汉语植物命名取象选择规律新探

该文利用统计学方法对一定数量的汉语植物名中的取象名素进行分类考察与统计，得出较为准确的量化结果。并对此现象进行了深入的分析，揭示了汉语植物命名取象的优选选择规律，进一步分析了这一规律与人们的感知、心理、思维之间的重要关系。     

The Skew‐normal Distribution and Related Multivariate Families*

Abstract. This paper provides an introductory overview of a portion of distribution theory which is currently under intense development. The starting point of this topic has been the so‐called skew‐normal distribution, but the connected area is becoming increasingly broad, and its branches include now many extensions, such as the skew‐elliptical families, and some forms of semi‐parametric formulations, extending the relevance of the field much beyond the original theme of ‘skewness’. The final part of the paper illustrates connections with various areas of application, including selective sampling, models for compositional data, robust methods, some problems in econometrics, non‐linear time series, especially in connection with financial data, and more.

以人为本:英语提高阶段课程体系改革的思考——清华大学英语选修课课程设置学生问卷调查分析

清华大学外语系大学英语选修课教研室于2003年秋季学期在306名本科生中做了一次选修课课程设置的问卷调查。该问卷调查试图从选课目的、课程总体收获、具体学习收获、学习需求和存在问题等方面了解学生对英语提高阶段选修课的反馈意见。文章将对调查数据所展示的重要信息进行概要的介绍和分析,并就如何在课程设置改革中体现“以人为本”的思想提出了一些设想和建议。     

生态适应观照下的中国政治话语翻译

中国政治话语翻译是以外国读者、受众为目标,将源信息由汉语转换成目的语并对外发表、传播的过程。中国政治话语的规范翻译是向国际社会准确阐释中国政治主张、治国理念的重要基础,它不仅具有传播意义,而且还具有重大战略意义。本文以生态适应论为指导,从生态翻译学的角度,就我国政治话语翻译过程中译者对翻译生态的能动选择与适应策略进行了论述。本文指出：政治话语的翻译过程就是译者能动地就政治话语的宏观生态环境,即源语目的、源语语义、源语特征及目标语言、文化等进行适应、选择的过程。     

Inferactive data analysis

We describe inferactive data analysis, so-named to denote an interactive approach to data analysis with an emphasis on inference after data analysis. Our approach is a compromise between Tukey's exploratory and confirmatory data analysis allowing also for Bayesian data analysis. We see this as a useful step in concrete providing tools (with statistical guarantees) for current data scientists. The basis of inference we use is (a conditional approach to) selective inference, in particular its randomized form. The relevant reference distributions are constructed from what we call a DAG-DAG—a Data Analysis Generative DAG, and a selective change of variables formula is crucial to any practical implementation of inferactive data analysis via sampling these distributions. We discuss a canonical example of an incomplete cross-validation test statistic to discriminate between black box models, and a real HIV dataset example to illustrate inference after making multiple queries on data.     

When to Make the Sensory Social: Registering in Face‐to‐Face Openings

This article analyzes naturally occurring video‐recorded openings during which participants make the sensory social through the action of registering—calling joint attention to a selected, publicly perceivable referent so others shift their sensory attention to it. It examines sequence‐initial actions that register referents for which a participant is regarded as responsible. Findings demonstrate a systematic preference organization which observably guides when and how people initiate registering sequences sensitive to ownership of, and displayed stance toward, the target referent. Analysis shows how registering an owned referent achieves intersubjectivity and puts involved participants' face, affiliation, and social relationship on the line.
