马克思主义边缘化对大学生价值观的消极影响

在中国社会转型过程中，作为主流意识形态的马克思主义面临着主导地位被动摇、影响范围被削减、指导作用被削弱的边缘化境况。本文从认识的角度，通过认识的主体、客体和中介系统三方面比较系统的分析，探讨了边缘化的原因，指出马克思主义边缘化对当代大学生价值观塑造的消极影响。     

流散与文化认同——《奥斯卡·瓦奥短暂而奇妙的一生》评析

多米尼加裔美国作家朱诺·迪亚斯的小说《奥斯卡·瓦奥短暂而奇妙的一生》以多米尼加共和国遭受的殖民侵略与独裁统治为背景,描写了多米尼加流散群体受到的历史与现实的创伤。小说中过去与现在交替、人物的"缺失"与"再现"并存,不仅重塑了多米尼加共和国历史以及奥斯卡家族历史,还展现了流散者在美国遭遇的文化冲突与边缘化境遇。种族、阶级与文化差异以及无法逾越的他者身份造成流散者的文化归属与认同陷入困境,而多元的文化背景使杂交性的文化认同成为渴望寻找自己文化定位的流散者的一种生存选择。     

How to Teach by the Unit Method

Using data from the National Center for Educational Statistics research spanning fifteen years, researchers examined the impact of national educational policy implementation on the role of social studies in elementary schools. Specifically, with the reauthorization of No Child Left Behind (NCLB) in 2007 and the continuation of federal-mandated testing of English language arts (ELA) and mathematics in grades three through five, researchers sought to understand how policy decisions to extend testing to science affected teacher decisions in regard to instructional time allocations for core subject areas of ELA, mathematics, science, and social studies in elementary schools. Results of this quantitative study offer large-scale evidence of the declining role of social studies in an era in which testing is clearly linked to subject-area importance. Findings provide an overview of the national scope of testing and the ramifications for social studies in elementary schools. Researchers conclude that curriculum standardization, accountability, and high-stakes testing have had adverse affects on social studies time allotments in comparison to tested subjects.     

论汪曾祺小说的叙事美学的边缘化

汪曾祺所追求的超功利的率性自然的美学思想在启蒙与救亡的双重变奏的现代文学中注定是一个边缘性的存在。即使进入新时期,政治与文学的蜜月期也让以天下为己任关心民瘼的作家以牺牲文学的启蒙的审美一维而获得了启蒙的文学的功利性的轰动效应,但他的秉性气质、生活阅历都决定了他的超功利性的审美叙事风格与主流文坛的格格不入。到了文学与政治分离回归文学本体的九十年代,失去了对文学的敬畏和职业操守的新新作家在与钱共舞的欲望泥淖中将文学打扮成码字儿的职业,嗜短篇小说如命而且宣称自己只会写短篇小说不知长篇小说为何物的汪曾祺也只能在众声喧哗、多元共存的无名时代处于边缘的边缘的位置了,这种边缘化的叙事美学风格在叙事题材的边缘化、叙事观念的边缘化、叙事风格的边缘化等方面得到了鲜明的体现。

随着社会的发展和文化的多元化,茅盾文学奖自成立之初的众望所归已渐渐沦落到大众不识"庐山真面目"的地步,而它的变迁也同时映射了时代巨变带来文学处境的变化。     

论“信息断裂”与弱势群体的边缘化（上）

以"信息断裂"与弱势群体的边缘化为研究对象,采用社会学的研究方法,揭示出在我国以大众传播为核心的社会性信息传播活动中,弱势群体由于得不到应有的信息传播资源和条件,丧失了在社会发展中的基本话语权,因而同社会主流阶层之间形成了明显的"信息断裂".分析认为,弱势群体因此遭遇不同形式的社会排斥,在社会发展的大小问题上缺乏甚至完全没有他们的声音,因而他们被不断地边缘化,成为引发社会不稳定的一个不可忽视的因素.在此基础上,提出"信息断裂"与弱势群体的边缘化是社会发展难以回避的问题,应当得到足够的重视.     

Pooling operators with the marginalization property

In this paper, we consider the problem of combining a number of opinions which have been expressed as probability measures P₁, …, P_n, over some space. It is shown that a pooling formula which has the marginalization property of McConway (1981) must be of the form T = Σⁿ_i=₁W_i P_i + (1 - Σⁿ_i =₁W_i)Q, where Q is an arbitrary measure and W₁, …, W_n ϵ [—1,1] are weights such that| Σ_J Σ _j w_j | ≤ 1 for every subset J of {1, …, n}. If, in addition, T is required to preserve the independence of arbitrary events A and B whenever these events are independent under each P_i, then either T = P_i for some 1 ≤ i ≤ n or T = Q, in which case Q takes values in {0, l}.     

Trends among social assistance recipients in Sweden since 1945

The proportion of the Swedish population that receives means-tested social assistance has not decreased since 1945. This has been cited as a surprising research finding, since there has been a general increase in the standard of living and in income equality during the same period. The income of assistance recipients is no lower than for a substantial minority of the non-recipient population. This analysis shows that assistance recipients differ from others with low incomes in that they have less wealth and more problems concerning welfare or standard of living. It is shown that groups that traditionally have had an overrepresentation of assistance recipients have generally increased in size since 1945. Even though supply-side hypotheses cannot be ruled out as explanations for the non-decrease of social assistance, evidence indicates the persistence of people in need of assistance due to their marginal economic position in the Swedish welfare state.     

Sociolinguistics and modes of social class signalling: African perspectives

The paper evaluates spatial, behavioural, and material signalling of social class in African contexts, focusing on Kenya and Zambia. In particular, it draws on notions of mode of class signalling and intersectionality and a vignette of an interaction between urban‐based Western educated development agents and local participants in rural Kenya to illustrate how social class is implicated in interactions. The paper shows how significant features of class and dimensions of social inequality may be perceived intersectionally so that positionalities in class structures are negotiated in contexts of interaction, thus illustrating how structural conditions of class may be challenged and questioned. The paper concludes that sociolinguistics needs to identify the various ways in which the marginalized challenge social structures of inequality. Otherwise there is a risk that sociolinguistics will work to validate inequalities as permanent and fixed, and victims of unequal treatment as permanently condemned and never able to rise against oppressive social structures that tyrannize them.     

Feelings of Belonging: An Exploratory Analysis of the Sociopolitical Involvement of Black,Latina, and Asian/Pacific Islander Sexual Minority Women

This article compares and contrasts the sociopolitical involvement of Black, Latina, and Asian/Pacific Islander American sexual minority women within lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) communities of color. For the analysis, a sample of over 1,200 women from the Social Justice Sexuality project was analyzed. Findings indicate that, for all groups of women, feelings of connectedness to the LGBT community was the most significant predictor of sociopolitical involvement within LGBT communities of color.
