“和谐社会”是一种社会理念,在不同的历史形态下有不同的表现形式,党的十六届六中全会对构建“社会主义和谐社会”作出全面部署。高校党的建设在培养社会主义和谐社会建设人才、建设社会主义和谐文化、发展和谐社会生产力、促进社会安定有序等方面具有特殊的功能和举足轻重的作用。高校党组织要在构建和谐社会历史进程中发挥作用,就必须加强高校党建工作,加强大学生思想政治教育工作,建设和谐校园。

要充分发挥高校宣传思想工作对构建和谐校园的促进作用,首先就必须深入分析当前高校宣传思想工作面临的内外挑战和存在的主要问题,进而在此基础上适应和谐校园建设的需要,着力发挥高校宣传思想工作的思想引领功能、精神激励功能、舆论导向功能、道德教化功能、文化锻造功能,并在构建和谐校园过程中,进一步推动高校宣传思想工作的观念创新、内容创新、方法创新、机制创新。

教育公平是社会公平的基本体现之一。目前，我国教育不公平问题主要是制度安排引起的不公平，对构建和谐社会有着很大影响。因此，构建和谐社会必须消除教育不公平现象，主要应从改革教育投资制度，改革教育管理制度和建立弱势群体补偿制度入手。

本文以《嘉莉妹妹》的主人公嘉莉为实现自己的梦想而在城市中努力奋斗的经历和事迹为参照,同时结合当今中国社会女性的生存现状,尝试对二者在时代背景、文化传统、欲望追求以及自我意识等方面的极其相似之处进行比较与分析,提出两性关系和谐维系、共同发展的新思路,为中国女性发展的现状提供一个学理式的文本解读,也为新时期的女性研究提供一个可供参考的模式。     

构建和谐社会中的收入分配问题

当前我国社会收入分配问题的症结不是在于基尼系数所表达的分配结果不均,而是在于机会不平等的过程中产生的分配不公。能否处理好不同范畴的收入分配问题,特别是因滥用公共权力引起的社会分配不公,则关系到改革、发展、稳定的大局。社会需要通过改革有效调整已经形成的社会收入分配格局,使之能够朝着公平、正义的方向演变,这是构建和谐社会中亟待解决的关键问题之一。     

Economic convergence and life satisfaction in the European Union

The issue of convergence or divergence in the European Union (EU) is usually viewed from a macroeconomic perspective, using indicators such as the income per head, the unemployment rate and the inflation rate. Little attention has been paid to the possibility of an associated convergence in ‘well-being’ across countries. Since recent literature has shown that subjective well-being (life satisfaction, ‘happiness’) is significantly affected by macroeconomic variables, it is natural to ask not only whether or not subjective well-being converges, but also, whether, how and to what extent this process is linked to macroeconomic convergence. In this paper we use self-rated life satisfaction elicited in large scale surveys to address these questions. We find evidence of convergence of life satisfaction across the member states of the EU, which can be attributed to a considerable extent to the convergence in macroeconomic conditions. Among the various macroeconomic indicators, the convergence in inflation rates has played a major role for the convergence in life satisfaction.     

Friendships under strain: The work–personal life integration of middle managers

Middle managers in today's organisations have reported experiencing longer working hours and intensified work regimes. These increased pressures, in turn, have led to growing difficulty in addressing the integration of their work and personal lives. In an exploratory study of the daily workplace experiences of Australian middle managers and the impacts on their personal lives, one of the key themes to emerge was respondents’ concerns about the negative effects on their friendships. This paper discusses middle managers’ recognition of the value of friendships for their wellbeing, and the resultant anger and sadness reported at the strain on these relationships due to competing time demands. The significant role that friendships play in alleviating some of the stresses of work demands, while concurrently being impeded by these same demands, is an important issue for organisations to consider. These findings indicate the need for middle managers to truly have an ability to engage in activities – and friendships – which will aid them in their working lives. The study also indicates a need for further investigation into the development and maintenance of friendships for both middle managers and other groups of employees.     

构建和谐社会需要准确认识和把握舆情产生的影响因素、表现特征及其规律

和谐社会需要和谐舆情，而不和谐舆情不仅是社会问题的反映，还将直接影响或感染人们的思想情绪，对社会和谐产生负效应。因此，准确地认识和掌握舆情产生的一般规律、表现特征及其影响因素，是构建和谐社会的前提和基础。信息盲点容易产生舆情，发生严重事件往往会出现舆情，社会改革总是要伴随社会敏感问题而与舆情存在着对应关系，这种关系具有明显的从众性，是舆情广泛传播的重要条件。     

整合财政支农资金加大农村基础设施投入力度

由于历史原因和体制惯性,“三农”投入,特别是财政支农资金的投入存在许多问题,多头管理、分散使用、效率低下的现象十分突出。继续加大对“三农”尤其是农村基础设施的投入力度,推进财政支农资金整合,提高财政支农的政策效应和制度效应,对发展现代农业,建设社会主义新农村意义重大。
