解放思想是发展中国特色社会主义的一大法宝。解放思想与实事求是的统一，以及马克思主义指导与理论创新相统一，决定了解放思想所体现的客观性或科学性原则、创新性或先进性原则、人民性或党性原则等特征。解放思想本质上是一个如何付诸实践的问题。坚持解放思想，必须既注意排除“左”的干扰，又注意排除右的干扰。

The magic of mundane objects: culture,identity and power in a country vets' practice

This article explores and extends the idea that material objects lie at the heart of many of our social, and specifically workplace, interactions. The site of exploration is an ethnography of a British farm animal veterinary surgery. Drawing upon traditional cultural studies approaches alongside contemporary sociological understandings about the place of materials in social life, the article analyses how objects function to track and structure the ways that people of different professional status experience work at a veterinary surgery. It is argued that the power of the veterinary elite in this setting is best understood by paying close attention to ‘mundane’ artefacts. The article argues that such objects, having almost no meaning on their own, can become potent cultural symbols if actors have the necessary social capital to ‘transform’ them. Here, Latimer's concept of ‘strong moves’ (2004) is extended to consider how the reinterpretation of objects might constitute a form of ‘cultural magic’. This article seeks to uncover some of the practical scenarios in which such ‘magical’ transformations play out and describes, through a series of tales from the field (Van Maanen, 1985), the ways in which vets control and regulate their interactions with those outside the professional elite.     

Working the ‘spaces’ between policy and practice: the contributions offered by resilience theory and action research

The policy‐practice dimension often presents challenges particularly in the policy arena of child well‐being. Policy designers identify risk factors and design programmes intended to develop protective factors in areas of need. The 2004 Australian Communities for Children (CfC) initiative aimed to improve the social, health and educational outcomes for young children living in socio‐economically disadvantaged localities. Its method was to engage local community members to contribute towards developing protective factors. Rather than considering this national–local arrangement, an unworkable alliance, we examine the performance of CfC through three examples and demonstrate how resilience theory and action research can assist this programme achieve its social inclusion aims and well‐being outcomes. We choose not to disregard policy programmes like CfC, rather we emphasize the possibilities offered when working these complex spaces involving multiple and inherent contradictions. The spaces that often exist between the policy and its implementation are rethought to allow a greater opportunity for the growth of innovation and change.

弗雷泽的社会观探析——评《<旧约>中的民间传说》

弗雷泽的《旧约》研究对人类学的重要意义一直没有得到充分的挖掘.通过梳理《〈旧约〉中的民间传说》一书中弗雷泽对希伯来社会形态演变史的关注,结合《金枝》这本书,本文意在指出弗雷泽的研究中所蕴含的社会观.在弗雷泽的研究中,以古罗马为代表的神圣王权是一种重要的古代社会形态,但并不是唯一的形式,希伯来社会呈现了人类社会形态的另一种可能.在不同社会形态的比较当中,我们还可以体味到弗雷泽心中的理想社会的特征.     

从甲骨文看商代的自然灾害及救治

商代自然灾害的种类很多,水、旱为主的灾害频繁发生,并且引起自然环境的恶化。殷人心目中导致灾害发生的因素有天帝神祗降祸、祖先降灾、鬼神示警三方面。面对灾害,殷人更多的是采取巫术救荒的办法,当然也采取了一些实际有效的救灾措施。
