北洋时期的宗教慈善事业研究

北洋时期,宗教文化勃兴的一个主要表现就是宗教慈善事业大规模、全方位的展开。民国初年各地相继建立的一些医疗机构中,多注重医学教育和医院之间的合作,在传播西方的医学文化、提高医疗水平等方面作出了贡献;北洋时期,宗教界广泛设立育婴堂、开办孤儿院、创设盲童学校和聋哑学校等,这些都在一定程度上解决了当时中国社会面临的某些社会问题,促进了中国社会进步。

香港高校学生组织包括香港专上学生联会、香港青年大学生协会等全港性学生组织,以及各高校学生会、研究生会和学生社团组织等学生自治性组织.香港高校学生组织的干部通过竞选产生,还有一些"事务性"干部,不用参加竞选,多通过面试等渠道产生.香港学生组织的资金来源有会员每年缴纳的会费、社会和校友的捐助、学生组织经营和投资的收益、校方和特区政府的拨款.香港高校学生组织的重要职责是与校方形成制衡,维护学生的权益,同时组织同学开展活动.     

经济国际化进程中行业协会发展问题研究

一个国家和地区的市场化进程,必然伴随着协会等非政府组织的建立与发展,同时,协会等非政府组织的发展又反映着国家、地区的市场化水平和经济规模。本文通过考察我国行业协会发展的历史和国外行业协会发展的状况,对新形势下我国行业协会的发展提供了有益的建议。     

Approximating probability integrals of multivariate normal using association models

The bivariate plane is symmetrically partitioned into fine rectangular regions, and a symmetric uniform association model is used to represent the resulting discretized bivariate normal probabilities. A new algorithm is developed by utilizing a quadrature and the above association model to approximate the diagonal probabilities. The off-diagonal probabilities are then approximated using the model. This method is an alternative to Wang's (1987) approach, computationally advantageous and relatively easy to extend to higher dimensions. Bivariate and trivariate normal probabilities approximated by our method are observed to agree very closely with the corresponding known results.

Regulating Philanthropy The Legal and Accountability Framework for Singapore Charities

The Charities Act in Singapore provides a systematic approach to public accountability by promoting good governance of non-profit organizations. This paper focuses on the rise of philanthropy and the development of a regulatory framework to ensure public accountability of charities in Singapore. There is a need for greater transparency, communication, information, and support from the various systems, including the revenue and government authorities, as well as the stakeholders.     

基于兴趣调查的高校社团创建新思考——以深圳职业技术学院为研究个案

在文献研究的基础上，以深圳职业技术学院为研究对象，通过对学生在文娱体育、学术科技及社会公益等方面的兴趣调查，进行了基于学生兴趣爱好调查的社团创建新尝试，并在实践中加以运用，取得良好成效。

明末清初士人唐梦赉虽26岁被罢官,但居乡后倘佯山水,广泛交友,潜心著述,《志壑堂文集》正是其居乡四十余年生活状态的真实反映。唐梦赉一生虽不曾施展其志向,但是却无不得志士人之抑郁不平之气,而是力探理学,文关民生。由于其广泛的社会交往与高度的社会责任感,使得怀才不遇的他在地域社会中具有较高的社会声望,并逐渐确立了自己的位置。     

Contingent Gambling-Drinking Patterns and Problem Drinking Severity Moderate Implicit Gambling-Alcohol Associations in Problem Gamblers

Although problem gambling and problem drinking often co-occur, the processes underlying this association are not well understood. This study investigated the effects of contingent gambling-drinking patterns and problem drinking severity on implicit gambling-alcohol associations. Participants were 144 (34 female) problem gamblers. The South Oaks Gambling Screen (SOGS) measured severity of problem gambling. The Brief Michigan Alcohol Screening Test (BMAST) measured severity of problem drinking. The Implicit Association Test (Greenwald, McGhee, & Schwartz, 1998, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 74, 1464–1480) measured gambling-alcohol associations. Participants who reported drinking when they won displayed faster response time (i.e., priming) on trials where alcohol words were paired with gambling win (e.g., jackpot) vs. gambling loss (e.g., forfeit) words. The tendency to drink in response to losses did not influence the priming effect of win cues or moderate the effects of Win-Drinking Pattern on priming. Severity of problem drinking on the BMAST also correlated positively the priming effects of win cues. These findings indicate that a tendency to drink in response to gambling wins and more severe alcohol problems each coincide with stronger associations between gambling win and alcohol concepts in memory. Such associations can promote drinking and its attendant effects (e.g., poor decision-making) in problem gamblers, and thus, may contribute to co-morbid gambling and alcohol use disorders.     

Internal Marketing,Negative Experiences,and Volunteers'Commitment to Providing High-Quality Services in a UK Helping and Caring Charitable Organization

Abstact This empirical study examined the effects of “negative' contact experiences with beneficiaries on charity volunteers' job satisfaction and organizational commitment within a helping and caring charitable organization that for 3.5 years had operated an internal marketing program. It was hypothesized that negative experiences downwardly moderated (i) the impact of the charity's internal market activities on satisfaction and commitment, and (ii) the influences of certain job attributes (autonomy, teamworking, and supervisory support) on these variables. Three personal characteristics (affect intensity, vulnerability to stress, and a person's reasons for having become a volunteer) were also posited to moderate the effects of negative experiences on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Linkages between the last two variables and a volunteer's desire to provide high-quality client services were explored. The results indicated strong connections between job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and a volunteer's personal commitment to providing high-quality services. Levels of organizational commitment were influenced positively and significantly by the charity's internal marketing activities and negatively by the number of unpleasant client-contact experiences that a volunteer had to endure.
