A new four-parameter lifetime distribution

A new four-parameter distribution is introduced. It appears to be a distribution allowing for and only allowing for monotonically increasing, bathtub-shaped and upside down bathtub-shaped hazard rates. It contains as particular cases many of the known lifetime distributions. Some mathematical properties of the new distribution, including estimation procedures by the method of maximum likelihood are derived. Some simulations are run to assess the performance of the maximum-likelihood estimators. Finally, the flexibility of the new distribution is illustrated using a real data set.

随着经济发展和区域开放程度的提高,传统的区域人口预测方法已不合时宜。本文依据人口平衡方程,运用人口分要素组合预测法,阐述了开放区域人口预测的基本方法和步骤,从而为具体的人口预测工作提供思路借鉴。

Layered clays in PP polymer dispersion: the effect of the processing conditions

The effect of processing conditions of material and interfacial/ interphase properties in clay/polymer nanocomposites are usually studied through experimental results of X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and rheology mechanical tests. In this paper, the interaction of the experimental parameters and properties measure results are studied by employing multivariate analysis of variance technique. This model is used to establish relations between several material and interfacial/interphase characteristics with the processing conditions. These results are then analyzed in detail, using univariate approach (analysis of variance), to point out the existing significant relations. In general, agreement with experimental observations was found, but few other nonagreeable things are found out, which must be studied in the future. The effects of all parameters are thus determined, using these new approach, to predict the relations between material and interfacial/interphase properties, without the need to duplicate experiments in laboratory.

Nonresident Father Involvement With Children and Divorced Women's Likelihood of Remarriage

Although remarriage is a relatively common transition, little is known about how nonresident fathers affect divorced mothers' entry into remarriage. Using the 1979–2010 rounds of the National Longitudinal Study of Youth 1979, the authors examined the likelihood of remarriage for divorced mothers (N = 882) by nonresident father contact with children and payment of child support. The findings suggest that maternal remarriage is positively associated with nonresident father contact but not related to receiving child support.

红色文化资源作为社会主义先进文化的源头和灵魂,是历史的,更是当代的。整合红色文化资源,对于我们新时期,占领农村思想文化阵地,保持基层党组织的先进性和纯洁性以及实现新农村建设的整体要求等都有着重要意义。文章以河北省乐亭县保护与开发李大钊故居,建设社会主义农村的具体实践为切入点,并以此为鉴,将其升华为一般理论,指出整合红色文化资源,建设社会主义新农村,必须将红色文化资源科学保护与合理开发相结合;将政府愿景规划与农民切身利益相结合;将红色文化资源与区域特色相结合。
