面对东西部发展存在的巨大差距,西部地区必须全面提升发展质量,而这离不开作为地区发展“领头羊”的领导班子的引领和推动。现有文献对于领导干部群体特征以及配置结构进行了深入的归纳和探讨,但也有必要比较区域间领导干部整体水平的差异并分析其潜在原因,据此对症下药。比较东西部领导班子的群体特征,对于西部地区领导干部的培养、选拔有一定参考价值。论文运用高层梯队理论,采用分层抽样的方法,在广东省、天津市、陕西省、重庆市获得562名县级党政领导班子的履历信息,从人口统计学特征、教育背景、职业发展经历三个维度进行分析,对比研究东西部地区县级党政领导班子群体特征的共性和差异。本研究利用EXCEL对县级领导班子特征各个指标的变量进行统计分析,通过均值、标准差等数据展示变量的分布结构和特征;利用SPSS21.0对东西部县级领导班子的差异性特征进行分组,通过t检验、卡方检验等呈现数据间的差异性。研究表明,东西部党政领导班子在性别、民族、政治面貌、教育背景等方面呈现出相似的特征,但在籍贯来源、年龄、任职经历、晋升路径等方面呈现出显著差异,西部地区县级领导班子年龄分布呈现“两头多,中间少”、籍贯结构“本地多,外地少”、教育背景“偏人文,轻理工”、“任职经历单一,工作经验同质性高”、自下而上晋升比例更低等明显特征。针对分析结果,建议西部县级党政领导班子要着重加强领导班子协同效能建设、优化领导班子干部队伍结构、完善现代干部任用选拔机制,以及进一步强化领导干部的交流制度。 相似文献

Relevance has become a critical factor in business education programs. Such programs must deliver the skills and knowledge
that enable participants to learn and thrive in a context of change, growing business complexity and technological sophistication.
This paper explores the need to realign our teaching approach to the new demands of business managers in pursuit of maintaining
relevance. It considers the changes this requires in the learner: teacher relationship, and the way in which information communication
technologies have a powerful role to play in developing and managing this new relationship. A model is proposed to explore
the alternative teaching paradigms associated wich might be best described as seismic shifts in the learning landscape. For
educators it suggests a change in teaching values that emphasise stronger attention to process skills, less teacher autonomy,
direction and control, and a more creative use of technology to encourage diversity, dialogue and distributed team learning.

Call centers are an increasingly important part of today's business world, employing millions of agents across the globe and serving as a primary customer‐facing channel for firms in many different industries. Call centers have been a fertile area for operations management researchers in several domains, including forecasting, capacity planning, queueing, and personnel scheduling. In addition, as telecommunications and information technology have advanced over the past several years, the operational challenges faced by call center managers have become more complicated. Issues associated with human resources management, sales, and marketing have also become increasingly relevant to call center operations and associated academic research. In this paper, we provide a survey of the recent literature on call center operations management. Along with traditional research areas, we pay special attention to new management challenges that have been caused by emerging technologies, to behavioral issues associated with both call center agents and customers, and to the interface between call center operations and sales and marketing. We identify a handful of broad themes for future investigation while also pointing out several very specific research opportunities. 相似文献

This study explores the relationship between transformational leadership and volunteer firefighter engagement. Using responses from 213 volunteer firefighters, structural equation modeling reveals a positive relationship between transformational leadership and volunteer engagement, which is mediated by both group identification and perceived social impact. In addition, higher volunteer engagement is positively related to a firefighter's intention to continue volunteering and to recruit others. Taken together, the results indicate that transformational leaders achieve positive volunteer outcomes by strengthening the organizational ties of volunteers and by connecting volunteers with the prosocial impact of their work. Theoretical implications for transformational leadership research in volunteer settings as well as practical recommendations for a sustainable volunteer management are provided. 相似文献

Research has shown that male politicians are often stereotyped as stronger leaders than female politicians. This research, however, has taken a fairly narrow view of leadership. In the business organization literature, a leadership style called charismatic leadership is treated as a multidimensional concept, with feminine and masculine attributes. While scholarship has considered factors that shape perceptions of charisma, it has not looked at the effect of media presentations. This question became especially timely during the 2008 election. Using data from an experiment with voters in Los Angeles County, we show how media presentations impact the feminine and masculine components of Sarah Palin’s charisma. In our analysis, we show that media presentations that highlight stereotypically feminine traits increase perceptions of Palin’s feminine charisma, while those that highlight masculine traits have null effects on perceptions of Palin’s masculine charisma. Partisanship moderates these effects. Moreover, as one might expect, increased perceptions of Palin as a charismatic figure increase positive feelings toward her as a candidate. 相似文献
