培育批判性思维：大学教学的重要维度

批判性思维是关于相信什么和做什么的理性思考,它既是独立自主人格形成的基础,也是知识创新的前提,还是应对未来的定力。因此,为了培育大学生的批判性思维,大学教学就应确立新的知识观,开展问题导向的教学,更新教学评价方式。     

从批评语言学视角看名词化隐喻在法律语篇中的功能

名词化隐喻是法律英语极为明显的特征,在法律语篇中大量存在。批评语言学指出,语言具有概念功能、人际功能和语篇功能。在批评语言学基础上,名词化隐喻在法律语篇中具有的元功能包括：属性名物化;隐去施动者,尽量降低人际功能的发挥;转移信息焦点,增强语篇衔接连贯功能;增强表达的信息密集度,增强语篇的简洁连贯功能。     

批判性思维倾向与英语学习的相关性研究

为探究批判性思维倾向与英语学习的关系,文章采用了香港理工大学彭美慈等修订的CTDI-CV问卷调查表,对大连理工大学机械学院机械制造及其自动化专业的普通班及英语强化班的06、07、08级全日制在校本科生进行了调查。结果表明,批判性思维倾向与英语教学强度、英语学习成绩和平时学习英语的时间存在一定的相关性。     

略论《桃花扇》中对儒家士大夫的批判

作为孔子的后代,深谙儒家之道的孔尚任在他的名著《桃花扇》中,对作为儒家代表的士大夫阶层,虽然也隐微地寄予了自己救国救民的期望,但更多的则是对他们或祸国殃民,或无能救国的批判,而赞扬了被孔子认为“难养”的“女子与小人”的侠肝义胆,有勇有谋,并在他们身上寄托了未来的希望。这不能不说是对儒家政治观的一大发展。     

亚里士多德闲暇观解析及启示

对亚里士多德的闲暇观进行分析,指出其闲暇观与其幸福观紧密相连,从闲暇与幸福、闲暇与节制、闲暇与财富、闲暇与教育、闲暇与消遣等多重关系中凸显出来,表现为一种自足的、节制的、符合适度原则的沉思活动,认为亚里士多德的闲暇观对现代社会人们追求闲暇幸福的生活有诸多启示。

本文通过决策参数的分析,对决策结论进行了敏感度分析。找出影响决策结论的参数,以及参数在什么区间内变化会(不会)影响决策方案的排序结论。并通过实例分析与验证了本方法的合理性与可行性。本文所得结论对任何以方案排序为结论的决策方法均适用。     

The Challenges of Creating Critically Reflective Groups

In this article the author reflects on her experiences in establishing an enabling climate in critically reflective groups. The author also addresses some particular challenges for educators and participants who are firmly committed to social justice values. The author outlines some embedded ways of thinking about how we make knowledge and how we make a sense of ourselves that can inhibit critical reflection. The author pinpoints five specific internalised cultures about “the expert,” “the manager,” “the evangelist,” “the victim,” and “the technician.” From an awareness of these, the author then suggests an orientation for enabling critical reflection based on the notion of “co-researching.”     

The Causal Power of Discourse

This paper outlines a realist approach to the social ontology of discourse. It seeks to synthesise some elements of the approach to discourse found in the early work of Michel Foucault with a critical realist understanding of the causal power of social structures. It will argue that discursive structures can be causally significant when they are normatively endorsed and enforced by specific groups of people; that it is not discourse as such but these groups—discursive circles—that are causally effective; and that such an account allows us to reconcile the role of discourse with that of the subject.     

‘CRASH’ – TOWARDS A CRITICAL PEDAGOGY OF WHITENESS?

Critical whiteness studies has produced significant analysis of the terrors of white supremacist power. However, in relation to cultural-media studies pedagogy, impassioned calls for the denouncement of whiteness raise troublesome concerns and limits for productively addressing students' racialized identities. I maintain that renouncing whiteness in anti-racist teaching does not adequately connect with commonsense and affective experiences of ‘race’ in everyday life for many students. Through a ‘materialist’ analysis of the film Crash (2005), this article opens up the question of the im/possibility of engaging whiteness from an anti-racist stance that neither condemns nor buttresses white identity. Crash, considered from a reading practice that does not simply dwell on textual meaning and interpretation, offers an opportunity to pedagogically engage with the ambivalent representations of ‘race’ which pervade contemporary culture.
