1956年毛泽东在主持写作“两论”的过程中,提出马列主义同中国实际进行第二次结合的重要课题,具有深厚的实践基础和历史背景。“两论”从哲学层面发出了探索中国特色社会主义道路的理论先声;产生了社会主义社会基本矛盾的理论萌芽,成为社会主义改革理论发展链条中的重要一环;树起了反对教条主义的理论旗帜,为实现第二次结合提供了解放思想的重要武器;奠定了邓小平实现第二次结合的认识基础,孕育了当代中国改革开放的历史因子。

《文心雕龙.时序》的“质文代变”和“文变染乎世情”是刘勰在共时性框架下的对于历代文学的总结,“崇替在选”揭示了政治教化、社会风尚和统治者好恶对于文学的影响,反映出刘勰的文学史的线索观是完全的他律论模式,并以经典作为主要的文学史的价值评判标准。     

自然语言理解综述

为了解决计算机理解自然语言问题，产生了自然语言理解这一研究方向，文章归纳了自然语言理解研究中的一些关键问题，整理了国内外自然语言理解技术发展的简史，讨论了自然语言理解技术的主要进展，并针对重大的研究工作做了粗浅的评述。最后对该学科的研究前景进行了展望。

论近代中国船政创新与中国文化转型

中国近代船政文化的开拓者们曾经造就亚洲最先进的近代造船基地和近代海军,培养出许多近代新型人才,为中国传统文化的近代转型作出了杰出的历史贡献。然而,由于清朝政府未能及时进行全面深刻的体制改革,中国近代船政创新惨遭失败;由于许多中国人深受君主专制主义观念的束缚,中国文化转型之路曲折漫长。认真吸取中国近代船政文化历史所提供的经验教训,有助于尽快完成中国传统文化的现代转型。     

Fundamental references from the Western culture

This article presents theoretical elements concerning the ‘nature versus culture’ confrontation as a particular aspect of the worldwide expansion of Western civilization. Several speculations are made concerning the philosophical foundations which have provided the base for the current political and economic mega-scenarios in the contemporary world. We turn our attention to the articulations of the concept of nature with the processes of mondialization of Western culture and with the history of universal culture. Finally, several considerations are made on the dynamics of economic processes on a world scale and projections on the impact of science and technology in the social and political frames that are taking place in the contemporary world.

Moments in the Methodology of Meso History

Meso history is that branch of the history of sociology that focuses on social relations, that is, patterns of connection among groups, group members, and group meanings, as explanatory factors in the shaping of sociology. The methodology of meso history consists of strategies for discovering, documenting and patterning connections. This paper explores those strategies in terms of three moments generic to the research process in social science– moments of movement from intellectual curiosity to conceptualization, from research question to data collection and from data to presentation of findings–focusing on the distinctive permutations on this research process that occur in the practice of meso history.
