秋阳·创巴活佛对于藏传佛教西方传播的贡献

2014年是秋阳·创巴活佛圆寂二十七周年。他是二十世纪以来将藏传佛教佛法传播至西方世界的开拓性重要人物。他非凡的人生经历和佛法教导内容,至今仍在塑造并影响藏传佛教全球化的发展传播。     

浅论当代中国家庭伦理的构建——基于中西方个人与家庭伦理观的对比

中西方有着迥异不同的家族历史与家庭伦理,这极大地影响了中西方现代人的思维方式与生活方式,尤其对人的个体观念、团体观念产生了一种决定性的作用。文章简略对比中西方家族制的历史、家族伦理的显著差异,以及家族文化对当代中国家庭伦理构建的深刻影响,对我们扬弃中西方的个人、家庭伦理观,处理好个人的自由与对家庭的责任关系有一定的启示意义。     

Kinship Care and Transnational Parenting: The Intersection of Cultural Values and Practices

This study uses ethnographic research to examine the phenomenon of transnational parenting by migrant mothers from the African Caribbean community and their family who care for the mothers’ children. Twenty women’s narratives demonstrate the complexity of relationships between migrant mothers living and working in New York City and their extended family or kinship caretakers who coparent their children in their countries of origin. The study reveals three main factors that contribute to the success of transnational parenting: (1) informal kinship care-child fostering, (2) remittances, and (3) social networks. Policy and practice implications are explored.

《西游记》九十八回有一个阿傩向唐僧师徒索要"人事"的情节,这被许多人认为是作者表现阿傩索贿并进而讽刺佛教的重要证据。但从《西游记》的抑道扬佛倾向、从该情节所体现出的佛教教理教义、从作品的艺术构思与主题表现等方面来看析,作品中这个索要"人事"的情节,并非是对佛教的讽刺,而是作品整个佛教思想体系中的一个非常重要的组成部分,有着深刻的佛教文化内涵。     

“李约瑟难题”的再探索

"李约瑟难题"至今仍然困扰着学术界.学者们从各自的角度提出了不同的解答方案,但众说纷纭,莫衷一是.笔者通过对中西科学观在思维方式、价值取向、思想观念等方面的比较,认为近代科学在欧洲出现是科学自身发展的结果,中国传统科学根本不具备产生近代科学的要素,因此西方意义上的近代科学是不可能在中国诞生的.

在中国语法史、词汇史、文字学史的工作上,殷周时期的语言是首先值得注意的对象。因为就今可见的确实可靠的语文资料来说,殷周时期是中国语言文献历史当中我们能够追溯的最早的一个阶段。对于这个时期的语言事实有了明确的认识,才有可能知道此后各个时期语言在发展上的传承关系和新的现象。从西周开始历代复音词都有增加,构词的方法也由单音造词向复音词转变,所以我们通过对西周青铜器铭文的研究来了解西周汉语复音构词情况。

中国西部电影在其形成和发展过程中,始终与少数民族题材有着密切的联系。一方面,少数民族题材电影的创作为西部电影提供了丰富的素材和创作源泉,成为西部电影不断发展的重要推动力之一;另一方面,西部少数民族题材电影较为深刻地展现了西部少数民族的历史文化、生活环境和精神风貌,为中国少数民族题材电影的创作提供了广阔的发展平台,带来了新鲜的艺术活力,形成了一批标志性的作品。     

中西文化差异对跨文化商务活动的影响

文章分析了中西文化在价值观和思维方式两个方面的基本差异,并阐述了这些差异对国际商务谈判行为和国际商务管理等跨文化商务活动可能产生的影响.     

New cultural economies of marginality: revisiting the West Coast,South Island,New Zealand

Marginal regions have been the subject of political concern and remedial action in western states for several decades now. The West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand is an interesting case study in this regard, for recent economic growth has confounded earlier expectations of post-restructuring decline, while also contradicting several of the nostrums of new regionalism. In an effort to understand this trajectory, this paper draws on documents from public and private sector organisations, newspaper articles and field visits to examine developments in four key sectors of the West Coast's economy: mining, dairy farming, forestry and tourism. Economic growth is found to be closely linked to the cultivation of new markets for primary products, but efforts to rework the cultural dimensions of marginality have also been important. Value has been added to specific products through the insertion of references to the region's alpine and forested landscapes. Isolation and peripherality have been recast in more positive terms, echoing the broader reframing of New Zealand as a scenic, unspoiled destination. In adopting a cultural economic perspective on marginal regions, the paper illustrates the significance of symbolic forms of value, the potentially flexible nature of marginality as a discursive category, and the importance of the networks which connect regions to national and international flows of capital and tourists.
