自然、技术与物种的可持续性 ——论《加拉帕戈斯群岛》的生态忧思

冯内古特的末世叙事小说《加拉帕戈斯群岛》巧妙地融合了现实与虚构的生态图景,以黑色幽默艺术风格与人文主义生存理念再现了当代西方政治经济体系下的生态模式。文章从人类对动物的利用与虐杀、资本对人类的辖制与人类的技术崇拜、人类社会多种因素引起的生命大规模毁灭等层面,反思西方社会20世纪下半叶生态恶化的多重根源;以动态的整体论的视角看待冯内古特的生态焦虑,指出人类与动物的跨物种联系、技科学(techno-science)对环境的影响以及生态环境的可持续性皆为人类未来存在与发展的关键因素。     

中国省份创新能力提升了出口韧性吗?——基于中国31个省份的面板数据分析

在国际政治、地缘政治和国际公共安全卫生事件对出口产生冲击的背景下,采取何种政策措施来应对外部冲击、保持出口稳定增长成为政府和企业面临的重要问题。借鉴区域经济韧性的测度方法,基于首次提出的出口韧性测度指标,利用《中国海关进出口统计数据库》测度了1999—2016年中国31个省份(除中国香港、澳门、台湾外)的出口韧性,结合《中国统计年鉴》省份层面的宏观数据,运用固定效应模型,考察了省份创新能力、出口韧性之间的关系和产业内在出口韧性的来源、决定机制。研究发现,省份创新能力的提升有利于提高其出口韧性,省份创新能力对不同地区的省份出口韧性存在异质性影响,在金融危机这一负向外部冲击下,省份创新能力的提升对出口韧性的提高存在显著促进作用。研究表明,要通过深化科技体制改革,加大对新兴产业的税收优惠政策力度,加速出口产业整体向创新驱动发展的转型升级,完善出口产品研发创新链条,促进企业完善人才培养机制等方式来提高省份创新能力,提高出口韧性和稳定出口优势。     

城市治理的基本假设及其幻想

当前关于城市“管理”的理论研究中,“城市治理”的话语正在取代“城市管理”,由此形成的各种对城市的认知也反映在城市的实践中,譬如,提倡提高公众参与、实施精细化治理、信仰信息技术等。通过审视城市治理主张的公众参与假设、技术治理假设和空间治理假设,文章提出治理理论的兴起不足以取代城市管理理论;对管理主义的批评,不能通盘否定“管理”理论对城市的重要作用。主张重塑城市管理理念,以管理思想处理理性与自由的关系,理清并守住政府的职责,警惕唯市场效率,探索多元价值的平衡之道,贡献管理公共性的经验,促进国家治理能力和治理体系的现代化。     

网络视频实时在线评论用户认可度的影响因素

目前,网络视频实时在线评论激增带来的信息爆炸,使实时在线评论信息管理成为重要议题。以往对实时在线评论的研究多集中于个人行为结果方面,而缺乏对实时在线评论信息管理问题的关注;同时,现有视频网站对实时在线评论信息的管理也存在诸多局限。以爱奇艺视频网站热度榜中的电影为样本,基于信息质量维度框架并采用Tobit模型对实时在线评论用户认可度的影响因素进行研究,结果发现：实时在线评论的新颖性、相似性、情感倾向性和信息丰富性,均对实时在线评论的用户认可度存在显著影响,其中新颖性和相似性影响作用最大。视频网站可以据此进一步强化实时在线评论管理,改善用户的体验,保持用户的粘性。     

DESIGN OF DIGITAL DEMOCRACIES: Performances of citizenship, gender and IT

The point of departure for this article is several Swedish IT policies that articulate goals for further development of the welfare state, which demand and enable active citizenship as well as enrolment of IT in the performance of this active citizenship. This article also examines the performance of active citizenship in a variety of sociotechnical arenas where people and technology coexist. Does the notion of active citizenship turn out a number of performances when translated into materialized technologies, such as Internet portals and web-based services? The authors juxtapose the policies with a construction of agencies in the story of citizens' design. In the last section, the discussions taking place in the parliament of things are summarized and related to the problematizations of citizenship, gender and IT.

The need for knowledge modification in technology change: a framework to consider changes in domain complexity,knowledge and productivity

This paper researches productivity in relation to domain complexity and the present knowledge capacity in an organisational context. The study is based on five very different case studies. Three studies are conducted in Denmark, Germany, Mexico and China and are related to knowledge transfer in the relocation of manufacturing facilities. Two studies investigate operation and automation of oil and gas production in the North Sea. The case study method involves semi-structured interviews, surveys, an analysis of historical production data and observations. Based on the findings from the field studies, the paper develops a conceptual framework that management can use for discussions of productivity, development of knowledge and design of learning programmes when considering changes in the complexity of a domain or a change in knowledge.

The disenchantment of Bitcoin: unveiling the myth of a digital currency

Bitcoin and its peculiar, decentralized transaction system, have already ignited interest by professional and retail traders in search for profits and by economists and legal experts, looking for possible regulation to contain illegal uses. We instead examine the unexpected and ongoing success of Bitcoin from a sociological perspective, first questioning its unusual legitimation system, backed by the so called ‘blockchain technology’, instead of by governmental authorities. Then we collect data and elements to reconstruct Bitcoin’s history as a cryptocurrency, starting from the mysterious story surrounding its birth. We then follow its spread and development through social networks and words of mouth, together with its sudden booms and bursts, finally to suggest that both users and institutional regulators should be aware of the risks of Bitcoin and of its alleged power to challenge our very notion of money.
