网络文化发展困境与柔性管理

网络文化的崛起是新世纪人类文化发展的最重要现象。它的诞生给传统的社会发展和进步带来了诸多挑战。由于互联网及其网络文化的特殊性,传统的政府管理方式陷入两难选择。本文运用博弈论的原理揭示了网络文化的本质和发展规律,指出柔性管理是走出网络文化管理困境的必然选择。     

Everyday tragedy and creation: Translated from the French by Karen Isabel Ocaña

In this essay, Michel Maffesoli exalts the poetry of the everyday, and a way of being that, paradoxically, opens one up to life through rituals that smack of a quest for divine nothingness. ‘Everyday Tragedy and Creation’ traces a series of connections: between Benjamin’s particular form of empirical mysticism and the notion of messianic time, the vitalism of Nietzsche (and tangentially his rediscovery of the Greek notion of tragedy and destiny), that of Bergson with his concept of duration, as well as the sociological hermeneutics of Dilthey. In the course of his discussion, Maffesoli invokes Verlaine, Rimbaud, street theatre and Eliot, and proposes a Zen-like approach to everyday happiness. More generally, Maffesoli rejects the temporality of modernism and drama and celebrates instead the ‘non-time’ of the tragedy of living in the present within a medium of communal images and practices.     

RACIALIZING CULTURE IS ORDINARY1

This article engages a discussion of Raymond Williams claim that culture is ordinary to explore some of the ways in which racializing culture is embedded in everyday interactions and processes of identification that found subjectivity. It argues that there is a pressing need for social policy analysts to come to grips with the mechanisms through which ‘culture’ comes to be racialized and an object/subject of governance and suggests that current, high-profile articulations of the ‘problems’ of multiculturalism, profoundly hinder such a development.     

Pills,Periods, and Postfeminism

Since the English translation of Elsimar Coutinho's Is Menstruation Obsolete? in 1999 and the introduction of cycle-stopping birth control pills in 2003, US women are increasingly advised that menstruation is not necessary for good health. The most widely distributed source of such messages is direct-to-consumer advertisements for birth control pills. The most recent television ads for Seasonique, the leading brand of cycle-stopping contraceptive in the US, minimize the pill's contraceptive function and focus instead on their effectiveness in reducing the frequency of menstruation. A close reading of these commercials reveals them to be an integral part of an emerging postfeminist media culture that attempts to solidify a new, neoliberal subjectivity for women. This subjectivity imposes an idealized, docile, non-menstruating feminine body, ready for full-time participation in the neoliberal economy.     

“Last Night,I Did a Striptease for My Husband”

Representations in popular media at the end of the twentieth century and the beginning of the twenty-first suggest that North American culture idealizes a kind of femininity constituted in erotic display while at the same time disavowing the parallel performance of that femininity in strip culture. This paper begins to consider why femininity is so insistently constituted on these terms, focusing in particular on women's advice media, self-help, and exercise programs of erotic dance as a domestic activity, and working to identify and understand the implications of that representation, for women who work as erotic dancers and for women who do not, with reference to the ways in which these two categories of femininity are constituted and maintained as separate categories through representation and to the effects of this separation for the labour of erotic dance and for the performance of femininity in the everyday. This paper undertakes to understand this complicated relationship and to determine what precisely is at stake in such representations, how to read them, and what they mean.

Sustainable business – Leading yourself and business into the future

Abstract

In the industrial era the development and use of the term ‘economic efficiency’ was too narrow. The exclusive one-sided focus on financial success led to consequences with yet unforeseeable risks and dangers. We must radically redefine economic efficiency if we want to foster well-known and needed sustainable living conditions on earth. To act in an economical fashion must imply value creation for the company, the environment and society. The evaluation of economic success must take all three criteria of value into account equally. To achieve such sustainable win-win-win situations, the full utilization of employee and business partner potential is required. Only an evolving culture of cooperation at all levels will ensure best solutions for developing and maintaining a healthy life base, leading away from the paradigm of absolute competition. Ways and means to reach these objectives are presented: old wisdom is combined with modern management control systems and the consequent change in evaluating the success of management.     

历史、文化与中国的海军外交

海军外交指使用有限的海军力量服务于国家对外政策的行为,是各大强国武力使用的重要方式。然而中国有关军事力量和海军力量的传统文化不同于欧洲,重视非武力手段,轻视海军,并且在动用武力时要求更高的道德合法性。经过长期受侵害的近代史影响,中国改变了轻视海军的文化,但仍然坚持以道德合法性作为动用武力的前提,因而表现出与其它大国不同的行为。     

基于生态文明观的中西消费文化比较与建设启示

生态文明关系到人类社会发展与资源环境的可持续发展,也是近年国家政策和攸关民生的焦点。从生态文明观的视角来分析中西消费文化的不同,目的就是要通过分析中西方消费思想的保守性和开放性、消费情智的感性与理性、消费对象的物质性与精神性和消费理念的对立性与统一性的区别,对我国的消费文化提出落实顶层设计、加强政府监管、重构企业文化、加强公众生态教育等方面的建设性意见。     

国际贸易运输法强制性体制“内在逻辑体系”的合理性

从某种意义上看,强制性体制是国际贸易运输法特别是海上货物运输法的核心和特质。在＂海商法文化＂的维度下,基于对国际贸易运输法强制性体制价值论的＂内在逻辑体系＂和运输法体系的自足性分析,运输法强制性的＂二维价值结构＂的提出具有合理性。而在＂内在逻辑体系＂范畴上,特殊主义的强制性体制价值论,特别是＂内在逻辑体系＂意义上的运输法强制性体制,在诠释运输法某些制度的应然性、理解海上运输法的自足体系以及预示运输法发展趋向等方面具有一定的功用。
