MMCp颗粒涂层的细观力学优化设计

两相模型曾被用来分析SiCp颗粒增强的Al基复合材料在制备（冷却）过程中的热残余应力，但该模型无法计入颗粒之间的相互作用影响．本文在其过去提出的三相模型，并利用等效介质的物理特性，给出了计入颗粒浓度影响的MMCp界而残余应力的解析解的基础上，引入界口涂层以消除热残余应力，并对颗粒涂层的厚度与选材，利用细观力学原理进行优化设计，从而大大削弱直至完全可以消除界面处热残余应力的影响。     

用动态子结构的加权残数法计算电站锅炉炉墙动力特性

本文利用动态子结构的加权残数法来计算大型电站锅炉炉墙的动力特性,使计算时处理的自由度数远小于有限元法,输入数据的总量大幅度下降,而其计算精度则与用大型通用有限元程序SAP5近于相同。     

Empowering Chinese Cancer Patients: Taking Culture into Account

Many Chinese cancer patients encounter a high degree of anxiety, but lack the vocabulary to express themselves emotionally. This is an attempt to develop a culturally sensitive psycho-social intervention for Chinese cancer patients in Hong Kong. A seven-phase model of emotional responses to cancer was developed from interviews with patients and focus group discussions with professionals. Based on an understanding of the local culture and what works best for the patients, the intervention focus was on empowering cancer patients to take charge of their health, their mood and their own lives. The framework of intervention with detailed intervention theories and skills are proposed.     

Outlier detection in linear models: a comparative study in simple linear regression

Five widely used test statistics for detecting outliers and influential observations were studied using Monte Carlo method . The test statistic based on Studentized residuals, with critical values given by Tietjen, Moore and Beckman (1973), appears to be the best procedure for detecting a single outlier in simple linear regression.     

Chinese online fiction: taste publics,entertainment, and Candle in the Tomb

This paper examines the growing cultural trend of Chinese online fiction. Using Gans's twin concepts of taste culture and taste public, it looks at online fiction as a product of two taste cultures evident on the Chinese Web. The paper then explores the growing appeal of online fiction for consumers and producers (or readers and authors) in relation to two key issues: are there important differences between online fiction and print fiction? Is the participatory nature of online fiction leading to a reinvigoration of literary creativity in the Chinese-speaking world? The relationship between the consumer and the producer of Chinese online fiction can also be explored in terms of an attention economy, and the evolving market for this type of fiction provides an excellent example of how such an economy functions. The attention economy encourages competition for the attention of readers and consequently ensures that the values of the taste public consuming this fiction strongly dictate its content and its continued improvement as a form of literary production.     

Influence and residuals in restricte generalized linear models

A particular influence measure for restricted regression models is reviewed in this paper. We give em- phasis on establishing regularity conditions to apply the proposed influence measure in restricted gen- eralized linear models. The development of conditional residuals is also discussed. In particular, a sim- ulation study was conducted in order to compare the distributions of the proposed residuals for various generalized linear models. Finally, an application is given.     

A new diagnostic tool for VARMA(p,q) models

A new diagnostic method for VARMA(p,q) time series models is introduced. The procedure is based on a statistic that generalizes to a multivariate setting the properties of the usual univariate ARMA(p,q) residual correlations. A multiple version of the cumulative periodogram statistic is also suggested. Simulation studies and one real data application are presented.     

On a Characterization of Generalized Pareto Distribution Based on Generalized Order Statistics

In recent years, several attempts have been made to characterize the generalized Pareto distribution (GPD) based on the properties of order statistics and record values. In the present article, we give a characterization result on GPD based on the spacing of generalized order statistics.     

Predicting hospital census using time series regression methods

We first describe the time series modeling problem in a general way. Then some specific assumptions and observations which are pertinent to the application of these models are made. We next propose a specific approach to the modeling problem, one which yields efficient, easily calculated estimators of all parameters (under the stated assumptions). Finally, the technique is applied to the problem of modeling the census of a particular hospital.     

Bootstrap entropy test for general location-scale time series models with heteroscedasticity

This study considers a goodness-of-fit test for location-scale time series models with heteroscedasticity, including a broad class of generalized autoregressive conditional heteroscedastic-type models. In financial time series analysis, the correct identification of model innovations is crucial for further inferences in diverse applications such as risk management analysis. To implement a goodness-of-fit test, we employ the residual-based entropy test generated from the residual empirical process. Since this test often shows size distortions and is affected by parameter estimation, its bootstrap version is considered. It is shown that the bootstrap entropy test is weakly consistent, and thereby its usage is justified. A simulation study and data analysis are conducted by way of an illustration.
