应用英语翻译中语义问题思考

应用英语翻译过程中如何确定文本语义的问题。本文认为,应用英语翻译文本中所现的语义不是源语文本语义的翻版,而是与表层语义信息提取整合密切相连的,并受到译者知识图式的影响,因此可能与源语文本的语义存在一些差异,但这并不意味着错误,而可能意味着语义在翻译文本中的新生。     

图式理论与俄语新闻听力理解中的图式建构

针对俄语专业听力教学与测试中新闻听力理解这一难点,利用图式理论,通过分析俄语新闻在结构、内容、词汇等方面的特征,指出教师在俄语新闻听力教学中应帮助学生实现三大图式即结构图式、背景图式和词汇句法图式的建构的必要性并结合具体语料描述了三大图式的内容。研究结果对提高俄语专业听力教学效果有指导意义。     

“一棵树上吊死”构式应用中的意象图式及其认知扭曲探析

本文通过研究“一棵树上吊死”构式在不同情境中的应用,探讨了意象图式在语言中的认知扭曲。研究发现,“一棵树上吊死”构式的各个成分对应不同的认知范畴,“一棵树上吊死”这个情景中的行为一地点关系并不是以一一对应的方式投射到目标认知域的。这样的发现表明通过认知能力构建的知识网络呈现一体性倾向。     

图式理论在翻译中的运用

图式是“背景知识”,是人们存储于头脑中所有对世界的一般认识,它是人类知识的心理表征形式。将图式理论运用于翻译实践,可以说翻译即图式翻译。在图式翻译过程中译者应对文本的语言图式、语境图式和文化图式成功转译,方能使读者正确获取源语信息。     

The rationalization process of online game cheating behaviors

Online deviant behaviors have been prevalent since the Internet became ubiquitous, but research in this field is relatively scarce. The present study investigates a unique deviant behavior in online video gaming communities – game cheating – to further understand the scope of online deviant social behaviors. This paper aims to uncover how game players actively create and negotiate new meanings of game cheating in online games. Six focus groups were conducted to explore the rationalization process for engaging in game cheating among players of different online video games. It was discovered that elements of intentionality, utility, core gaming goals, evolving gaming norm, and social ties to gaming communities serve as important rationalizing process to justify game cheating behaviors. Through the discovery of these mental schemas for online game cheating, the paper discusses how online deviant behaviors are connected with social life online and form a unique online culture.

在简要介绍图式理论的基础上,从语言图式、内容图式、形式图式三个层次具体分析了图式理论在法律英语教学中的应用,分别提出了教学策略.最后,分析了图式理论的局限性,并提出应对之策.     

意象图式在转喻概念相互作用模式中的认知分析

文章研究了在隐喻转喻间相互作用的类型中意象图式的作用。探讨了三种意象图式（即容器图示、部分／整体图示、过量图示）在概念相互作用中特别是与转喻的关系方面的作用。表明意象图式有两个基本功能：构建一种存在于转喻映射中始源域和目标域之间的关系;提供一种语言表达的价值论价值。最后讨论了意象图式在隐喻转喻之间概念相互作用中的普遍性。     

The Moral Obligations of Some Debts

If given the opportunity to reduce your debt, albeit at some financial risk, would you take it? Interviews and observations in two debt settlement firms show that debt settlement clients tend not to calculate financial risks in deciding which debts to try to settle. Rather, they treat their relationship with their creditor as a reciprocal and ongoing one. If the service provided by their creditor was inadequate, clients feel justified in trying to settle their debt. Otherwise, they believe that they must pay back the debt in full. In line with recent work in economic sociology, we show that economic transactors are bound by the moral requirements of the relationship they are in. But debt settlement clients invent those relationships in at least two ways: turning a debt to an impersonal agency into a relationship with a person, and turning a relationship of inequality into one of equality. Clients may preserve some sense of autonomy in a disempowering relationship by conceptualizing their relationship with their creditor as one between equals. But there is a cost: As a result of the relational schemas on which they operate, they often refuse to try to settle debts that might be settled without lasting financial repercussions.
