BSW students' perceptions of key competencies,values, and practitioner skills Implications for social work education

Abstract

This study profiled undergraduate Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) students' self-reported skill levels and valuations of personal qualities, practitioner skills, values and ethics, scientific skills and key competencies germane to social work practice. Differential assessments of personal qualities, practitioner skills, values and ethics, and scientific skills as well as differential assessments of the importance of 14 key competencies challenge a pattern of social work education where an integration of theory and practice is made difficult by a linear sequence of theory, followed by applied theory, followed by practice.

大学生未婚同居现象的原因分析及对策建议

近年来，大学生未婚同居现象日益增多，引起了学校、社会、家庭、学生等各方面的广泛关注和争议。社会多元的价值观日益形成，对于婚前同居的规范环境无论从法律上还是从社会上都宽松了许多，人们都倾向于按照自己认可的方式去行事，婚前同居早已不是新闻，越来越多的此类现象“潜移默化”地影响着在校大学生。通过调查分析，大学生未婚同居问题有社会、高等学校、大学生自身等多方面的原因，并提出对大学生加强健康性教育，树立正确恋爱观和婚姻观；对待已发生的大学生同居问题宜“疏”不宜“堵”；尽早健全和完善高等教育行政规章制度。     

“情感态度和价值观”目标的落实策略

情感态度和价值观培养是课程改革的一个新理念。在“情感态度和价值观”目标的培养方面．大多数人认为“三维目标”应该相互整合．统一于课程教学中．不应该彼此分离。事实上，教学过程中并不是平均用力强调“三维目标”的．而是在不同时间、不同阶段、以不同方式强调其中之一维，通过其中之一维的强化而实现“三维目标”的整合与落实。要落实“情感态度和价值观”目标就要细化目标、多角度呈示目标资源、以学生为主体体验“内化”目标资源、“外化”教育目标。     

Changing ecological and cultural states and preferences of nature conservation policy: The case of nature values trade in South-Western Finland

We present a rural Finnish case of nature conservation called the nature values trade (NVT) as an example of the process of changing ecological and cultural states and preferences of environmental policy. We emphasise the importance of local ecological and cultural circumstances for the formulation of environmental policy. The study shows how regional actors in nature conservation and forestry were able to combine forest ownership and nature conservation through authentic dialogue, and overcome a nature conservation conflict, brought about by conflicting international biodiversity goals and the cultural preferences of landowners. Later, their ideas were included in the National Biodiversity Programme and implemented as a pilot project by regional actors, which in turn affected the ecological and cultural state of nature conservation. The NVT reflected international and large-scale trends in environmental policy, and opened new opportunities for further developing environmental policy.

新中国建立初期,大寨人为改变家乡贫困落后面貌苦干实干。在战天斗地中大寨不仅被中央立为中国农业战线上的一面旗帜,而且还孕育出了以自力更生、艰苦奋斗为核心的大寨精神。回顾、审视大寨精神,思过去,其曾激荡起中国人心中战胜困难的豪情。看今天,它仍然具有时代价值。其所蕴含的艰苦奋斗精神是我们实现"中国梦"的有力保障,自力更生是我们实现"中国梦"的重要基石。     

Contemporary Social Policy Analysis Methods: An Incorporation of Ethical Principals and Implementation Processes

This article focuses on how policy analysts address complex social issues and problems by organizing them into ethic-based analytic components and utilizing an array of quantitative and qualitative methods, including program outcome and impact evaluation, cost-benefit analysis, and assessments of local political influence on implementation process. Four articles generated by doctoral students under the guidance of their faculty instructor demonstrate how the strategies of connecting social ethical values in policy analysis enlighten the valuation of the policy process, its history, and outcomes.

Despite being caught between political censorship and market pressure, investigative journalism in China has exhibited persistent vibrancy over the last three decades. This report seeks to understand the driving force behind this phenomenon by exploring the demographic composition and the ways in which Chinese investigative reporters perceive their jobs. About 259 reporters from 73 media institutions in 18 provinces participated in this study. Compared to beat reporters, investigative reporters cherish the interpretive and populist mobilizing functions of the news media and belittle the entertainment and propaganda functions. The type and location of news organizations, rather than individual background factors, play dominant roles in shaping investigative reporters' professional values.

执政党在全球化背景下的核心价值理念

在全球化背景下,以马克思主义理想、中国文化传统和世界文明精神为主要内容,对中国执政党核心价值理念作出精炼概括与表述,关系到党的价值理念有效的大众传播与动员,关系到中国与世界的有效对话和交流,从马克思主义理想及中国社会主义文化、中国传统文化、西方文化三个文化发展脉络中梳理价值理念的精华与共性,可以得出和谐、人本、民主、法治为执政党核心价值理念。
