民主政治与用人机制

民主政治的发展显著表现为公民对政治的参与程度的提高 ,而公民的政治参与是靠一整套健全的制度来实现的。我国公民的政治参与度和透明度还比较低 ,根本问题在于参与机制还不够健全。克服弊端的根本途径在于进行政治体制改革 ,特别是干部人事制度的改革。通过改革 ,形成“公开、平等、竞争、择优”的用人机制。

Ambiguous Loss Research,Theory, and Practice: Reflections After 9/11

This article contains an overview of three decades of research, theory development, and clinical application about ambiguous loss. Although the work includes both physical and psychological types of ambiguous loss, the focus is the aftermath of 9/11 (September 11, 2001), when the World Trade Center collapsed following terrorist attacks. On the basis of her previous work, the author was asked to design an intervention for families of the missing. She reflects on what she learned from this unexpected test and presents new propositions and hypotheses to stimulate further research and theory that is more inclusive of diversity. She suggests that scholars should focus more on universal family experience. Ambiguous loss is just one example. Encouraging researchers and practitioners to collaborate in theory development, she concludes that research‐based theory is essential to inform interventions in unexpected times of terror, and in everyday life.

近代人物的结集和古代人物的结集有着明显的不同。政治家、思想家的文章每每在报刊上发表,有的未入"文集",有的又经过作者自己的修改、增删。由于它距今较近,亦有不少已散佚;特别是函札、日记等,必须要广事收集,而且还要注意撰著时间。

ABSTRACT

In this article we explore older persons’ definitions of and explanations for elder abuse in the Netherlands by means of interviews with older persons. A qualitative study was conducted based on semistructured interviews with 35 older persons who had no experience with abuse. Our findings show that older persons participating in our study define elder abuse foremost as physical violence that is performed intentionally. The study participants explain elder abuse as a result of the dependency and vulnerability of older persons, of changing norms and values, and of changes in the position of older persons in society, which result in disrespect toward older persons and a lack of social control and responsibility. The older persons’ explanations for the occurrence of abuse mainly focus on societal changes; older persons seem to regard elder abuse primarily as a societal problem. This understanding of, and explanation for, elder abuse may influence their detection and reporting behavior, as they may tend to acknowledge only severe cases of intentional physical violence that leave clear and therefore physically detectable evidence.
