牟宗三心性之学的三个问题意识及其遗留的课题——纪念《为中国文化敬告世界人士宣言》发表60周年

《为中国文化敬告世界人士宣言———我们对中国学术研究及中国文化与世界文化前途之共同认识》特别凸显了心性之学的重要性。虽然后来学界对这种过于抬高心性之学的倾向提出了批评,但这并不能掩盖现代新儒家第二代在心性之学研究方面做出的贡献。牟宗三早期较为关注政治问题,但中期和晚期的精力都集中在心性之学方面。牟宗三心性之学研究始终贯穿着三个问题意识,即活动问题、流弊问题、存有问题。所谓活动问题是指一种道德学说如何能够具有动能的问题,与之相应牟宗三提出了活动论;所谓流弊问题是指如何杜绝心学走向弊端的问题,与之相应牟宗三提出了形著论;所谓存有问题是指道德之心除决定个人成德成善之外,对宇宙万物能否以及如何发生影响的问题,与之相应牟宗三提出了存有论。为解决这些问题牟宗三付出了一生的努力,提出了很多极有价值的观点,但也留下了一些问题亟待后人解决。

新发展阶段,多维度考量乡村价值是高质量全面推进乡村振兴战略的必然选择。乡村价值主要包括乡村经济价值、生态价值、社会价值和文化价值。当前,乡村价值的实现陷入四重困境:新产业新业态培育“难”,限制乡村经济深度发展;生态涵养“乏”,破坏乡村生态建设格局;养生养老养人优势“弱”,削弱乡村社会建设优势;乡村文化建设“困”,淡化乡村文化特色。打破乡村价值的实现困境应遵循乡村产业发展规律,促进乡村经济发展;补强乡村发展生态短板,维护乡村生态平衡;改善乡村人居环境,满足乡村居民美好生活需要;通过乡村需要塑形铸魂,保护乡村优秀文化。     

Suppressing marginal totals from a two-dimensional table to protect sensitive information

The technique of data suppression for protecting sensitive information in a two-dimensional table from exact disclosure raises the computational problems of testing a given table of censored data for security, and searching for a secure suppression pattern of minimum size for a given table. We provide a polynomial security test to solve the former problem, and prove that the latter problem is intractable in the general case, but can be solved in linear time in the special case in which only sensitive cells are to be protected.     

论党内监督工作的历史经验、问题呈现及发展策略

党内的监督是一个系统工程,党在长期的监督实践特别是十八大以来党内监督的实践探索中得出一些经验:党内监督必须积极发展党内民主、要大力完善党内监督之核心、努力加强对权力的监督和制约、实行党内外监督相结合.当前党内监督实践中存在着监督制度操作性不强、党内监督的合力没有形成等问题.要从进一步强化监督主体的能动作用、改革与完善党内监督领导体制、加强党内监督制度建设、进一步理顺纪检机关的领导体制,进一步强化纪检机关的监督职能等方面进行改进,以形成良好的政治生态,着力提升党内监督的科学化水平.     

ASOBI IN ACTION

In the past 30 years, play (asobi) has become the subject of a heated ideological debate in urban Japan, reflecting processes of cultural transformation. During these years, a late consumer culture characterized by an incessant pursuit of playlike hedonistic pleasures has reached its apotheosis within a conservative social context that maintains high levels of conformity and prioritizes production. It is against the background of these sociocultural dynamics that the cultural conceptualization and appreciation of play have been negotiated between play as a subsidiary activity complementary to work life, confined within boundaries, and play as a phenomenon of greatest personal significance, hardly constrained by time or space. These dialectics have influenced collective imaginaries, transforming play into a symbolic activity through which people can experience and reproduce cultural rhetoric about social distinctions, values and priorities.

The order statistics of exponential,power function and pareto distributions and some applications

Some relations between the exponential, the Pareto and the Power function distributions and their order statistics are given. These relations are employed to obtain some characterization theorems of Pareto and Power distributions.     

Testing for a separation between two normal distributions

Three tests are proposed for testing for a specified degree of overlap between two normal distributions, The hypotheses considered are an extension of the Behrens-Fisher problem, A simulation study of the performance of the tests is presented.     

Determining the birth function for an age structured population

This paper deals with an inverse problem in age‐structured population dynamics, namely the recovery of the unknown birth function from the additional or overposed data consisting of the total population over a time interval equal to the maximum life span of the species. Conditions on the data are given to guarantee the existence and uniqueness of a solution, and the question of continuous dependence of the birth function on the data is addressed. Some numerical simulations are presented to indicate that one can in fact use the methods of the paper to reconstruct the birth function.     

Comparison of Kernel Discriminant Coordinates Algorithms

The construction of kernel discriminant coordinates reduces to the solution of a generalized eigenvalue problem in which both matrices are nonnegative definite. Six different algorithms for solving that problem are described, and the performance of these algorithms is tested on 26 different datasets. The percentage of misclassifications using a linear discriminant function is noted, and the algorithms’ running times are ascertained. Classification is also performed in the space of classical discriminant coordinates.
