“Talking Back”: The poetry of Suheir Hammad

This paper examines how Suheir Hammad's poetry “talks back” (bell hooks) to dominant gendered discourses. My central argument is that Hammad's influential poetry is constitutive of a discourse of resistance. This paper posits resistance as being counter-hegemonic. It demonstrates how these representations signify a re-articulation of identity and a call for a redistribution of symbolic power. On the basis of a textual analysis of Hammad's poetry, supplemented with an individual interview with the artist involved, some discursive tactics emerge as interventions. From articulating her reactions to the September 11 attacks to her more recent mediated involvement with the uprisings commonly referred to as the “Arab Spring,” such interventions are always subjected to co-optation. Nonetheless, they propelled her into the public sphere, thereby affording opportunities to present creative works that point to stronger possibilities for Middle Eastern womanhood.     

Safety and health at work as fundamental rights: A comparative-historical study of the ILO's strategy of realistic vigilance

This article is a comparative-historical study of ILO action on occupational safety and health (OSH) as fundamental rights. In the two decades following the adoption of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the ILO used a realist lens and prioritized the idea that OSH were dependent upon economic preconditions for their protection. This history is revisited in the light of the new complex of global health uncertainty and the addition of OSH to the framework of fundamental principles and rights at work. The analysis highlights the applicability of a realistic vigilance approach to the ILO's current work on OSH.     

大学生运动员择业效能感研究

采用文献资料法、问卷调查法和数理统计法,对大学生运动员的择业效能感进行研究.结果表明,大学生运动员择业效能感的整体水平不高（95.27±12.13）;大学生运动员择业效能感存在显著的性别差异（P＜0.05）,男生高于女生;大学生运动员择业效能感的生源差异显著（P＜0.05）,城市生源学生高于农村生源学生;大学生运动员择业效能感的项目差异显著（P＜0.05）,个人项目运动员高于集体项目运动员;不同年级大学生运动员的择业效能感呈高—低—高—低的发展趋势.     

影响博士毕业生学术职业取向的因素分析

根据一项应届博士毕业生的问卷调查数据,对我国博士从事学术研究工作的职业取向及其影响因素进行定量分析,结果发现博士的性别、学术兴趣和家庭背景等因素对其学术职业取向具有显著影响,女性、学术兴趣更强和家庭出身地位较低的博士更愿意从事学术研究工作。最后文章在数据分析的基础上,提出了如何促进更多的优秀人才投身学术科研事业的政策建议。     

男幼师职业承诺形成机制研究

"职业承诺是衡量男幼师职业稳定性的重要指标，对解决当前男幼师职业缺位、社会偏见、自我认同具有重要的意义。通 过对8 位在职男幼师进行深度访谈，借助Nvivo12 工具，采用扎根理论研究方法，发现男幼师职业承诺的动因：情感体验、社会 支持与教育情怀。主要建议采取“内外联动，情怀浸润”措施，不断推动个体积极心理构成与外部社会因素的有机结合，融师德 建设于日常工作中，浸润铸魂，有效促进男幼师职业承诺形成。"     

职业流动问题与综合技术教育思想——兼论职业教育改革

职业流动对人们的社会生活已经产生了极大的影响。如何让未来的社会成员面临可能出现的职业变动 ,适应多种社会职业的要求 ,这是我国职业教育改革必须关注的问题。马克思曾就资本主义大工业发展和个人全面发展问题提出的综合技术教育思想 ,不仅具有历史意义 ,也具有现实意义。因此 ,我国的职业教育改革不应强化单一的职业训练 ,而应研究和实施综合技术教育 ,为未来的社会成员适应职业流动的趋势奠定基础
