传播与唐传奇的繁荣

唐传奇是唐代一种重要的文学样式。唐传奇满足了唐人的史传传播意识 ,具备了众多有利于传播的因素 ,切近了崛起的市民阶层对大众文化的渴求 ,从而取得了最终的繁荣。     

中国电影趋向“现代”、内涵“文学”的初始探索--论中国早期言情片与好莱坞之影响及其电影史价值和意义

中国早期电影因为长时期游离于“五四”新文学和新文化运动而被严厉批评,所以,追求现代意识和文学深度,也就成为中国早期电影努力探索的方向。受好莱坞影响而兴起的早期言情片,正是中国电影在这一方面最初开始的艺术探索,具有重要的电影史价值和意义。在此借鉴和探索过程中,早期言情片透过哀情、爱情、艳情描写社会人生,注重人物的性格描写和情感表现,促使中国电影趋向“现代”、内涵“文学”,逐渐与“五四”新文学和新文化运动发生关联;而言情片强调“影戏之要素为美也”,使导演、表演和摄影注重影像画面的审美创造,又加强了早期电影趋向“现代”、内涵“文学”的艺术表现力。     

《淮南子》“太清”意象刍议

“太清”意象是承袭先秦文学,在《淮南子》中衍生为有固定内涵和外延、寓有作者情感的意象。“太清”意象的产生有深刻的社会根源和社会背景,也与《淮南子》自由思想和艺术特色有关。“太清”意象所包蕴的内涵丰富,有楚风的浪漫,有黄老道家思想的因素,有政治大一统之下的祥和的文化,更有诸侯国的文化特色,体现刘安思想感情。     

奇幻相生的审美效应——论新英雄传奇的"传奇"艺术

新英雄传奇以当代新英雄为表现对象,借用古典＂传奇＂艺术进行创作,其＂传奇＂性主要有4个方面：（1）神鬼之奇。新英雄传奇以神话、传说及人物的写意化描摹来营造虚实相生的故事氛围;（2）人物之奇。侧重强调、夸张新英雄异于常人的行为能力;（3）庸常之奇。以大量偶然、巧合因素使日常生活传奇化;（4）文章之奇。从语言、修辞、艺术手法等各方面表现战争英雄的精神风貌。新英雄传奇利用古典传奇进行现代启蒙,形成了奇幻相生的审美效应。     

英国文艺复兴时期的牧歌

英国文艺复兴时期,牧歌也获得新生并成为诗人们竞相展示才情的重要平台。该时期的牧歌有多种变体,大部分是通过展示理想化的田园生活来反映有闲的上层社会和风雅文人寻求精神慰藉的愿望,空想和虚幻是其主要特征。但也有部分诗人认识到牧歌的这种弊病并尝试将牧歌拉近现实,有的甚至流露出对现实的批判,这预示了牧歌的新的发展方向。     

《水浒传》的"社会风俗史"意义及其"精神意象"

《水浒传》特殊的“集体累积”成书过程,决定了它是“历史成份”极其稀薄的“英雄传奇”小说,其绾结短篇的特点,使众多“英雄好汉”的出身经历和聚义故事成为这一鸿篇巨制的主体内容。这些主要源于宋元民间“说话”的故事,保留了大量社会生活“原生态”的描写,使《水浒传》在一定程度上具有了“社会风俗史”的意义。在漫长的成书过程中,《水浒传》不仅在叙事艺术上经历了反复锤锻,同时也积淀、凝聚了“近古”以来中国社会广大民众普遍的观念意识和情绪心理,形成了带有时代特征的精神意象。     

借问英雄何处——《铁血湘西》的叙事艺术

邓宏顺的长篇小说《铁血湘西》展现大湘西各色人等的国仇家恨,在历史与现实交织的情境中执着于湘西题材的深度开掘,在多元书写的人物形象世界里将英雄与土匪并 置,使得小说充满传奇与浪漫融合的特质,乡土风格得到了诗意般的凸显和呈现。     

Lesbian brides: post-queer popular culture

The last decade has witnessed a proliferation of lesbian representations in European and North American popular culture, particularly within television drama and broader celebrity culture. The abundance of “positive” and “ordinary” representations of lesbians is widely celebrated as signifying progress in queer struggles for social equality. Yet, as this article details, the terms of the visibility extended to lesbians within popular culture often affirm ideals of hetero-patriarchal, white femininity. Focusing on the visual and narrative registers within which lesbian romances are mediated within television drama, this article examines the emergence of what we describe as “the lesbian normal.” Tracking the ways in which the lesbian normal is anchored in a longer history of “the normal gay,” it argues that the lesbian normal is indicative of the emergence of a broader post-feminist and post-queer popular culture, in which feminist and queer struggles are imagined as completed and belonging to the past. Post-queer popular culture is depoliticising in its effects, diminishing the critical potential of feminist and queer politics, and silencing the actually existing conditions of inequality, prejudice, and stigma that continue to shape lesbian lives.     

Undutiful daughter(s): troubling geographies of the gendered nation and belonging in Adichie’s Americanah and Atta’s Everything Good Will Come

ABSTRACT

This paper proffers a reading of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Americanah as a Bildungsroman that represents a moment of a daughter’s “undutifulness” to domesticating national patriarchies and cultures, textual and epistemic genealogies. In this regard, I posit Adichie’s twining of national romances and a heterosexual romantic love that travels and returns as a framework for examining gendered experiencing and relations to the “home.” The article considers the text’s representation of migration and return not simply as moments of re-domestication and formulaic reunification but as incidents that enunciate expanded relationalities to the nation and reconfigure domestic intimacies in a manner that radically unsettles “home.” Americanah is read alongside Sefi Atta’s Everything Good Will Come in an attempt to show how the development of the protagonists’ interpersonal romances goes together with a studied engagement with the national space and communities in ways that inscribe women’s labours of love, care and intellect into the public domain and charts transformative possibilities of being in the world and inhabiting home. Ultimately, Adichie and Atta’s texts demonstrate alertness to celebrations of transnational black femininities, its vulnerabilities and bonds that transcend the limited “ethical” commitments delineated by the horizons of gendered roles and the national home.
