基于PC模拟的CSTN-LCD驱动验证

针对彩色超扭曲向列液晶显示器(CSTN-LCD)的硬件驱动算法模型及灰度技术,建立了基于PC的程序模型,通过PC机及其显示屏模拟硬件驱动CSTN-LCD显示。并根据多线寻址算法与灰度技术的不同组合,均衡各种影响因素,保证在ASIC设计时获得最佳性能价格比的前提下,验证了帧比率控制?多线寻址?脉宽调制方案实现CSTN-LCD驱动的可行性,为下一步进行寄存器传输级的电路设计提供了有效的理论根据和参考。     

朱仙镇古版年画中五色审美的偏色研究

我国民间美术主要以红、黄、蓝、白、黑五种纯色表现 ,即五色审美。然而 ,以朱仙镇古版年画为代表的河南民间美术诸形式中 ,传统五色审美中缺少蓝色 ,是一尚未解开之谜。文章朔源寻根 ,并结合色彩学原理和民间审美心理 ,从多方面对这一偏色问题进行了剖析和论证。     

基于统计的面部校色法

在虚拟照像系统中 ,肤色特征易受光线、背景色彩和观测角度的影响 ,如有强光时人的脸色就偏暗 ,严重影响了视觉效果。提出了采用软件技术来加以补偿的方法。该方法是基于概率统计和模糊统计知识 ,根据基于肤色的人脸实时跟踪技术[2 ] 来建立肤色模型 ,通过Matlab工具软件来进行实验训练 ,提取出最佳肤色特征值作为参考来对整个图像进行识别 ,从而检测到人的面部 ,进而对其进行校色处理 ,有效地保证了虚拟照像系统的相片质量 ,最后我们利用VisualC 实现该算法。实践表明 ,该方法可以增强像片质量

Sequential parallel comparison design with two coprimary endpoints

A placebo‐controlled randomized clinical trial is required to demonstrate that an experimental treatment is superior to its corresponding placebo on multiple coprimary endpoints. This is particularly true in the field of neurology. In fact, clinical trials for neurological disorders need to show the superiority of an experimental treatment over a placebo in two coprimary endpoints. Unfortunately, these trials often fail to detect a true treatment effect for the experimental treatment versus the placebo owing to an unexpectedly high placebo response rate. Sequential parallel comparison design (SPCD) can be used to address this problem. However, the SPCD has not yet been discussed in relation to clinical trials with coprimary endpoints. In this article, our aim was to develop a hypothesis‐testing method and a method for calculating the corresponding sample size for the SPCD with two coprimary endpoints. In a simulation, we show that the proposed hypothesis‐testing method achieves the nominal type I error rate and power and that the proposed sample size calculation method has adequate power accuracy. In addition, the usefulness of our methods is confirmed by returning to an SPCD trial with a single primary endpoint of Alzheimer disease‐related agitation.     

“The Day All of the Different Parts of Me Can Come Along”: Intersectionality and U.S. Third World Feminism in the Poetry of Pat Parker and Willyce Kim

This article brings to light the poetry of Pat Parker and Willyce Kim, two key figures within the 1970s and ‘80s women in print movement. While Parker and Kim have been rightly placed within African-American and Asian-American histories, respectively, and working-class and lesbian-feminist literary histories, their work is most fully understood within the context of U.S. Third World Feminism. Through close readings of poetic form and content in addition to engagement with current debates about intersectionality as a methodology, the article links Kim and Parker's works to central contributions of U.S. Third World Feminism such as intersectionality and power across and within difference that continue to influence feminist theory today.

ABSTRACT

Developments in intellectual property law (and its interpretation) have opened the door for new claims to “ownership” in the domain of food. From the copyrighting of recipes to the trademarking of the “cylindrical configuration” of the Cinnabon cinnamon bun, food and its sensory properties appears to be increasingly governed, channeled, and transformed by commercial demands and concerns over competition. The unique role of color in this phenomenon has yet to be explored, and this article traces how food, color, and the law intersect—as well as the significance of the overlap. Specifically, the article examines the varied and complex ways in which color tints our edibles, probing attempts at color control and the sometimes contested nature of the process. This exploration of food and color will reveal the central and often fraught role of the law in bolstering—and also shaping—the semiotic, symbolic, and cultural meaning of food and hue.     

The Psychological Effects of Skin Color on African Americans' Self-Esteem

Abstract

Skin color distinction is a well-kept secret in African American communities. This paper analyzes the psychological effects of this phenomenon using the framework of symbolic inter-actionism and “interpersonal theory.” It suggests that the hue of one's skin tends to have a psychological effect on the self-esteem of African Americans, although that assertion is not borne out in the literature. Strategies are proposed for addressing skin color discrimination with persons with very dark skin.
