民族类图书的出版问题及应对策略

改革开放以来,民族图书出版工作出现了良好的发展局面,但也面临着诸多困难和问题。民族专业出版社的发展和民族类图书的出版与当前整个出版业的大系统相比较,仍处于一种相对滞后的状态。如果不加以解决,这种滞后状态还会有越来越加重的趋势。因此,国家和各民族自治地方应制定扶持和加强民族出版工作的相关政策,进一步推动民族出版事业的发展。     

帝国之梦的幻灭历程——评析英国战后初期的外交政策

第二次世界大城改变了世界的格局,传统的以欧洲为中心的国际关系格局己被美苏两极格局所取代。战争所引起的新势态要求英国的外交政策做出适当的调整。但由于外交政策的连续性,英国政府在战后初期仍竭力维持自己"大英帝国"的地位,这就使得其在处理国际事务时常常感到力不从心。从"三环外交"方针、英国对欧政策和苏伊士危机这三个方面对英国战后初期的外交政策进行评析进而阐述英国帝国之梦的幻灭历程。     

WORKLESS PEOPLE AND SURVEILLANT MASHUPS Social policy and data sharing in the UK

This paper examines the use of ICT driven surveillant assemblages in UK welfare policy by drawing on the results of empirical research conducted for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). The focus is on one aspect of the growing role of surveillance in social policy: data aggregation on populations characterized by sustained worklessness. The implementation and implications of this form of surveillance are examined. The paper explores surveillance systems that were extant in 2005/06 and those that were being designed. The paper argues that there is an ongoing need for critical evaluation of the underlying logic of data mashing on marginalized populations.

面对市场经济的新形势,就高校科研管理中的科研课题申报、科研成果奖励和知识产权的保护等方面提出了强化管理意识、策化意识、名牌意识和保护意识的观点和措施,并论述了策划意识是科研管理出效益的先导,名牌意识是科研管理出成果的重要方面,知识产权保护意识是科研管理工作的必然要求。     

英国工党的政策制定新体制及对我国的启示

政策制定能力是党的执政能力的一个重要内容。当今的中国面临两个非常值得关注的问题:一是执政党如何更民主地设定政策议程，二是执政党如何更科学地制定政策。英国长期执政的工党的政策制定体制改革经验具有一定的借鉴价值。在重点介绍英国工党全国政策论坛、政策委员会、政策循环的设立背景及其作用的基础上，建议完善我国执政党政策制定体制:为公众意见纳入执政党政策议程提供制度化的渠道；提高政策酝酿阶段的透明性，鼓励适度公开的政策讨论；设立新型的政策分析机构。     

Educational equity in ethnically diverse group work

Educational research in cooperative learning suggests that inequity based on perceived status may be an issue with heterogeneous cooperative learning groups. This paper explores issues of status based on race, ethnicity and cultural background in the New Zealand tertiary classroom where there is a diverse mix of domestic and international students. A four-year research project examined attitudes and perceptions of both domestic and international tertiary students towards cooperative learning. The findings of the research project indicate that initial assumptions of relative status and ability of group members have a major effect on the outcomes of the group. These assumptions, demonstrated by both domestic and international students, may be based on expectations of language ability and familiarity with the pedagogical environment, including the assumed norms and behavioural patterns of the host educational setting, and may disadvantage students from different cultural backgrounds. This can become a self-fulfilling prophecy limiting the effective interaction and participation in the group by international students and other students perceived to be of low status, and the development of trust and reciprocal interdependence among group members. Strategies to weaken the effects of status, promote more equitable interaction and foster productive group outcomes are proposed.     

低学业成就者的汉译英SBI教学模式

目前我们汉译英的课堂教学模式过于简单且效率低下,本文提出了一种针对低学业成就者的、基于学习策略培训的汉译英SB I教学模式,从汉语语义结构分析、英语句子结构定型、英语词汇选择以及检查核对等多方面尝试将汉译英学习策略的培训渗透到汉译英的课堂教学活动中,以期提高这些学习者的汉译英技能,帮助他们掌握必要的语言学习策略,培养他们的自主学习能力,改善课堂教学效果。

Service Utilization Patterns Among Adolescent Mothers Residing in Three-Generational Households

ABSTRACT

This qualitative study used in-depth interviews to better understand the social service experiences and identified needs of 26 demographically diverse adolescent mothers and their mothers, who resided together in three-generational households. Most dyads accessed community services, particularly parenting and emotional supports, financial and material assistance, and medical care, and desired short-term assistance related to their circumstances and newly expanded families, rather than long-term support. The most commonly identified barrier to service utilization involved income eligibility guidelines. In light of welfare reform policies and the current economic climate, this research underscores the need for transitional supports for families, including assistance with basic needs. In terms of implications for social work practice and future research, adolescent mothers may need formal supports as they pursue independence after they leave their mothers’ care. Future research could further explore, within other communities and longitudinally, whether these preliminary trends hold true.
