批判话语分析是西方现代文明进行反思后出现的一门新兴跨学科社会科学,其目的是通过语言分析来研究和阐释社会文化问题.要了解这门学科对研究中国问题的价值,我们有必要从语言哲学角度来认识今天东西方的话语关系.根据海德格尔、维特根斯坦和庄子等人的语言哲学思想,语言表述的真理性和社会活动的合理性需要从存在论的角度来审视.中国语言在现代化过程中沉淀了一种不平等的东西方话语霸权关系,它以话语体裁的方式支配着不同领域的社会活动,并导致中国传统文化边缘化及其他社会问题,如中医技术化、教育异化、管理语言数字化,等等.在这里,语言作为一种存在的敞开变成了为支配而存在的工具,"他者"话语通过自己的嘴试图从根本上改变中国传统话语的内在结构和文化特征.  相似文献

诸多学者从不同角度对“思辨缺席症”的原因进行诊断,并开出了不同的“处方”,但因为过于注重传统历史文化和学科特点因素,治疗方面更多偏重于从课程、课标、教材、师资等宏观方面的研究,致使研究面过宽,可操作性较弱。从普存性和现代思维的角度来把脉“思辨缺席症”,然后从课堂、教师和学生等微观视角开出“去权威、培质疑、激思辨”的“处方”进行治疗,在大环境难于改变的情况下微调小环境下的教学思维来培养学生的思辨能力,为症状的消除提供了实践性和可操作性。  相似文献

In 2009 the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) released a position statement calling for the implementation of media literacy in social studies education. NCSS argues that if today's students are to become engaged citizens as adults, they must acquire the skills and knowledge associated with media literacy. Using this position statement as foundation, I developed a media literacy framework for use in the social studies classroom that applies prevailing theories on media and cultural studies. For consumers of media to engage in the practice of citizenship they need to acquire the tools needed to negotiate the waters of the many media texts that are produced. For a consumer of media texts to negotiate the meaning and influence of those texts, that consumer must use a framework that applies approaches that are historical, empirical, interpretive, and critical. As we shall see, these approaches are necessary if citizens are to engage effectively in a democracy that is flooded with such texts.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

This article examines how school leaders in a religious school serving traditionally marginalized students improve their school communities through constructing space for caregiver engagement. This study suggests how counter-narratives of critical care can inform social justice leadership in schools. The results, from a case study of a Catholic urban elementary school that uses innovative and effective strategies to engage caregivers, show that educational leaders create spaces for engaging caregivers by developing relationships with them and systematically reducing barriers to their participation in the school community. Analyzing these results through the critical care theory lens illuminates how these spaces value diverse forms of social and cultural capital are strengthened by alliances with nontraditional support structures. This research contributes to our evolving understanding of caregiver engagement by presenting a textured analysis of a case study as viewed through a critical care conceptual framework.  相似文献

This paper explores the suggestion that younger students and social workers are more accepting of neoliberal social work practices than their older counterparts, understanding social problems more readily as failings of individual behaviour rather than as produced by societal forces such as inequality, poverty, and punitive social policy. The suggestion is made that the acceptance of a hegemonic view of people in poverty and other difficulties, which is simple and reductionist, and therefore, easy to grasp, can only be challenged by sophisticated critical thinking. Assignment results from two modules within one social work programme which significantly correlate marks attained and student age are considered in the light of the suggestion that younger students are struggling with critical thinking, and therefore, with deconstructing the neoliberal hegemony.  相似文献

In the wake of the closure of the Department of Cultural Studies and Sociology at the University of Birmingham, UK, in July 2002, this article argues that an important legacy of cultural studies, critical and reflexive pedagogy, is the real casualty of this event and future generations of highly motivated and strong students its victims. The closure is presented as a case study of the penetrations of an audit culture into the intellectual fabric of higher education and academic and scholarly identities. Whilst cultural studies has permeated many areas of human sciences, the abrupt ending of the Birmingham Unit severs its connection with the ‘mythic wellspring’ of the CCCS and serves as a dire warning for the future of our lives as teachers, critical intellectuals and scholars.  相似文献

This is a self-narrative account written retrospectively by a UK-based social work academic reflecting on the direct experience of being a psychiatric inpatient. A contextualization is established for the experience of psychosis and the psychiatric response. Psychosis is justified as a rational response that challenges the otherness often adopted toward users of mental health services. The psychiatric system is found to be restrictive and disempowering, posing a barrier to recovery. Personal narrative experience is analyzed considering the strengths of psychiatric care, which are contrasted against informal support mechanisms. Informal support proves to be beneficial as opposed to coercive psychiatric hospital care.  相似文献
