Inference Robustness vs. Criterion Robustness: An Example

The two distinct concepts of inference and criterion robustness are illustrated with a simple example based on the one-parameter exponential model. The study of inference and criterion robustness of point and interval estimators of the population mean under a more general exponential power model involves simple but fascinating distribution theory. This example could be usefully exploited in elementary mathematical statistics courses, where the topic of robustness is often neglected.     

渠道伙伴关系中专用性投资的特点和作用:以日本汽车产业为例

在日本汽车产业系列化的连续交易制度中,专用性投资被用于特定企业或价值链伙伴成员而成为企业营销战略的重要部分。渠道关系中大量的专用性投资的存在,对维系和发展制造商与供应商长期稳定的合作关系具有重要作用,但以往的文献对此却研究不足。本文以日本汽车产业为例,具体分析了渠道伙伴间专用性投资的特点,着力研究了在长期渠道关系中专用性投资的作用以及存在的竞争效率与机会主义问题及策略方法,最后讨论了日本经验对我国经济发展及各种企业组织发展所具有的启示和借鉴意义。

《中国注册会计师独立审计准则》是中国注册会计师进行独立审计应掌握的原则。针对这一准则,本文拟从审计报告的签署、独立审计准则体系的层次、《盈利预测审核》第十五条存在的问题进行探讨。     

Constraining temptation: How specific and general rules mitigate the effect of personal gain on unethical behavior

Rules are often installed in order to constrain unethical behavior. Rules can be framed either in specific (“Don’t accepts gifts from clients.”) or general terms (“Don’t engage in conflicts of interest.”). The current investigation examines the effect of specific and general rules on unethical behavior and how this effect depends on personal gain resulting from the unethical behavior. The results of three preregistered experiments suggest that both specific and general rules counteract the increase in unethical behavior induced by high personal gain. Although the results were not fully consistent across all studies, specific rules appear more successful in doing this than general rules. In Studies 1 and 3, when personal gain from unethical behavior was (extremely) high, specific rules were more successful in reducing unethical behavior than were general rules. Results of Study 2 suggest that the larger effect of specific rules (compared to general rules) is caused by specific rules preventing people from engaging in moral rationalizations that justify their unethical behavior. A meta-analysis across all studies confirms this overall pattern. This research contributes to theory on rules, ethical codes, and the influence of personal incentives from unethical behavior.

《消法》新增之“消费者后悔权”的性质及适用

最新修改的《消费者权益保护法》增加的"消费者后悔权"制度,其法律性质宜界定为形成权中的一种具有无因性的特定解除权,可称"特定无因解除权"。消费者后悔权行使有严格的货物或服务范围及时间期限,且消费金额以不低于100~200元为宜。消费者后悔权的实际运行还依赖于强大的行业保障、协会保障、行政保障及有效的司法机制。     

Cryptosporidium Dose Response Studies: Variation Between Isolates

The infectivity of three different isolates of the waterborne protozoan parasite Cryptosporidium parvum has been tested in human feeding studies. These three isolates (Iowa, TAMU, and UCP) have different ID50s, indicating substantial variation in their infectivity for humans. This finding is of great importance for quantitative risk assessment as it provides strong evidence for heterogeneity in infectivity among isolates of the same species.

以往在对特定的方差分析（ANOVA）资料指定其数学模型时，都是根据因子及因子之间的互作效应的多少来进行的，似乎在ANOVA问题当中不存在模型选择问题。本文则表明在ANOVA当中不但存在着模型选择问题，而且利用Cp准则还能导致正确的结论。
