《许三观卖血记》“前景化”直接引语的美学价值

《许三观卖血记》是一部主要由人物直接引语叙述修辞来展示的小说,大量直接引语的配备增强了文本的直接性、生动性和戏剧性,对塑造人物性格起到了很好作用。但文本中也存在许多有悖于相关准则的直接引语现象：从直接引语的结构来看,文本中存在少量直接引语的变异形式;从叙述的流利性来看。有的直接引语并不干净利落,显得相当笨拙;从人物对话原原本本的记录来看,有的直接引语不符合现场对话的叙述语境;从特殊的音响效果来看,有些直接引语与人物特定的心理状态不相吻合,等等。这些具有“前景化”特征的直接引语,对凸显文本主题具有重要的美学意义。     

《反对本本主义》的当代价值与中国梦的实现

《反对本本主义》反映了中国马克思主义者对待马克思主义的科学态度,揭示了马克思主义中国化的实质性内涵,初步反映出毛泽东思想的活的灵魂——实事求是、群众路线、独立自主思想的理论雏形。实事求是精神是实现中国梦的前提,坚持走群众路线是实现中国梦的核心,独立自主原则是实现中国梦的关键。在新的历史时期,挖掘《反对本本主义》的时代价值,有利于完善党的群众路线理论,凝聚中国力量,从实际出发,走自己的路,拓宽实现中国梦的中国道路。     

Family,Denomination, and the Adolescent World View: An Empirical Enquiry Among 13- to 15-Year-Old Girls in England and Wales

ABSTRACT

The present study draws on a large survey of 16,581 13- to 15-year-old girls representative of the school population in England and Wales to examine the power of family denominational affiliation to predict the adolescent world view. World view was illustrated by reference to nine areas: personal well-being, worries, counseling, school, social concern, religious beliefs, paranormal beliefs, sexual morality, and attitudes toward substances. Comparisons were made between those who claimed no religious affiliation and those who claimed affiliation as Anglicans, Roman Catholics, Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterians, Pentecostals, and Jehovah's Witnesses. The data demonstrated that each of these seven denominational groups offered a distinctive profile in areas of personal and social importance. These findings were interpreted as offering support for views advanced in Canada by Bibby, in Australia by Bouma, and in the United Kingdom by Fane regarding the continuing social significance of religious and denominational affiliation and as offering critique of the British Government's decision not to include denominational subdivision of the Christian category within the 2001 census conducted in England and Wales.     

Couples,Money, and Expectations: Negotiating Financial Management Roles to Increase Relationship Satisfaction

How couples handle money has become a popular subject among scholars, practitioners, and the popular press. However, little is known about how finances should be treated within a clinical context. This study examined the financial management roles in which couples participate and their satisfaction level with these roles as well as couples' communication tactics surrounding money and their impact on relationship and financial satisfaction. Results suggested that having shared goals and values about money were a stronger predictor of relationship satisfaction than were communication strategies. In addition, satisfaction with one's financial management role participation may be more important than self-reported financial management roles each partner performs. In this study, financial management roles included 19 areas, including responsibilities such as bookkeeping, financial decision-making, and taxes.     

Same-Sex Marriage and the Boundaries of Diversity: Will Marriage and Family Therapy Remain Inclusive of Religious and Social Conservatives?

The expanding legalization of same-sex marriage in the Western World may pose significant challenges for the relationship between many religious and socially conservative marriage and family therapists and their professional associations. In the present analysis, I look to the field of moral psychology, particularly Haidt's Moral Foundations Theory, to provide greater clarity regarding the nature of this tension and a resultant tightening of the boundaries of acceptable diversity that could ensue. I then outline some concerning indicators from mental health associations relative to their potential willingness to tolerate conservative perspectives in meaningful ways and identify some specific areas of possible tension for conservative therapists trying to integrate their deeply held moral values into ethical practice with same-sex couples, with a specific reference to the viability of “conscience clauses” and values-based referrals. I conclude with some recommendations through which the field of marriage and family therapy can reduce the potential for conflicts and thereby reassure these clinicians that they continue to be welcomed even if their vision of marriage differs from that which is formally endorsed by their professional associations.     

Chapter 5 Lonesome in the Saddle

Abstract

Older people create a sense of self through the decisions they make about their sense of place in the world. Through a series of ethnographic life-stories, drawn from the lives of retired people in an upstate New York community, consideration is given to the meanings that mature men and women attach: to leaving work; to choosing to stay in or leave the home or residence that they have been living in; and to weighing the options of remaining in or moving from their community. The meaningfulness of family, home, possessions, travel, community, and ties to the land, all emerge from these accounts. In negotiating these issues, people also have to deal with a number of conflicting American values, including the tensions between freedom and responsibility, autonomy and rootedness, and adventure and security. The classic American images of the “settler” and the “cowboy” help to convey some of these contradictions.     

论党员干部正确价值观的构建

党的十八大提出建党百年时建成小康社会,极其鼓舞人心。但怎么建成需要各方努力,其中党员干部树立正确价值观很重要。正如胡锦涛总书记所言党员、干部中不同程度地存在着政治信仰迷茫、理想信念模糊、价值取向扭曲等问题。党员、干部价值取向扭曲任其发展会给国家造成错失建成小康社会战略机遇期。形势“倒逼”我们必须消除党员、干部价值取向扭曲,践行社会主义核心价值体系。从当前党内存在的价值取向扭曲现实出发,可以找出产生价值取向扭曲的四维原因,从而摸索在建设学习型党组织过程中消除党员、干部不同程度价值取向扭曲的途径方法,实现带领人民建成小康社会期许。     

高职院校青年学生信仰现状分析与对策

通过对某高职院校青年教师与学生的调研,发现青年教师与学生的信仰主流是值得肯定的,但也存在着信仰的缺失、迷离和误解等问题。从社会实际、信息网络和高校教育三方面分析了问题的成因,并从加强理想信念引导、弘扬传统文化教育、推进主题教育、树立正能量作用等四方面提出了具体的对策建议。     

Testing citizen identities: Australian migrants and the Australian values debate

In this paper I explore how recent public debates about Australian values impact on the everyday lives of migrants preparing to become naturalised Australian citizens. Framed through the perspective of governmentality, I combine textual analyses of government documents relating to the Australian citizenship test with ethnographies of recently-arrived migrants in order to demonstrate how political practices related to the conferral of Australian citizenship link and interconnect with the production of migrant subjectivities. In this way, I explore what aspiring citizens think about Australian values and how they contest, accept and negotiate these demands on them to adopt the Australian way of life. The analysis suggests that migrants in this study presented multiple and complex ways of being model Australian citizens. They drew on popular national myths about Australianness promoted in citizenship test resources but they also produced alternative subjectivities that promoted identification with everyday multiculturalism as central to living a happy and prosperous life in Australia.     

Appalachian Women: A Study of Resiliency Assets and Cultural Values

ABSTRACT

There is scant literature addressing Appalachian women, their resiliency, and their cultural values. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to explore what constitutes resiliency for Appalachian women. The following research questions were explored: (a) Are Appalachian values reflected in Appalachian women's perceived resiliency during their school-age years, ages 5–18; and (b) if so, which Appalachian values emerged in these women's external and internal developmental assets? Ten Appalachian women were interviewed and asked to reflect on developmental assets during their school-age years. The study results indicated a relationship between developmental resiliency assets during youth as they corresponded with nine Appalachian values. The results indicate that Appalachian women's cultural values foster their strengths and resilience. This study supports the significance of practitioners acknowledging the importance of cultural values in counseling strategy. Implications and suggestions for future research are suggested
