Changes in conjugal life in Canada: Is cohabitation progressively replacing marriage?

This article aims first to contrast the trends of marriage and cohabitation across different regions in Canada, and second, to assess whether cohabitation constitutes a new stage in the progression to marriage, or an alternative to marriage altogether. Based on various empirical demographic indicators, the analysis shows profound differences across the country. In Quebec, cohabiting unions are now widely accepted as forming the basis for family life, whereas they still largely constitute a childless prelude to marriage elsewhere in Canada. The authors discuss the role of different religious and cultural backgrounds, and of recent changes in the relationships between men and women, in accounting for the divergent evolution observed.

本文以上海、苏州银行业为例,实证性地探讨中国企业营销活动中私人关系对业务关系质量的影响,研究结果发现:第一,营销人员与客户有关人员私人关系状态与客户满意度并不存在显著的相关关系,而关系意愿对客户满意度有显著的正向影响;第二,营销人员与客户有关人员私人关系越好,企业与客户间的信任度越高;第三,营销人员与客户有关人员私人关系越好,组织间的承诺度越高。最后探讨了结果的应用。     

论我国传统盐业合伙债务清偿的特点

盐业契约是指有关盐井开凿以及盐业生产、经营、管理等契约规范的总称,这些规范在中国契约法律制度和盐业文化体系中占有十分重要的地位。盐业合伙契约作为一种独具我国民族特色的资本组织形式,其债务清偿具有许多不同于一般合伙债务清偿的特点,从合伙债务清偿的常见类型出发,分析“井债井还”这种盐业合伙债务清偿的独特模式,对于理解合伙债务清偿制度分类的科学性及多样性,完善我国民商事法律制度具有重要意义。     

Family participation in child protection practice: an observational study of family group meetings

Over the past two decades, child protection authorities internationally have begun to implement models of family participation in child protection decision‐making. Debate exists about the extent to which these models promote family involvement in decision‐making. While a significant body of research on family and professional experience and perceptions of models of family participation in decision‐making has emerged, there has been little observational research of these approaches. In this paper, we report on observational data from 11 family group meetings (FGMs) in a child protection context in Queensland, Australia. Under Queensland child protection law, these meetings are referred to as an inclusive process for child protection decision‐making and planning. We draw on observational data to analyse how family inclusion in child protection decision‐making is facilitated, or limited, by the FGM process. We consider tensions in the realization of a participatory ethos in child protection services systems and discuss what practitioners can practically do to enhance family participation in child protection decision‐making.     

A Collaborative Student Affairs and Faculty Health Assessment and Intervention Initiative

Abstract

The authors describe a collaborative partnership forged between faculty and student affairs staff to improve student health at a large urban university. They examine skills and reward structures of each constituency and the stages of the collaboration in the context of 2 theoretical models. A comprehensive data collection and dissemination process in the campus community provided goals for the initial stage of the partnership, leading to implementation of campus initiatives that use the reciprocal skills of each stakeholder. Outcomes of the collaboration included (1) a working relationship between faculty and student affairs staff, (2) increased dialogue with high-level administrators, (3) more coordinated campus efforts to decrease high-risk drinking, (4) use of outcome measures for implementing and evaluating health programs, and (5) an opportunity for interdisciplinary research. The authors offer suggestions for implementing the process on other campuses.

对我国采取有限合伙创业投资的质疑

美国采用有限合伙制是因为其有限合伙机构不需缴纳所得税,创业资本主要来源于享有免税资格的机构投资者,有大批合格的创业投资家,且社会鼓励冒险、创新。我国目前不能盲目效仿美国采用有限合伙制发展创业投资,而应根据经济、法律和社会文化环境等国情,采用股份有限公司制创业投资机构。
