复合型人才培养目标与商务英语课程设置研究

为了顺应中国市场经济迅速发展的需求,满足社会对人才的新要求,符合教育部2000出台的《高等学校英语专业教学大纲》的要求,实现"复合型英语人才"的培养目标,更好地建设商务英语课程,将会给英语人才提供一个坚实可靠的就业平台。针对目前商务英语课程中的设置模式,为商务英语学生打造符合社会需求的课程设置是真正解决就业之道。     

企业社交网络对员工流失行为的影响研究

企业社交网络的出现使得员工与员工之间的沟通方式变得快速多样化,使企业员工能够高效、透明、便捷的沟通与协作。已有研究认为,企业社交网络为员工与企业创造了新的价值并使得企业更加稳定;相关研究认为,员工使用社交网络的行为可能影响了员工的流失行为。为了证实此类研究的结论,并找到企业社交网络影响员工流失的原因,对某通信服务企业内部社交网络相关数据的挖掘与分析。通过数据分析软件STATA进行模型仿真与检验,发现员工使用企业社交网络的行为确实导致了员工流失的降低,而员工个人社会资本的积累发挥了重要的中介作用,员工使用社交网络所形成的社会资本是影响员工流失行为的关键因素。

高等院校新兴专业人才培养模式共性问题反思——以高等院校动画专业人才培养为例

目前在多数高等院校新兴专业教学中,普遍存在师资力量薄弱不足、人才培养方向含糊和轻视专业基础教学的问题.探究新兴专业培养人才存在共性问题的深层原因,是由于各个高等院校新兴专业学科带头人或负责人,以及专业教师在办学理念上存在主观主义,导致高等院校为新兴产业输出的后备人才软弱无力、专业能力不强和质量不高.这也是高等院校新兴专业毕业生就业困境的成因之一.

The Relationship Between Caseworker Assessments of Clients’ Social Networks and Child Welfare Placement Outcomes

Policy changes in Ontario, Canada, emphasized the role of social supports as a protective measure for children at risk. The authors examined the relationship between worker assessments of total number and type of social support and whether an infant is removed from the mother’s care. Analyses indicated that infants were less likely to be removed from the mother’s care when caseworkers viewed maternal social supports as positive. This association was strongest when the caseworker identified only positive supports, with nonnegative contacts. Results suggest that caseworkers’ distinctions between positive and nonpositive social networks influence removal decisions.     

The Association of Team Composition and Meeting Characteristics With Foster Care Placement Recommendations

ABSTRACT

Research shows that changing foster care placements is associated with negative outcomes for children. This study examines the extent to which Team Decision Making (TDM) can influence placement recommendations for children currently in foster care. Using administrative data from three sites, logistic regression models are fitted to estimate the association of team and meeting characteristics with placement recommendations. Controlling for demographic differences across sites, results show that caregiver attendance significantly reduces the likelihood that a child will be recommended to change placements, specifically, to less restrictive and more restrictive placements. Implications for practice and future research are discussed.     

Effects of Placement Changes on Health Insurance Stability Among a National Sample of Children in the Child Welfare System

ABSTRACT

Children in the child welfare system have entitlements to health insurance coverage—critical because of their considerable physical and mental health needs—based largely on their placement status. This study conducted path and transitions analyses on data from the National Survey of Child and Adolescent Well-Being (3,801 children followed-up for 3 years) to examine the interplay between placement changes and insurance stability. Children maintained in-home at Wave 1 had significantly lower odds of being insured (OR = 0.7); children transitioning from out-of-home placement to in-home care had significantly lower odds of maintaining insurance coverage (OR = 0.6). Child welfare workers working with children maintained in-home and those being reunified should safeguard the children's insurance status. Policy makers should consider extension of categorical eligibility to all children presenting to child welfare agencies in order to assure access to needed services for these vulnerable children.     

Social Work Student Interest in Nursing Home Employment: A North American Study

Nursing homes (NHs) are a primary setting for gerontological social work; yet, little is known about social workers' career interest relative to this setting. This article reports the findings of an online survey of social work students (177 US and 91 Canadian) that sought to identify personal characteristics and beliefs that influence NH employment intentions. Students who were enrolled in bachelors programs, lacked previous practice experience, and had already had a NH field placement or wanted this experience were more likely to express employment intent. The implications of these findings for social work education and research are discussed.
