Technology at the planning table: Activity theory,negotiation and course management systems

Abstract

This paper presents results from a qualitative inquiry into how online courses in UK and US HEIs are shaped by stakeholder negotiations around course management systems. The investigation used a multi-theory framework composed of Cervero and Wilson's (1994) negotiation of power and interests model and activity theory. Forty-six stakeholders from seven sites participated in the study. The findings identified four primary benefits that prompt stakeholders to employ specific course management systems and described two types of relationships that exist between the stakeholders and their CMS.

现代行政法平衡论的不平衡审视

现代行政法“平衡论”通过行政关系与监督行政关系的互动实现平衡,但是在涉及主体之间、行政与环境关系、执行中所导致的结果等方面并不平衡,其提倡的以民制权论在目前可行性也不强,经历着后现代冲击的行政法也需要有新的发展思考。     

银行业国际化的理论基础和历程分析

以国际贸易理论、资本流动理论、对外直接投资理论、产业组织理论为基础,从比较优势论、内部化理论、金融结构论、金融抑制和金融深化论、金融服务贸易和金融创新等角度对银行业国际化的动因作了多方面的分析。重点分析了现代银行业国际化的形成原因和特点,认为欧洲美元市场的兴起、金融创新、金融自由化等因素推动了银行业国际化的发展。     

共生理论视阈下中华民族共同体建构的五维向度

中华民族共同体建构的基本逻辑是一个从"求同存异"到"聚同化异"的过程,旨在构建一个多民族休戚与共、血脉相连的共生关系与共生状态。中华民族共同体的有效建构必须赋予"共生"的理念,以责任、族际、文化、利益、命运为共生单元的建构逻辑,进而推动中华民族政治共同体、文化共同体、价值共同体、利益共同体、命运共同体的全面建构。     

Entrenchment in publicly traded family firms: Evidence from the S&P 500

Family involvement in corporate governance through ownership, management, and board membership presents a unique dilemma for understanding the strategic impetus and costs of entrenchment decisions. The presence of shared family ties and the family-centered goals of firm principals call to question the applicability of extant agency arguments regarding the nature and antecedents of managerial entrenchment. Exploring this, we develop and test a model of family firm-specific determinants (i.e., family ownership and family's involvement in management and governance) of entrenchment in publicly traded firms by drawing upon principal-principal agency theory. Findings of the empirical analysis of family owned S&P 500 firms suggest family firms are motivated to entrench managers when doing so supports the pursuit of family-centric goals. However, the extent to which entrenchment supports such goals varies at different levels of family ownership.     

A framework to study strategizing activities at the field level: The example of CSR rating agencies

This paper responds to recent calls to bridge strategy and organization research by combining Strategy-as-Practice and Neo-Institutional Theory through re-theorizing the notion of strategic actor. We problematize the notion of strategic actor at the field level, and rely on insights from management and organization studies and sociology to advance a theoretical framework that conceptualizes organizations as social actors at the field level. We demonstrate our theoretical framework by drawing on corporate social responsibility rating agencies. We see corporate social responsibility rating agencies as supra-individual, social actors that are predisposed to assume an active role in defining and revisiting structural parameters within the society through their purposeful, meaningful actions and interactions. Our main contribution is to the development of the Strategy-as-Practice literature, achieved by re-theorizing the notion of strategic actor at the field level. This contribution responds to the micro-isolationism critique, and proposes a new focus for Strategy-as Practice research.     

基于犹豫模糊语言信息的前景决策方法

本文首先回顾了模糊信息下前景理论研究的现状,发现犹豫模糊语言这一决策中常见的信息表达形式在前景理论框架中的研究被忽略,同时犹豫模糊环境下的前景决策方法具有一定的应用背景;基于此,本文考虑到决策者在实际决策过程中惯用的信息表达以及面对收益和损失时不同的风险态度,试图在犹豫模糊语言环境下构造新的前景理论决策框架,建立基于犹豫模糊语言信息的前景决策方法,并给出具体的决策步骤;最后通过算例分析展示了该方法的实际应用过程,并与犹豫模糊语言环境下的期望效用决策结果进行对比,说明了该方法更符合实际决策情景。     

习近平新时代观的理论生成探讨

理顺习近平关于“中国特色社会主义进入新时代”的逻辑理路,有助于系统论证“新时代”的科学性和理论性。从方法论上看,习近平新时代观是应用马克思主义立场观点和方法得出的正确结论。从理论归因看,中国社会主要矛盾的转化作为习近平新时代观生成的主要标志,源于马克思主义关于矛盾运动的基本理论。从理论定位看,习近平新时代观展现的是中国发展的特殊阶段,内含着中国对自身发展的时代定位与目标趋向,渗透着中国与世界在共同发展中的新阶段、新高度、新未来,是对中国发展方向的顶层设计。
