学分制下实现高职图书馆教育功能的对策

学校实行学分制的情况下，高职图书馆利用馆藏的资源优势，通过上好检索课、组织好读书会、利用好网上课程、发挥学科馆员制度的优越性，使其教育职能得以实现，促进高职生的全面发展。     

Local Housing and Service Decisions

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to identify factors associated with local housing and service decisions that support aging adults in rural communities. These decisions represent de factostrategies that affect the quality of life of older residents and their ability to age in place. Data were collected from 951 informants in 134 Midwest rural communities. Analyses were undertaken to identify the role of community characteristics in predicting the availability of a group of housing options and support services. Findings support the notion that the community context is important to the delivery of key housing and service needs. Population size, proportion of community residents 65 years and older, and housing planning processes promoted gains in housing and services.

Aspects of Arranged Marriages and the Theory of Markov Decision Processes

The theory of Markov decision processes (MDP) can be used to analyze a wide variety of stopping time problems in economics. In this paper, the nature of such problems is discussed and then the underlying theory is applied to the question of arranged marriages. We construct a stylized model of arranged marriages and, inter alia, it is shown that a decision maker's optimal policy depends only on the nature of the current marriage proposal, independent of whether there is recall (storage) of previous marriage proposals.     

Stopping guidelines vs stopping rules: a practitioner's point of view

Monitoring interim accumulating data in a clinical trial for evidence of therapeutic benefit or toxicity is a frequent policy, usually carried out by an independent scientific committee. While statistical methodology has been developed to assess the significance of these interim analyses, such methods should not be viewed as absolute rules but only serve as useful guides. The decision process to terminate a trial early is very complex and many factors must be taken into account. The complexity of this decision process is illustrated by reviewing the experience of several recent clinical trials.

社会经济系统是复杂系统,因此决策者面临的是复杂动态的决策环境。本文从预测和方法两个方面分析了复杂系统研究对决策分析发展的影响,提出在本质不可预测的决策环境下,通过系统突现结构认识系统的发展,开发动态学习型的、注重灵敏度分析的、基于过程检验的决策方法,指出决策支持系统的设计也必须具有动态的适应能力。     

Aligning supply chain collaboration using Analytic Hierarchy Process

The significance of collaboration among supply chain members has been sufficiently stressed in the recent literature as a powerful tool for increasing accuracy of demand forecasts and for consequent cost reductions. Since it has been recognized that naïve forecasting is no longer cost efficient, Supply Chain (SC) members have found it very important to exchange relevant information that will help improve accuracy of demand forecasting. This information differs widely in terms of their characteristics. For example, some information (e.g. historic sales data) that is cheap to exchange may not contribute to a great increase in forecast accuracy. Similarly, some information may not be very reliable (e.g. demand forecast by individual SC members). In general, there is a trade-off in the kind of information required and the kind of information exchanged. This study analyses these trade-offs using an Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) model. The model is then implemented based on case studies conducted in two manufacturing firms. The AHP model ranks available information in terms of their contributions to improve forecast accuracy, and can provide vital clues to SC partners for preparing exchangeable data. From the case studies using AHP model, it was proved that using the preferred SC data, the firms could enhance forecasts accuracy. This in turn can help the firms to make decisions on SC collaborative arrangements for information exchange.
