辉县珠江村镇银行发展中出现的品牌认知度低、人才与业务发展不适应以及金融产品缺乏特色等问题,提出一些针对性建议,以期促进村镇银行的进一步发展。     

“Xenasubtexttalk”

This article examines how some lesbian fans of the television adventure fantasy series Xena: Warrior Princess (X:WP) (1995–2001) became visible through the development of online fandom and the production of explicit lesbian Internet fan fiction. The self-identity of lesbian fans who are part of the “xenasubtextalk” (XSTT) fan group is explored and celebrated through social networks of lesbian fandom through the “Xenaverse.” Lesbian fans have written copious amounts of fan fiction online enabling a form of lesbian political discourse and activism as well as social and cultural discourses shared throughout the platform of the Internet. Many lesbian fans have been supported to create and write Xena lesbian fan fiction by engaging with various lesbian fan writers from the Xenaverse who offer their advice to develop lesbian fan fiction services for free to “newbie” writers. Their explicit lesbian fan fiction narratives are reproduced and distributed as lesbian stories about the two main characters Xena and Gabrielle from the original television series. I interviewed three women from “xenasubtextalk” who gain pleasure exploring their lesbian identities and fandom through the fan group.     

Gentrification and neo-rural populations in the Québec countryside: Representations of various actors

Rural gentrification, which is linked in particular to the migration and permanent settlement in the countryside of middle-class or affluent urbanites, is increasingly affecting contemporary rural communities. Despite the significance of this trend, the complex and many-sided phenomenon of rural gentrification has hardly been explored in scholarly research in Québec (Canada), in contrast to the abundant research that exists on this topic in the United Kingdom. Accordingly, the present article will explore different representations by and of the various actors involved vis-à-vis the emergence and polymorphous effects of the gentrification of two regional county municipalities (RCMs) in the province of Québec: Brome-Missisquoi and Arthabaska. Based on the results of qualitative interviews with the four types of actors (newcomers, long-time residents, directors of local and regional community organizations, and municipal officials), it shows the complexity of rural gentrification at various levels: 1) socio-demographically; 2) in terms of housing and economic impacts; 3) on the community and cultural levels; 4) on the physical, environmental and political levels. The findings demonstrate, among other things, the need to go further than simply portraying gentrifiers and, to this end, we have augmented our analysis with representations provided by other actors affected by rural gentrification. The article also stresses the importance of examining the overall effects of the phenomenon, both negative and positive, with a view to improving our understanding of it.     

The diverse geographies of rural gentrification in Scotland

Gentrification has for too long been investigated as an urban phenomenon. Only relatively recently has it been viewed as an avenue for fruitful rural research. This paper focuses on the repopulation of rural Scotland. Using survey and interview data it examines evidence of gentrification among in-migration flows and seeks to explore both the social transformation of rural areas and the social displacement of rural residents.     

'Woman,Speak with a Loud Voice!'

This paper seeks to contribute to the critique of mainstream development discourse by conveying the ideas and issues raised by rural South African women. Building upon feminist and post-colonial discourses, this paper shifts the epistemological location of knowing to the women affected by development programmes and policies. Based upon interviews and discussions with over 600 women in rural communities, we offer a brief characterization of the South African context of rural women's lives, followed by rural women's comments about development, their daily struggles, and empowerment. Rural women's comments reveal a conception of development that is tied to their localized problem-solving skills and opportunities. Their response to the absence of development opportunities within their communities is to forge a space where they can negotiate between institutional spheres of power in order to address their needs. We argue that traditional development approaches overlook the space, or interstice, rural African women occupy between the modern state and traditional authority. For persons interested in development issues, rural women's experiences direct our attention to the in-between spaces as potential sites of empowerment.     

Connecting Aboriginal Learners in Remote Communities: An Online Social Work Course

SUMMARY

This article describes an Internet mediated first year social work course for First Nation participants. It was developed to meet the needs of several remote communities in Canada for distance education in social work.     

Using the Personal Computer in Disaster Intervention

We describe in this paper the contributions of the personalcomputer to a rural mental health program designed to address disaster-induced psychological problems following a flood. The computer served a vital role in several areas. First, we were able to use the computer in desktop publication of pamphlets for disaster survivors. Second, we used the computer for managing data to assess the needs of survivors, evaluate effectiveness, and generate reports. And third, we used the computer to mail letters to all survivors, providing them with updated information regarding available services and continuing concerns. In evaluating the success of the program, we conclude that the computer enabled us to implement a program that was inexpensive, responsive, efficient and effective.     

农村孤儿的脆弱性分析与政策建议

农村孤儿在亲属网络养护模式下面临着诸多风险：养护结构不稳定,负担能力弱;社会变迁带来巨大冲击与挑战：心理创伤容易造成生活适应的困扰;发展性需求难以得到有效满足。研究发现,农村孤儿脆弱性的决定因子包括：家庭的抚养能力、亲属网络规模与资源、社会援助、同辈支持、自立人格与积极思维、国家福利等。农村孤儿的不利处境及其脆弱性揭示出国家在农村孤儿福利方面需要发挥更多的作用。并为抚养家庭提供更多的支持,以应对经济社会变迁对传统养育模式带来的冲击。     

农村公共物品供给结构问题研究——基于多任务委托代理的视角

农村公共物品的供给在社会主义新农村建设中发挥着重要作用。目前,我国农村公共物品供给结构失衡,严重偏离农民对公共物品的需求,影响农民的积极性。采用Holmstrom和Milgrom的多任务委托代理模型对农村公共物品供给结构失衡问题进行分析,提出对农村公共物品供给主体应建立合理的激励机制和监督机制,以使公共物品供给能真正满足农民需求,也为该类问题的研究提供一个新的视角。
