“水”、“月”、“死亡”是新时期以来回族文学作品中常见的象征意象。它们不仅渗透着华夏民族共有的审美情感,而且从本质上寄寓着回族人民独特的民族审美体验。     

Exploring the Ebbs and Flows of Community Engagement: The Pyramid of Engagement and Water Activism in Two Canadian Communities

In this article, we share results from a comparative study exploring the dynamics of community engagement surrounding local water advocacy organizations in two Canadian communities. Although emergent local issues and the perception of crisis triggered some short-term community engagement, social factors such as collective identity, a sense of community, and sense of efficacy appear to be more important for sustaining and deepening engagement. Drawing on the results, we show how the pyramid of engagement, by depicting activist engagement as a multilevel, developmental process, can serve as a useful tool for community engagement scholars and practitioners alike.     

The social benefits of water and sanitation projects in Northern Colombia: Cost‐Benefit Analysis,the Water Poverty Index and beyond

Water, and Sanitation projects play an important role in alleviating water‐related poverty in developing countries. There are several methodologies that will not only assess the performance of these projects but will also help to better identify the problem and its characteristics, and to improve the efficiency of the investment. The Water Poverty Index is one of them. It is a very useful tool that helps to measure water stress at the household level in a holistic way, and to identify priorities. It is important, however, to complement it with a Cost‐Benefit Analysis that will take into account the costs of the project. A case study in Northern Colombia illustrates this point.     

Farmers,trust, and the market solution to water pollution: The role of social embeddedness in water quality trading

Water quality trading (WQT) is a market arrangement in which a point-source water polluter pays farmers to implement conservation practices and claims the resulting benefits as credits toward meeting a pollution permit. Success rates of WQT programs nationwide are highly variable. Most of the literature on WQT is from an economic perspective emphasizing property rights, transaction costs, and the role of the price signal, but this institutional approach cannot fully account for the differential success rates between and within WQT programs. In this paper I turn to the role of social embeddedness and trust in helping explain these variable outcomes. Using interview data from all WQT programs nationwide I demonstrate that differential success rates between, and particularly within programs is largely determined by the presence or absence of a trusted local intermediary with relationships to the farming community. Trust helps WQT programs succeed because it makes information more credible to farmers, makes outreach to farmers more efficient, and buffers the risk that farmers may perceive in participating in the trading scheme.

目前,水利水电工程移民是中国社会中最不稳定的群体之一,不稳定的主要表现之一就是易发生＂群体性事件＂,对区域社会稳定构成直接威胁。政府在管理和处置水利水电工程移民群体性事件过程中,首先得认清事件的性质和机理,从而快速地找到处理问题的应对方案。而不同类型水利水电工程移民群体性事件的机理不同,其处置过程也不同。因此,要做到具体问题具体分析、具体处置,就有必要对水利水电工程移民群体性事件进行分类。为了突出当前水利水电工程移民群体性事件的主要表现形态、主要矛盾、研究和政策以及政府管理应关注的重点,结合对QW省水电移民社会稳定调查,本文按照事件规模、参与主体、性质、影响范围、引致原因等十余种基本标准,对水利水电工程移民群体性事件进行了划分。     

《水浒传》女性视点生成及其拓新价值

在英雄本位语境下,《水浒传》女性视点呈现出弱化、丑化、男化等非对称性、非常态化的建构。究其原因,除了宋明理学时代文化心理的深层影响外,更主要的是流传广布而极具世俗情味的江湖母题自然渗入《水浒传》的累积成型中,使得《水浒传》女性视点成为某些江湖母题的情节化、故事化和具象化,成为趋附于英雄本位而生的一类特定语境女性景观。《水浒传》的女性视点因对传统的文本模式、道德取向和审美习性的悬搁而呈现出一种全新的价值重构。

特殊的地理位置和气候环境铸造了傣族人民个性鲜明的水情结。文化是各个民族对特定环境的适应能力和适应成果的总和,透过傣族人民的水情结,我们将可以领略到该民族独特的生活习俗、审美追求和民族文化。     

An integrated approach for water resources decision making under interactive and compound uncertainties

In recent years, the issue of water allocation among competing users has been of great concern for many countries due to increasing water demand from population growth and economic development. In water management systems, the inherent uncertainties and their potential interactions pose a significant challenge for water managers to identify optimal water-allocation schemes in a complex and uncertain environment. This paper thus proposes a methodology that incorporates optimization techniques and statistical experimental designs within a general framework to address the issues of uncertainty and risk as well as their correlations in a systematic manner. A water resources management problem is used to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed methodology. The results indicate that interval solutions can be generated for the objective function and decision variables, and a number of decision alternatives can be obtained under different policy scenarios. The solutions with different risk levels of constraint violation can help quantify the relationship between the economic objective and the system risk, which is meaningful for supporting risk management. The experimental data obtained from the Taguchi's orthogonal array design are useful for identifying the significant factors affecting the means of total net benefits. Then the findings from the mixed-level factorial experiment can help reveal the latent interactions between those significant factors at different levels and their effects on the modeling response.

《水浒传》梁山聚义性质的传播学分析

《水浒传》中梁山聚义替天行道攻打官府的运动,到底是什么性质的,古往今来争论不休。古代文人多认为是忠义行为,也有部分正统文人认为是叛逆造反;上世纪20年代开始有人提出农民革命的说法,之后这一说法成为主导,似是不易之论;到了80年代才有人开始提出流民起义、忠义之举、武侠行为、反叛法律等非农民起义的观点。基于此,从传播学的视角对学术界关于《水浒传》梁山聚义性质的研究进行了解读分析,认为《水浒传》梁山聚义性质的研究是一个假命题,由于人们的错误理解而进入《水浒传》研究的范畴,再加上我国文史不分的传统、阶级分析法的引进和政治形势使然,使得这一命题的研究俨然成了现实中《水浒传》研究的必然议题。
