Situational,Cultural and Societal Identities: Analysing Subject Positions as Classifications,Participant Roles,Viewpoints and Interactive Positions

In this article I develop tools for analyzing the identities that emerge in qualitative material. I approach identities as historically, socially and culturally produced subject positions, as processes that are in a constant state of becoming and that receive their temporary stability and meaning in concrete contexts and circumstances. I suggest that the identities and subject positions that materialize in qualitative material can be analyzed from four different perspectives. They can be approached by focusing on (1) classifications that define the boundary lines between ‘us’ and ‘them’, as (2) participant roles that refer to the temporal aspect of subject positions and outline their meaning for action, as (3) structures of viewpoint and focalization that frame meaning and order to opinions and experiences of the world, and as (4) interactive positions that articulate the roles and identities taken by the participants of communication.     

Bayesian analysis of head and neck cancer data using generalized inverse Lindley stress–strength reliability model

In this article, we present the analysis of head and neck cancer data using generalized inverse Lindley stress–strength reliability model. We propose Bayes estimators for estimating P(X > Y), when X and Y represent survival times of two groups of cancer patients observed under different therapies. The X and Y are assumed to be independent generalized inverse Lindley random variables with common shape parameter. Bayes estimators are obtained under the considerations of symmetric and asymmetric loss functions assuming independent gamma priors. Since posterior becomes complex and does not possess closed form expressions for Bayes estimators, Lindley’s approximation and Markov Chain Monte Carlo techniques are utilized for Bayesian computation. An extensive simulation experiment is carried out to compare the performances of Bayes estimators with the maximum likelihood estimators on the basis of simulated risks. Asymptotic, bootstrap, and Bayesian credible intervals are also computed for the P(X > Y).

伴随着中国的改革开放，中国反腐败的罪名体系走过了一条逐步精致化、细腻化的发展历程，完成了多次细化和全面转型，形成了严密的反腐败刑事法网和二元制罪名体系。二元制的反腐败罪名体系在过去30年间贡献卓著，它不仅是法律逻辑自然演进的结果，背后也承载着复杂的社会变革因素，更体现了立法者试图在制度层面遏制腐败的主观期待。伴随着中国改革开放力度和范围的加大，中国反腐败罪名体系的未来走向，必然是坚决废弃二元制罪名体系和彻底恢复一元制罪名体系。     

分形油藏不稳定渗流有效井径数学模型的解析解

将非线性的分形理论应用于渗流力学,在考虑井筒续流,表皮效应的影响下,建立了分形油藏不稳定渗流的有效井径数学模型。在该数学模型中通过引入双参数(df,θ)来描述油藏的分形特征。分形维数df反映了分形体的几何特征,是分形体复杂程度的重要标志;分形指数θ描述了分形网络的连通情况(与谱维数有关)。用拉普拉斯变换求出了此数学模型的解析解及长、短时渐近解,分析了压力动态特征和参数的影响。     

On the independence of linear and quadratic forms in normal variates

The independence of linear and quadratic forms in normal variates is very important in linear models and multivariate analysis, especially for the independence of quadratic forms. However, associated proofs in the early literature are incorrect, incomplete, or misleading. In this article, we provide simple and elegant proofs for some extended results.     

Empirical likelihood weighted composite quantile regression with partially missing covariates

This paper develops a novel weighted composite quantile regression (CQR) method for estimation of a linear model when some covariates are missing at random and the probability for missingness mechanism can be modelled parametrically. By incorporating the unbiased estimating equations of incomplete data into empirical likelihood (EL), we obtain the EL-based weights, and then re-adjust the inverse probability weighted CQR for estimating the vector of regression coefficients. Theoretical results show that the proposed method can achieve semiparametric efficiency if the selection probability function is correctly specified, therefore the EL weighted CQR is more efficient than the inverse probability weighted CQR. Besides, our algorithm is computationally simple and easy to implement. Simulation studies are conducted to examine the finite sample performance of the proposed procedures. Finally, we apply the new method to analyse the US news College data.
