Negative Religious Rhetoric in the Lives of Black Cisgender Queer Emerging Adult Men: A Qualitative Analysis

Given the intersection of racial, religious, and sexual identities for Black queer populations, the current study examines sexuality-related religious rhetoric. Twenty Black cisgender queer men were recruited to participate in a qualitative interview. Using thematic analysis, the research team identified four themes: negative religious rhetoric, personal consequences of negative religious rhetoric, social consequences of negative religious rhetoric, and growth from negative religious rhetoric. Participants explained the pervasiveness of negative religious rhetoric within their churches and family structures. Men also conveyed how negative religious rhetoric frames societal ideologies around same-sex behavior, often condoning violence toward queer populations. Although men had negative experiences, participants articulated the importance of using oppression as a platform for growth. Black cisgender queer men are present within religious institutions; however, such negative religious rhetoric may negatively affect their mental and physical health. Researchers, clinicians, and clergy should consider the ways negative religious rhetoric marginalizes queer populations.     

An approximation to the convolution of gamma distributions

In general, the exact distribution of a convolution of independent gamma random variables is quite complicated and does not admit a closed form. Annals of the Institute of Statistical Mathematics 37Part A:541–544. [Google Scholar]) is relatively simple to implement but for particular combinations of scale and/or shape parameters the computation of the weights of the series can result in complications with too much time consuming to allow a large-scale application. Recently, a compact random parameter representation of the convolution has been proposed by Vellaisamy and Upadhye (2009 Vellaisamy, P., Upadhye, N. S. (2009). On the sums of compound negative binomial and gamma random variables. Journal of Applied Probability 46:272–283.[Crossref], [Web of Science ®] , [Google Scholar]) and it allows to give an exact interpretation to the weights of the series. They describe an infinite discrete probability distribution. This result suggested to approximate Moschopoulos’s expression looking for an approximating theoretical discrete distribution for the weights of the series. More precisely, we propose a general negative binomial distribution. The result is an “excellent” approximation, fast and simple to implement for any parameter combination.

“是……的”句型日译汉的偏误分析

据实际语料考察,日本留学生在日译汉过程中使用“是……的”句型的出错率较高。留学生误译语句中有的没有使用“是……的”句型,有的虽然使用了“是……的”句型,但语序等方面存在问题。在分析偏误产生的原因的基础上,通过朗读等语感训练方式,可以提高“是……的”句型使用的正确率。

行政诉讼调解制度对当下中国的行政诉讼法发展有着不可忽视的消极作用,它将行政诉讼的目的定位为解决纠纷,淡化了行政诉讼保护相对人合法权益的目的,妨碍了行政诉讼独特的宪政功能的发挥,并导致了行政法规则在诉讼中的模糊化,使行政诉讼所承担的对行政法的告示、指引、预测、教育等作用无从发挥,行政违法的责任也随之淡化。而学界肯定行政诉讼调解制度的理由如行政裁量权的存在、中国无讼厌讼传统、外国存在相关制度等,均无法成立。由此,中国在当下不应建立行政诉讼调解制度。

伴随智能手机的逐渐普及,手机游戏产业日益成为数字娱乐文化产业中的主力军。由于国内手机游戏用户数量大、年龄低的特点,以及智能手机使手机游戏呈现出游戏载体智能化、游戏软件多样化、厂商利益链条化、政府监管复杂化等新特点,手机游戏产业存在游戏软件安全性、合法性以及游戏内容健康性等社会负面问题。为使手机游戏产业健康发展,制作商应把效益与文化建设相融合;用户提高安全意识,家长转变对游戏的态度,重视但不过分夸大游戏的负面效应;政府制定游戏分级制度、加大对公益类、教育类游戏软件开发的支持、保护手机游戏软件知识产权,争取把手机游戏产业打造成文化产业链中新的“金蛋”。     

负面清单制度的国际经验及其对上海自贸区的启示

负面清单作为上海自贸区改革一大亮点,体现了我国开始着手建立高标准的投资规则。国外的负面清单制度已发展得较为成熟,无论是多边协定NAFTA,或是各双边协定,其负面清单模式都可为上海自贸区的建设提供经验和启示。在上海自贸区负面清单模式推行中,应对重点行业实施重点保护,将负面清单制度化,使经济开放与经济安全相平衡,使宏观经济管理与微观经济自由相平衡,使立法与司法制度相结合。
