An emplrical bayes approach in estimating the parameters of the or more geometric distributions

The estimation of the parameters of two or more geometric distribuionsis considered by usinq an empirical Bayesian approach. Robbins (1983) gave empirical Bayes estimates if the number of distributions N is large, buthere we consider the cascwhore N is small. The parameters of the prior distribution areest imated by looking at maximum like lihood and momentest imation methods.     

Robust empirical likelihood for linear models under median constraints

In this paper, we consider the application of the empirical likelihood for

linear models under median constraints in view of robustness. For two simple median constraints, it is shown that conditions to ensure the consistency of the empirical likelihood confidence regions can be surprisingly relaxed compared with the normal approach under L norm. However, the coverage accuracy of the empirical likelihood confidence regions based on simple median constrains cannot be improved because of the discontinuity of the constraints. Therefore, a smoothed version of median constraint is proposed and a general theory is established to ensure its validity.     

The Semiparametric Normal Variance-Mean Mixture Model

We study the normal variance-mean mixture model from a semiparametric point of view, i.e. we let the mixing distribution belong to a non-parametric family. The main results are consistency of the non-parametric maximum likelihood estimator and construction of an asymptotically normal and efficient estimator for the Euclidian part of the parameter. We study the model according to the theory outlined in the monograph by Bickel et al. (1993) and apply a general result (based on the theory of empirical processes) for semiparametric models from van der Vaart (1996) to prove asymptotic normality and efficiency of the proposed estimator.     

Semiparametric Likelihood Based Method for Goodness of Fit Tests and Estimation in Upgraded Mixture Models

We use Owen's (1988, 1990) empirical likelihood method in upgraded mixture models. Two groups of independent observations are available. One is z ₁, ..., z _n which is observed directly from a distribution F ( z ). The other one is x ₁, ..., x _m which is observed indirectly from F ( z ), where the x _i s have density ∫ p ( x | z ) dF ( z ) and p ( x | z ) is a conditional density function. We are interested in testing H ₀: p ( x | z ) = p ( x | z ; θ ), for some specified smooth density function. A semiparametric likelihood ratio based statistic is proposed and it is shown that it converges to a chi-squared distribution. This is a simple method for doing goodness of fit tests, especially when x is a discrete variable with finitely many values. In addition, we discuss estimation of θ and F ( z ) when H ₀ is true. The connection between upgraded mixture models and general estimating equations is pointed out.     

增值税犯罪问题的实证研究——以福建省为例

通过对福建省的增值税犯罪的个罪案件调查、研究和分析提出,涉税案件犯罪嫌疑人有计划地实施犯罪,作案手段专业,反侦查能力较强,常采用隐匿记账凭证,虚开农副产品收购凭证等手段进行偷税。加强对重点地区和行业的税收专项整治工作,加强税务部门与公安部门的协作能较好地防范增值税犯罪。建立科学的防范体系,为案件侦破和有效预防犯罪提供保障。     

煤炭企业集团发展战略的实证研究——以郑煤集团公司为例

大型煤炭企业近年来越来越重视企业发展战略的研究和制定。本文以郑煤集团为例,对其外部环境应用EFE矩阵、内部环境应用IFE矩阵进行了分析,发现郑煤集团在整个行业中仅处于平均水平,其发展战略亟待改进。在此基础上,本文利用SWOT矩阵为其设计了四类战略方案,并采用QSPM矩阵从中选择出了符合郑煤集团实际发展需要的战略方案。     

On the relative accuracy of certain bootstrap procedures

We show the second-order relative accuracy, on bounded sets, of the Studentized bootstrap, exponentially tilted bootstrap and nonparametric likelihood tilted bootstrap, for means and smooth functions of means. We also consider the relative errors for larger deviations. Our method exploits certain connections between Edgeworth and saddlepoint approximations to simplify the computations.     

中国民营快递企业竞争力指标体系探讨及实证分析

民营快递企业要获得持续发展，必须努力提高自身的比较竞争力水平。文章在考虑快递产业基本特征的前提下，重点从民营快递企业目前面，临的主要问题着手，建立了中国民营快递企业的竞争力指标体系，并在此基础上从服务水平、时效水平、价格水平三个方面实证分析了若干民营快递企业的竞争力，最后对民营快递企业如何培育竞争力提出了若干建议。     

Cramér‐von Mises statistics for discrete distributions with unknown parameters

Choulakian, Lockhart & Stephens (1994) proposed Cramér‐von Mises statistics for testing fit to a fully specified discrete distribution. The authors give slightly modified definitions for these statistics and determine their asymptotic behaviour in the case when unknown parameters in the distribution must be estimated from the sample data. They also present two examples of applications.     

企业生命周期不同阶段的员工感情承诺实证研究

文章以上海、南京和广东地区416家制造企业为样本,实证研究了企业生命周期不同阶段员工感情承诺的不同表现。研究结果表明,企业生命周期与员工感情承诺显著相关,企业快速发展阶段的感情承诺高于创业阶段和成熟阶段,衰退阶段员工感情承诺最低。企业国别因素对感情承诺没有显著影响,但是企业所有制对感情承诺影响较大。
