Rabbinical response to domestic violence: A qualitative study

Clergy, including Rabbis, though not specifically trained to provide domestic violence (DV) counseling, are often now considered formal helpers because of the active role they have taken in addressing DV issues among congregants. Participants were presented with two vignettes about couples engaged in conflict and asked to describe how they would respond to each. The Rabbis in this sample, while willing and desiring to help, also talked much about their discomfort with providing advice, as they did not feel qualified to help or to provide advice. Implications for social work practitioners and educators will be discussed.     

简论中国内资直销企业的社会责任

近年来，每到年终岁尾总会发生一些获得国家商务部颁发直销牌照的企业，被国家公安机关、政府职能部门以及新闻媒体以涉嫌非法传销所曝光。虽然导致这种现象的原因较多，但笔者认为其根本原因是由于直销企业缺少基本社会责任所造成的。就此现象调查分析认为，中国直销企业不仅需要改变现有的经营方式，更重要的是需要不断完善社会责任体系，才可以从根本上改变“被妖魔化”的现状。为此，提出一些不成熟的想法，以请教社会同仁。     

Intimate Partner Violence: Modifying an Internet-Based Safety Decision Aid to a New Zealand Context

Women experiencing intimate partner violence face complex decisions in navigating their safety. In a feasibility study, we examined the suitability of an intimate partner violence interactive online decision aid developed in the United States for its application in New Zealand, particularly with regard to cultural appropriateness. We conducted focus group sessions with women who experienced partner violence and focus group sessions with service providers. Women completed the U.S. online decision aid tool and provided feedback on the safety decision criteria, content, and design. Considering the findings from the focus group sessions the decision aid was modified. We reflect on the process of balancing women's stories with technical limitations and constraints of a replication study.     

Traumatic Stress Symptoms in Children Exposed to Intimate Partner Violence: The Role of Parent Emotion Socialization and Children's Emotion Regulation Abilities

Exposure to intimate partner violence (IPV) is a traumatic life event. Almost 50 percent of IPV‐exposed children show subsequent post‐traumatic stress symptoms (PTSS), and they are at increased risk for depression. We examined maternal emotion socialization and children's emotion regulation as a pathway that may protect IPV‐exposed children from developing PTSS and depression. Fifty‐eight female survivors of IPV and their 6‐ to 12‐year‐old children participated. Results showed no direct relations between maternal emotion socialization and child adjustment. However, several indirect effects were observed. Higher mother awareness and acceptance of sadness and awareness of fear predicted better child sadness and fear regulation, respectively, which in turn was related to fewer child PTSS. Similar indirect pathways were found with child depression. In addition, mothers’ acceptance and coaching of anger was associated with better child anger regulation, which related to fewer depression symptoms. Implications for prevention and intervention with high‐risk families are discussed.     

Coping with trauma in domestic migrant worker narratives: Linguistic,emotional and psychological perspectives

Trauma can be defined as an event that goes beyond ordinary modes of experience and linguistic representation. It represents a break not just with a particular form of representation but with the possibility of representation at all. Drawing on a large corpus of domestic migrant worker narratives, the article analyses trauma narratives in which migrant women share their experiences while working for abusive employers. The stories deal with unspeakable suffering and humiliation, and the article attempts to outline the narrative structures that characterise trauma storytelling: broken narratives with voids in the narrative flow. It also analyses the emotional component of trauma narratives focusing on crying, which is seen as an authentication of feeling and meaning. Finally, the article considers how the women make sense of their traumatic experiences, and how peer support becomes essential in the narrators' attempts to rewrite their life stories from victimhood to survival and beyond.     

国内社会保障研究的趋势和内容分析——以《社会保障研究》为基础

近年来社会保障一直是政府和社会关注的热点话题,也是公共管理学科下的重要分支。本文以《社会保障研究》为文献基础,选取了《社会保障研究》2005年至2012年的文献作为数据来源,分析了国内社会保障研究的内容变化和社会保障研究趋势的相关特点。     

扩大内需政策对城乡经济协调发展的作用——基于城乡投入产出模型

本文基于自行编制的中国城乡投入产出表,利用生产诱发系数、诱发依赖系数和需求影响报酬模型,定量分析了扩大内需政策对城乡经济协调发展的作用。具体测算了4万亿元投资和家电下乡补贴政策对社会经济和城乡协调发展的影响以及缓解外需下滑的效果。计算结果显示:4万亿元投资和家电下乡等扩大内需政策可诱发全社会总产值增加额101251亿元,相当于2008年社会总产值的11.8%;4万亿元投资对城镇工业的诱发额相当于2008年工业总产值的14%。家电下乡对家电制造及相关行业的诱发额相当于2008年家电制造业产值的41%。4万亿元投资和2009年的家电下乡补贴对社会总产值诱发额比2009年上半年出口减少导致社会总产值的损失高76847亿元;4万亿元投资和家电下乡两项措施合计使城镇和农村居民人均收入分别增加1879元和786元,相当于2008年城镇居民人均收入的11.8%和农村居民人均收入的16.8%。但是,4万亿元投资和家电下乡对城镇劳动者报酬的诱发效果大于对农村劳动者报酬的诱发效果,对促进城乡居民收入均衡发展,来体现显著的促进作用。

"国学热"是新世纪以来中国社会上出现的一股引人注目的文化热潮。本文立足"国学热"与大众文化的关系,从人伦亲情电影与古装大片两个维度,分析了"国学热"中的国产电影创作,着重总结了其在艺术成就、市场成绩以及文化影响力方面的得与失,并在此基础上对国产电影如何有效发挥文化、媒介属性,实现与国学热潮的积极互动提出了参考建议。     

国际人权领域悖论的宪政解读——以美国为例

国际人权法作为为国家保护人权设定义务的条约、公约、国际习惯法的总和,对相关会员国国内人权保护机制的构建和运行具有越来越广泛的影响,甚至对个别国家的主权造成非常负面的影响。然而,考察国际人权法律的发展历程,以及主导此历程的发达国家如美国的经验,可以发现一些悖论性的历史表现。就美国而言,这一悖论性的历史表现背后存在着深厚的宪法根源。     

论家庭暴力防治立法中“家庭成员”之界定

我国在家庭暴力防治立法中对＂家庭成员＂界定时,需厘清民法通则、刑事诉讼法和两高司法解释等法律对＂近亲属＂规定的混乱局面,遵循大陆法系传统,借鉴大陆法系典型国家或地区成熟经验,以＂近亲属＂概念界定＂家庭成员＂。应借鉴国际社会和两大法系典型国家或地区的成熟立法经验,扩张＂近亲属＂概念,适应时代发展要求,对于具有同居、恋爱及其他相关亲密关系者,准用家庭暴力防治立法的相关规定。
