煤合成柴油（F-T柴油）在柴油机上的试验研究

试验研究了单缸柴油机燃用F-T柴油和0号柴油的燃烧特性和排放特性。与发动机燃用0号柴油相比，燃用F-T柴油时燃油消耗率降低，有效热效率升高，有害排放降低，结果表明，F—T柴油是一种高品质的柴油机代用燃料。     

An Inverse‐regression Method of Dependent Variable Transformation for Dimension Reduction with Non‐linear Confounding

Many model‐free dimension reduction methods have been developed for high‐dimensional regression data but have not paid much attention on problems with non‐linear confounding. In this paper, we propose an inverse‐regression method of dependent variable transformation for detecting the presence of non‐linear confounding. The benefit of using geometrical information from our method is highlighted. A ratio estimation strategy is incorporated in our approach to enhance the interpretation of variable selection. This approach can be implemented not only in principal Hessian directions (PHD) but also in other recently developed dimension reduction methods. Several simulation examples that are reported for illustration and comparisons are made with sliced inverse regression and PHD in ignorance of non‐linear confounding. An illustrative application to one real data is also presented.

Save: a method for dimension reduction and graphics in regression

Sliced average variance estimation (SAVE) is a method for constructing sufficient summary plots in regressions with many predictors. The summary plots are designed to capture all the information about the response that is available from the predictors, and do not require a model for their construction. They can be particularly helpful for guiding the choice of a first model. Methodological aspects of SAVE are studied in this article.     

A Non-Typical Least-Squares Solution to an Engineering Problem

In preposterior analysis, Bayesians use an Expected-Net-Gain chart to identify the optimal sample size. This kind of chart, it turns out, is also an excellent educational vehicle for illustrating many of the reasons given for preferring sampling from a population over taking a census, preferring one type of sampling over another (e.g., stratified sampling rather than simple random sampling), or allocating part of a fixed budget to reduce systematic error rather than using it all to reduce sampling errors. The use of such a chart in a basic statistics course is described.
