预期收益最大化与“蚁族”现象

蚁族现象的本质是大学毕业生选择在大城市还是中小城镇就业的问题。从理性人假设的角度来看,"蚁族"现象的原因在于"蚁族"们为了获得更多的就业机会、更高的就业质量等经济收益,和更多的教育收益、消费收益、心理收益和健康收益等非经济收益,从而主动选择在大城市就业的结果。减少"蚁族"现象的思路在于提高大学毕业生收入、促进教育公平和均衡发展、重视发展中小城镇、引导大学毕业生到中小城镇就业。     

Non-parametric Analysis of Covariance – The Case of Inhomogeneous and Heteroscedastic Noise

Abstract.  The purpose of this paper was to propose a procedure for testing the equality of several regression curves f _i in non-parametric regression models when the noise is inhomogeneous and heteroscedastic, i.e. when the variances depend on the regressor and may vary between groups. The presented approach is very natural because it transfers the maximum likelihood statistic from a heteroscedastic one-way analysis of variance to the context of non-parametric regression. The maximum likelihood estimators will be replaced by kernel estimators of the regression functions f _i . It is shown that the asymptotic distribution of the obtained test-statistic is nuisance parameter free. Asymptotic efficiency is compared with a test of Dette & Neumeyer [Annals of Statistics (2001) Vol. 29, 1361–1400] and it is shown that the new test is asymptotically uniformly more powerful. For practical purposes, a bootstrap variant is suggested. In a simulation study, level and power of this test will be briefly investigated and compared with other procedures. In summary, our theoretical findings are supported by this study. Finally, a crop yield experiment is reanalysed.

Reverse Regression,Fairness, and Employment Discrimination

Possible salary discrimination can be studied by comparing mean salaries of, say, males and females, after statistical adjustment for differences in job qualifications. The adjustment is often made by regression, with salary as dependent variable, and job qualifications and sex as independent variables. One might also regress job qualifications on salary and sex, a procedure called reverse regression. Ideas about fairness as well as technical concepts are relevant to discrimination studies. There are two distinct aspects of fairness, one based on comparisons of salary and the other based on comparisons of qualifications. Both concepts are needed to evaluate fairness.     

Empirical Performance and Asset Pricing in Hidden Markov Models

Abstract

To improve the empirical performance of the Black-Scholes model, many alternative models have been proposed to address leptokurtic feature, volatility smile, and volatility clustering effects of the asset return distributions. However, analytical tractability remains a problem for most alternative models. In this article, we study a class of hidden Markov models including Markov switching models and stochastic volatility models, that can incorporate leptokurtic feature, volatility clustering effects, as well as provide analytical solutions to option pricing. We show that these models can generate long memory phenomena when the transition probabilities depend on the time scale. We also provide an explicit analytic formula for the arbitrage-free price of the European options under these models. The issues of statistical estimation and errors in option pricing are also discussed in the Markov switching models.

作家以自杀的方式结束生命 ,构成了“文革”期间引人注目的特殊现象。历史地看 ,自杀一是因“活不下去”而以非常方式获得生存痛苦的解脱 ,一是以“不活下去”为最后手段来维护自身神圣的精神价值观念。“文革”期间作家的自杀 ,一方面是由于特定的社会条件将他们置于“活不下去”的境遇 ,另一方面也是他们为恪守人格理想而对传统精神的自觉回归。他们的自杀无疑是对丧失理性的社会的一种强烈抗议 ,但较之屈原的沉江自殉 ,却又少了几分壮烈而多了几分悲哀。然而 ,在特定的历史境遇中 ,这种选择却构成了中国作家良知未泯的确证。

文学史建构功能的凸现 ,关键是史家主体意识的弘扬 ;重视文学本体和培养文学素质的文学史 ,才能还原出文学的鲜活 ;而文化视域的对话和交流 ,为我们提供了若干文学史新理念和多样叙述方式的构想。文学史有它的过去 ,也有它的未来。这是一个永恒的学术话题

国内有关道德利他现象的研究已经在诸多的理论层面和实践领域展开。从研究主题的角度，呈现出基本理论、影响因素和促进策略等九个主题交相辉映；从发展脉络的角度，表现出相关理论、影响因素和个案研究等七个方面有待改进。日后将会在道德利他的理论研究和个案关注等两个层面出现新的增长点。
