宗教机构养老：一种独特的养老服务方式--以温州基督教会柳市堂“敬老之家”为例

伴随老龄化社会的到来,日益增长的养老服务需求与相对短缺的养老服务供给之间的矛盾日益突出,成为实现“老有所养”目标的重要障碍。在此特殊背景下,宗教机构养老作为一种养老服务的补充形式在我国部分地区出现和发展。浙江温州基督教会柳市堂的“敬老之家”即是典型一例,它由宗教机构创办,借助宗教活动场所和教徒奉献,以非盈利方式向特定老年人群提供以精神关怀为特色的综合性养老服务。宗教机构养老受社会养老需求、宗教的慈爱精神和慈善传统、国家的社会政策、服务资源的供给、服务对象的主观意愿等因素影响。作为一种独特的养老服务方式,宗教机构养老具有独特的社会功能和积极的社会价值,但需要进一步规范和引导。     

从禅宗修辞角度谈莫言《生死疲劳》的宗教情怀

所谓“禅宗修辞”,是指佛教的主要宗派禅宗的语录、灯录中所使用和出现过的修辞现象、修辞手法及其规律。在莫言的小说《生死疲劳》中,也出现大量为了表达作者心中的佛教观而使用的修辞现象、修辞手法及其规律。以禅宗修辞为视角,从禅宗修辞的模糊性、禅宗修辞的非逻辑性和禅宗修辞方式这三方面来分析《生死疲劳》的宗教情怀。     

王守仁从祀孔庙原因浅析

王守仁是明代大儒,心学的集大成者。其学术思想传至日本、朝鲜半岛以及东南亚,影响至今。他传奇的一生兼有立德、立功、立言的特点,被称为封建时代的完人。由于其特殊的贡献得以从祀孔庙,成为官方认定的经世大儒。学界关于王守仁从祀的过程研究较多,但对于其能够得以从祀的原因还少有详细梳理。可从王守仁个人理想、主要成就、外部保障及学说的时代性等四方面来论述厘清这一问题,这对于研究王守仁的历史影响具有重要意义。     

A century of mosques in France: building religious pluralism

The public debate in France has rolled out heatedly on the building of minarets, with opinion polls giving a majority of French opposed to the idea. Nevertheless, a fair number of mosques has been built throughout the past century. The French reception of mosques is therefore a complicated case. Recalling the history of French mosques and its different turns, with a focus on recent history, allows a glimpse at the visibility of Islam in the national sphere in France and its public reception. It also underlines that religious buildings, in the city, are at the intersection of different levels: questions of identity, of politics, of faith, and of integration, are all at stake.     

‘A sort of whirlwind’: mapping the changing geography of Presbyterian religious observance in Ireland

Since the European Reformation and the colonisations of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries Ireland has evolved a distinctive religious geography which had profound implications for its political development in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, leading ultimately to the division of the island along explicitly religio–territorial lines in 1921. Troubled Geographies, a major project funded under the auspices of the Arts and Humanities Research Council's ‘Religion and Society’ programme was the first attempt to seek to understand patterns of change in the island's complex geography of religious settlement in the period since the Great Famine of the mid-nineteenth century up to the most recent published censuses for both Northern Ireland and the Republic. This paper will present findings from a smaller spin-off project funded by the British Academy, which digitised records of attendance at Presbyterian churches across the island over the last 150 years, enabling us to assess how patterns of practice were affected by the momentous events of the period, including partition, civil war, two world wars, the vicissitudes of the global economy and the Troubles of the more recent past. In addition, the use of new quantitative materials such as those in the Presbyterian records enables us to reflect on how patterns of substantive religious practice reflect those on nominal religious affiliation available from successive censuses from either side of the border.

Integrating Religion and Social Work in Dual Degree Programs

Abstract

This article offers challenges, suggestions and examples for integrating insights from religion and social work in the context of masters level dual degree programs that link social work and other fields of study about religion, such as theology, pastoral counseling, and religious studies. The author first relates some personal and professional experiences regarding his own journey during the past 30 years in trying to find ways to connect religious studies, pastoral counseling, and social work. Next, the article presents suggestions for mutually beneficial ways that fields for studying religion and social work can challenge each other. Finally, several practical suggestions are given for designing integrated religion and social work dual degree programs.

近代北京主祀行业神灵的庙宇、会馆约有60余座,大体可分为两类:一类为传统宗教寺庙,另一类为工商会馆.京城工商行会祭祀行业神灵的传统,源于中国文化尊祖敬宗、崇德报功的多神宗教意识."百工杂技,各崇所宗".既有一业多神,又有一神多业.近代北京工商行会的宗教祭祀活动,体现出中国传统文化的发展趋势,即自明清以来儒佛（释)道合流的历史趋势.京城工商行会民众的宗教意识表现出强烈的功利与实用性格.随着近代京城社会的发展与动荡,宗教的实用功能日渐减弱,行会民众的宗教信仰日趋淡化.
