From Source to Evidence? Teachers' Use of Historical Sources in Their Classrooms

To explore questions in history and to construct historical narratives, historians work with evidence from the past. This approach to teaching history (inquiry involving the use of evidence) is an accepted part of the research on history teaching and is promoted widely in standards frameworks and practitioner publications as “good history instruction.” What happens in a standards-based setting where teachers are covering large bodies of content? Do teachers use sources as part of their daily instruction? If so, how? We were afforded the unique opportunity to spend time observing what 35 teachers do by analyzing 352 videos submitted over a 4-year time span. We observed a spectrum of source use within and across teacher practice. In this article we share what we noticed.     

从奈达的“对等”理论看译者的追求

译者追求的不同能反映出译者的翻译观,会牵涉到译文的标准,当然会产生不同的译文.奈达翻译理论的核心思想是"对等"理论,依靠读者反应确定译文的优劣,但不是追求与原语完全一致.其他中外翻译家也表达过类似的观点,许多翻译实例都可以体现追求与原语"完全一致"的译文的弊病.译者应该追求"最贴切的最自然的对等表达",译文应该符合读者的阅读习惯,而不应该是贴近或照搬原语的表达方式.     

基于DirectX的气象雷达实时显示技术研究

提出了一种在Windows操作系统下的图像实时显示新型方法,该方法充分应用DirectX的更好的兼容性和更有效的图形加速特性,使用多缓存区进行图像数据存储、实时插值和边缘平滑处理、绘画和页面翻转的技术.以上技术使得气象回波的PPI和RHI显示更逼真地复现了天气的实时变化情况,并且显著地改进了系统的实时处理性能.实验结果证明了使用该技术的有效性和可行性.

Critical appraisal of research studies forms a central role within the application and uptake of evidence‐based approaches within health and social care. While there are established checklists for evaluating quantitative research, this is not the case for qualitative research. This article outlines the process of developing an evaluative tool for qualitative studies, reflecting the uniqueness of the associated paradigm, and illustrates its use by reference to three qualitative research papers appraised within a systematic review of community‐based rehabilitation services. At its centre are concerns with the context of the study and the way the data are collected and analysed. Use of such an evaluative template opens the way for the quality of qualitative research to be judged in a systematic manner and for qualitative research to take its rightful place within debates over what works, where, when and how within health and social care policy and practice.

本文从宝玉石的化学结构出发，运用晶体场理论和配住场理论，对宝玉石颜色的产生机理进行了论述和探讨，解释了颜色产生的奥秘．     

DCT域分形图像压缩编码方法

首先研究了一般分形图像压缩方法存在的缺陷，然后对它进行改进。最后在ＤＣＩ域做进一步的改进。实验结果表明，和原来方法相比较，ＤＣＴ域分形图像压缩编码方法具有明显的优越性。     

原语文本的解码策略模式

文章阐述了翻译过程的一个具体事件———解码原语文本。作者认为要获得原语文本的"真值"而不再仅仅是"命题意义",就得研究和探索原语文本的解码策略模式,并提出原语文本解码某些策略模式对理解文本的意义和作者的意图更具有较强的解释力。     

关于人类语言局限性问题的思考

从中国古代文人先哲对语言生发的"道不可言"、"言不尽意"、"意不称物"的思想体认,到西方哲学家对语言困境阐发的理性思考,都说明了人类语言具有局限性是客观存在的。从语言的本质特征和功能角度看,语言的线条性决定了语言不可能共时地再现立体的、多维的世界;语言的概括性决定了语言不可能充分地表达尽事物所包含的所有意蕴;语言功能的有限性决定了不可能独自地发挥交际与思维作用。清楚地了解和认识语言的局限,对于我们全面、客观、准确地把握语言、运用语言、超越语言有着重要的理论价值和实践意义。     

推进理论创新促进社会发展

理论创新是社会发展和变革的先导,只有不断推进理论创新,才能促进社会的不断发展进步,推进理论创新,必须贯彻“三个代表”要求,重视总结实践经验,努力提高创新能力。     

对目前我国大学“文学概论”课几个问题的思考

从建国至今半个世纪以来,我国大学“文学概论”教科书在有关“社会主义现实主义”和“两结合”创作方法问题、典型理论问题、“文学反映生活”问题和“生活是文学的唯一源泉”问题上,一直显现出理论上的矛盾和学术态度上的雷同或模棱两可,并由此带来一系列的问题,这些问题值得人们去探讨和反思。
