ROW AND COLUMAN DESIGNS WITH CONTIGUOUS REPLICATES

A method is given for constructing row and column designs for situations where replicates are contiguous. Designs of this type are needed in cotton variety trials. A table of generating arrays is given from which a series of resolvable designs can be constructed; these designs are called latinized α-designs. Some results from cotton variety trials are presented.

农户主导型农村土地承包经营权流转规律研究

针对农户解决不好、政府或集体也解决不了的＂土地配置悖论＂,中央政府提出加强土地流转一般规律的研究。为了研究土地流转的一般规律,基于农户收入禀赋的一般特征,可把农民家庭归纳为＂五类农户＂。研究认为,农地流转的雁阵形态、驼峰分布、梯队演进、极化趋势与渐进流转特征体现了农户对家庭资源配置的占优匹配,因而是符合我国农业发展国情的,最受农民欢迎的流转模式。因此,在未来20年或更长时间,农户主导型流转模式将长期处于主流地位。任何违背国情的流转政策,不仅会造成＂三农＂问题的恶化,而且会诱发深层次社会危机。     

Generalized E(s 2) Criterion for Multilevel Supersaturated Designs

Several extensions of the popular E(s ²) criterion of Booth and Cox (1962 Booth , K. H. V. , Cox , D. R. ( 1962 ). Some systematic supersaturated designs . Technometrics 4 : 489 – 495 .[Taylor & Francis Online], [Web of Science ®] , [Google Scholar]) to multilevel supersaturated designs have been advanced in literature. These extensions are not unique due to different ways they measure overall nonorthogonality between all pairs of the columns of the model matrix. We exploit the connection of the E(s ²) criterion with A- and D-optimality that naturally lends itself to a generalized criterion for the multilevel situation in a unified way. The extensions provided in literature follow as special cases of the generalized criterion. A lower bound to the generalized criterion is derived for a wide class of designs, and a method of construction for the symmetrical case is discussed.     

On the construction of orthogonal factorial designs of resolution 11

A new method of construction of orthogonal resolution IV designs for symmetrical and asymmetrical factorials has been presented. Many new series of orthogonal factorial designs of resolution IV can be obtained by the above general method.     

VARIATION REDUCTION AND ROBUST DESIGNS

In this paper we consider two strategies for variation reduction. One of them is the exploitation of interactions. We also discuss the role of experiments in discovering interactions and in particular the use of robust designs to obtain the interaction between control and noise factors. Then we attempt to reduce the variation in a measurement system using a robust design.     

Two-level minimum aberration designs in N =2 (mod 4) runs

For two-level factorials, we consider designs in N=2 (mod 4) runs as obtained by adding two runs, with a certain coincidence pattern, to an orthogonal array of strength two. These designs are known to be optimal main effect plans in a very broad sense in the absence of interactions. Among them, we explore the ones having minimum aberration, with a view to ensuring maximum model robustness even when interactions are possibly present. This is done by sequentially minimizing a measure of the bias caused by interactions of successively higher orders.
