叙事的节制、节奏与诗意之美——废名小说《竹林的故事》中的叙事时间浅析

以叙事时间为视角,从废名小说《竹林的故事》中叙事错时、叙事的省略和节制、叙事节奏的缓急与叙述速度的快慢以及造成这种效果的方法等方面,探析了这篇小说具有诗意之美的原因。     

Robust group non-convex estimations for high-dimensional partially linear models

High-dimensional data with a group structure of variables arise always in many contemporary statistical modelling problems. Heavy-tailed errors or outliers in the response often exist in these data. We consider robust group selection for partially linear models when the number of covariates can be larger than the sample size. The non-convex penalty function is applied to achieve both goals of variable selection and estimation in the linear part simultaneously, and we use polynomial splines to estimate the nonparametric component. Under regular conditions, we show that the robust estimator enjoys the oracle property. Simulation studies demonstrate the performance of the proposed method with samples of moderate size. The analysis of a real example illustrates that our method works well.     

Heteronormative Consensus in the Norwegian Same-Sex Adoption Debate?

This article investigates the Norwegian newspaper debate (1998–2002) on the right of homosexual couples to adopt children. It identifies two patterns of meaning within which both anti-adoption and pro-adoption sides of the debate were located: 1) the nuclear family as reference point; and 2) a focus on innate qualities. Parallell to a continuous liberalization of sexualities in Norway we seem to witness a consensus on heteronormativity in Norway on both sides of the debate as the basic axiom in public discussions on homosexuality and adoption. In this article, we explore the nature of the heteronormative arguments and the reason for their appearance in this particular debate. The two patterns of meaning reproduce a perception of lesbians and gays as either a worthy or unworthy minority. These findings may be seen as reflecting fundamental positions regarding the Norwegian modernization project, where both sides of the debate see homosexuality as a central symbol. State feminism may also have played the role of reinforcing gender categories and thereby served as an important condition of possibility for contemporary heteronormativity.

The Communication of Differential Relationships in Preschool Children: Preference and Social Theme

We examined the conversations of 14 preschool children to explore differences in communication between friends and nonfriends in a well-established group. Children's social preferences were identified by analysing relative utterance frequencies which revealed a network structure of 4 cliques. We then examined whether the integration (inclusion/exclusion) and social theme (person/action) content of children's utterances, and the responses (accept/oppose) to these utterances, discriminated relationships in the social network. Our main findings were 1) Exclusive utterances were more likely to occur between nonfriends and to be opposed. Inclusive utterances were more likely to occur between friends and to be accepted. 2) Person and action themes were used differentially. In exclusion statements, nonfriends were more likely to be personally rejected whereas friends were more likely to have their actions rejected. In inclusion statements, personal references were more likely to be accepted between friends whereas references to a peer's actions tended to be accepted by both friends and nonfriends. We concluded that children adapted the integration and social theme content of their utterances to relationship context in order to establish more intimate interactions between friends and more distant interactions between nonfriends.

在众多教师发展途径中。教师合作作为有效途径之一受到越来越多的关注。本研究主要通过问卷调查的方法，对我校大学英语教师间的合作文化进行了调查，结果反映，我校大学英语教师虽然对合作文化怀有积极态度。但仍然缺乏合作文化，本文进一步分析了我校大学英语教师合作文化尚未形成的原因。对如何促进大学英语教师合作有所启发。
