旧话重提:系统科学和哲学的关系

使系统范畴跻身哲学范畴行列的要求无非意味着两条道路 :使系统科学哲学化或使哲学系统科学化。前者意味着要使作为科学发展阶段性成果的系统科学超越其实证性和历史性 ,担负起理念性的终极关怀的哲学使命 ,这无疑要使它放弃自己的科学性。后者则意味着要使哲学深入到科学经验领域 ,以客观对象为本位 ,担负起对实证材料进行归纳概括这一原本属于科学研究的责任 ,从而放弃自己以人为本位的超越性思考的使命。这两条道路对科学和哲学来说 ,都是不祥的     

毛泽东对辩证法规律理论的创新

创立独具中国特色的辩证法规律理论 ,是毛泽东对马克思主义哲学的创新。毛泽东系统发挥了列宁关于以矛盾为核心的辩证法理论纲要 ,在吸取 2 0世纪 30年代中国和前苏联哲学家理论研究成果的基础上 ,以特有的中华民族风格和气派 ,科学建构了完备的对立统一理论形态。毛泽东以马克思主义普遍原理与中国革命建设相结合的实践经验为依据 ,凝炼概括了唯物辩证法的新规律 :内外因相互作用规律、新陈代谢规律、波浪式发展规律 ,丰富了开放的辩证法规律系统     

台湾公司法与内地公司法之比较研究

中国内地公司法和台湾公司法在很大程度上参考吸收了大陆法系国家公司法 ,两者无论是在结构上 ,还是在具体内容上 ,都有许多相同或相似之处 ,但由于各自的市场经济发育程度和企业发展现状的不同 ,两地的公司立法在公司的种类、设立、资本、机关以及关系企业的规定方面都存在着较大的差异     

Origins of linguistic zonation in the Australian Alps. part 1 - Huygens' principle

The hitherto poorly recorded boundaries of extinct traditional south-east-Australian Aboriginal languages can now be redetermined with greatly improved precision using an entropy-maximizing phonetic-signature calculated from existing data sources, including old word-lists and census forms, that have, until now, largely been considered informationally worthless. Having thus determined traditional Aboriginal language zones to a previously unimaginable degree of geographical precision, it is argued that these boundaries should not be viewed merely as a static 'snapshot' but, instead, as the end-product of a knowable dynamic process (Gillieron wave propagation) governed by well-known physical rules (such as Huygens' principle and Snell's Law) and operating over 'deep' time-scales more familiar to the archaeologist than the linguist. Although this initial study is limited to south-eastern Australia, the new methodology provides the first real hope of obtaining a detailed understanding of language dispersal throughout the entire continent over the past 60,000 years.

Modified goodness-of-fit test for the laplace distribution

In this paper critical values of the Anderson-Darling and Cra[macute]er-von Mises are given for the Laplace distribution for maximum likelihood estimation of the location and scale parameters. The power of these tests is investigated for a number of alternative distributions. The Anderson-Darling test yields higher power generally than the Cra[macute]er-von Mises test.

Why the personal remained political: comparing second and third wave perspectives on everyday feminism

Everyday feminist practices are located in the personal lives of feminists, therefore, third wave feminists frequently use the slogan the personal is political to emphasise the political value of such practices. Often, second wave feminists do not agree with this interpretation of the famous feminist catchphrase, which initially meant to call for collective political responses to personal experiences of gender inequalities. This article investigates this dispute that is symbolic of the broader relationship between second and third wave feminism. It compares both perspectives on everyday feminism by relating arguments for and against the political value of everyday feminism to empirical findings of a qualitative study. Based on 40 interviews with second and third wave feminists in New Zealand, I argue that the dispute is based on a number of misunderstandings between the opposing perspectives. Disentangling those misunderstandings, I conclude that although everyday feminism as a manifestation of ‘the personal’ works towards ‘small’ political aims, it is a political practice.
