Recurrence relations for moments of progressively censored order statistics from logistic distribution with applications to inference

In this paper, we establish several recurrence relations for the single and product moments of progressively Type-II right censored order statistics from a logistic distribution. The use of these relations in a systematic manner allows us to compute all the means, variances and covariances of progressively Type-II right censored order statistics from the logistic distribution for all sample sizes n, effective sample sizes m, and all progressive censoring schemes (R₁,…,R_m). The results established here generalize the corresponding results for the usual order statistics due to [Shah, 1966] and [Shah, 1970]. These moments are then utilized to derive best linear unbiased estimators of the location and scale parameters of the logistic distribution. A comparison of these estimators with the maximum likelihood estimations is then made. The best linear unbiased predictors of censored failure times are briefly discussed. Finally, an illustrative example is presented.     

Moments of Order Statistics from Weibull Distribution in the Presence of Multiple Outliers

In this article, we derive exact expressions for the single and product moments of order statistics from Weibull distribution under the contamination model. We assume that X₁, X₂, …, X_{n ? p} are independent with density function f(x) while the remaining, p observations (outliers) X_{n ? p + 1}, …, X_n are independent with density function arises from some modified version of f(x), which is called g(x), in which the location and/or scale parameters have been shifted in value. Next, we investigate the effect of the outliers on the BLUE of the scale parameter. Finally, we deduce some special cases.     

基于AVR单片机的无线语音搜索系统的设计

企业组织工程理论框架的提出与阐释

组织工程学不仅是应用细胞生物学和工程学的原理,研究开发修复、改善损伤组织结构和功能的生物替代物的一门科学,而且也为研究人类社会经济领域的组织功能缺损与修复提供了一种新视角。本文在分析组织工程学的发展趋势、企业组织的生物学特征的基础上,提出把组织工程学引入企业组织理论研究从而构建企业组织的组织工程学系统分析框架的构想,并着重对企业组织的组织工程学研究进行初步探讨。

20世纪80年代以来,伴随着改革开放和市场经济大潮的冲击,人们的家庭与婚姻观念发生了深刻的转变,我国离婚人数和离婚率持续上升,近五年来增速明显,单亲家庭逐渐增多。单亲母亲家庭作为一种特殊的家庭组织形式,已经是一个不容忽视的社会问题。对家庭成员的成长忽视,对于我国人口素质的提高带来极为不利的影响,也会给社会带来不稳定的因素。     

An optimal selection of two-level regular single arrays for robust parameter experiments

Efforts have been made in the literature to find optimal single arrays which work best for the robust parameter experiments. However, examples show that in many cases the optimal designs obtained by the existing criteria cloud not attain the maximum number of clear interested effects for robust parameter experiments. In this paper, through a similar way of Zhang et al. (2008) (ZLZA, in short), an aliasing pattern to measure the confounding between the interested effects and other effects for the case of robust parameter designs is introduced. A new criterion for selecting optimal two-level regular single arrays is proposed. In the consideration of the criterion, two rank-orders of effects are suggested: one is based on the interest of experimenters and the other is under the usual effect hierarchy principle. The optimal designs are tabulated in the appendix.     

A Single Man and a Tragic Woman

Depicting the fraught relationship between a gay man and his straight female best friend, Tom Ford's A Single Man (2009) offers a complex, and often contradictory, depiction of its leading female character, Charley. At once glamorous and troubled, stunning and damaged, Charley reproduces a number of problematic stereotypes regarding women, in general, and fag hags, in particular. At the center of these problems is the film's insinuation that Charley has a melancholic attachment to George, her gay male companion. At first glance, A Single Man reproduces Freudian constructs of melancholy as a pathological response to traumatic loss; this essay argues, however, that the film's many ambivalences also offer opportunities for critical consideration of melancholy as a tactical response to heteronormativity.
