Earth Vikalp Sangam: proposal for a Global Tapestry of Alternatives*

ABSTRACT

Globally there is a visible counter-trend to the destructive process of ‘development’ that the forces of capitalism, statism, patriarchy have imposed. Though still marginal and not yet able to make significant macro-level transformations, the resistance is growing. As is, often emerging from such resistance, there is a re-assertion of ways of life that respect, nature (including humans), co-existence, and justice. Such radical alternatives can be from ancient cultures, or be very new, but all have a core of ethical values that put life at the centre. One crucial barrier to these becoming a force for macro-level change is that they remain scattered, only sporadically learning from each other and becoming a greater critical mass. With this background, a Global Tapestry of Alternatives has been initiated in mid-2019, a kind of confluence of ideas and practices towards further collaboration and visioning. The idea has emerged from the Vikalp Sangam (Alternatives Confluence) process running since 2014 in India.     

《蝴蝶君》的女性主义解读

黄哲伦的《蝴蝶君》讲述了一个中国男性化装成女性,骗取法国外交官情报的故事。运用女性主义批评理论分析剧本中所反映的父权制思想,可以揭示出现代文学中存在的男尊女卑思想。     

冲破男权樊篱的中美“娜拉“——《伤逝》与《觉醒》中女性形象之比较

19世纪末20世纪初美国女作家凯特.肖班的《觉醒》和中国著名作家鲁迅的《伤逝》深刻地反映了当时女性寻求个性解放和自由的思想。本文通过对两部作品中女主人公冲破男权社会的束缚,从觉醒到幻灭的悲剧命运的比较与剖析,展示了中美两国妇女解放运动发展状况的异同。     

“他者”的生存逆境和自我独立——从隐性人物分析《玻璃动物园》女性的命运

作为《玻璃动物园》中“第五个人物”，“隐性父亲”代表的是隐性的父权中心。通过分析剧中隐性父亲的普遍存在和阿曼达建构父权中心的徒劳努力，研究父权中心与女性自我意识的密切关系，揭示该剧的引申社会意义，即女性只能通过解放思想获得独立，依赖父权中心将最终走向悲剧。     

父权制政府的想象——对陕西省汉中市农民上访态度的实证分析

基于陕西省汉中市农村的抽样调查数据,采用有序Logistic回归分析模型,考察了影响普通公民上访倾向的政治文化因素。重点关注政治文化中一个相对狭窄但却适合中国语境的领域——普通公民对理想政府的一般性期望,用"父权制政府的想象"来概括普通中国人的理想政府观念,指出这种想象是中国人采用上访这种中国式维权抗争方式的很重要的原因。回归分析模型验证了本文"父权制政府的想象"中关于政府功能的三条假设,表明那些受"父权制政府的想象"影响越深的人,越可能具有上访倾向。     

伊莎贝拉的困境——《一报还一报》中的性别对立

从女性主义角度出发,分析了莎剧《一报还一报》中女主角伊莎贝拉所处的困境,指出剧中存在着显性与隐性两个层面的性别对立,女性在其中都处于弱势地位。伊莎贝拉在与安哲罗的斗争中表现出的智慧勇敢在公爵面前便黯然失色,这现实地反映了男权社会中的妇女地位。     

20世纪美国女性作家的生态关怀

以20世纪美国著名生态女性作家的作品为依据,探析20世纪美国生态女性主义观,揭示父权制对女性和自然的双重压迫及女性与自然的密切关系,以求建立男性与女性,人类与自然间的和谐平等关系。     

Incomplete Resistance

The purpose of this essay is to examine the contradictions between narrative and filmic technique that result in conflicting messages in Karim Aïnouz's film O Céu de Suely. Although the film demonstrates the hardship and isolation that drive its northeastern Brazilian protagonist to raffle herself in order to buy a bus ticket out of town, it simultaneously sensualizes and encourages the audience to take pleasure in the female body by displaying it erotically. I call this tension between message and form incomplete resistance. The questions of how prostitution relates to patriarchy and the success of the protagonist's scheme in selling sex while refusing the label of prostitute are central to this analysis.     

男性弱质与父权秩序的倾覆──《醒世姻缘传》的女权主义批评

在《醒世姻缘传》中,女性人本意识的觉醒和为争取权力、自由而对男性施以几近变态的报复是导致父权秩序倾覆的主要原因,而男性文人自身的弱质同样是造成这种结果的另外一个不容忽视的重要原因。在新的大时代面前,他们未能积极地调整好自己。人格卑劣,生活能力低下,再加上好色轻薄等种种恶习,最终使自己失去了父权优势,引发了阴阳倒置及传统文明的裂变。     

论贝内特的男权话语矛盾

在我国,对英国现实主义作家贝内特的研究仍处于"尘封"阶段.以贝内特的"受虐者"心理为切入点,从女性主义角度审视他的三个主要文本《五城的安娜》、《老妇谭》和《克雷亨格》,其作品隐含的男权话语的矛盾:既同情女性,批评或质疑至高无上的父权;又推崇顺从的"家庭天使",呈现出对男权中心的无意识建构.
