Ethical Considerations in Management Research: A ‘Truth’ Seeker''s Guide

Within a growing Knowledge-Management context, it would appear that Management Research calls for researchers to explicitly understand their own values, have increasing capacity for reflexivity and anticipate various ethical dilemmas that emerge from the research endeavour. This paper provides an overview of the philosophy of ethics and focuses on a researcher's ethical reasoning. It provides a framework for understanding causes of ethical dilemmas in the context of management research and provides strategies for a way forward through such dilemmas. The paper, finally, outlines exercises pertinent to research ethics and ‘hands on’ research praxis. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.

当代经济全球化的广度、深度和强度已经远远超越我们思维的理解力和语言的表达力。复杂深刻的实践对有限的理性提出了挑战。至于经济全球化的界定,经济全球化的起源,经济全球化的性质及趋势等方面,当代西方各种经济全球化理论观点纷繁,经过笔者梳理后,发现各种有关经济全球化理论在"追随"实践的过程中,凸显了理性的有限性。由于每一个学者的价值观念、分析角度、占有材料的不同,其对经济全球化的理解也不同。因此,对各种经济全球化理论进行综述的方法很有必要讲求其历史真实性和科学性,研究经济全球化的方法亦应主要求助于马克思主义政治经济学的方法,尤其是在考察各种经济全球化理论时理应坚持辩证唯物主义观点,从而使得我们从"消极应对"转变为"积极参与"融入经济全球化的实践。

唐代景教失败的原因是多方面的,除了跟它过分依附于"三教"之外,它在传教方式上过分依附于皇室,致使它过多地秉承了儒家的实用理性.此外,从当代翻译理论的角度对其对<圣经>的翻译进行研究,也可以看出它在传教过程中的偏差.通过对景教的传教方式和传译方式的研究,可以让我们充分认识到异质文化在本土文化中的处境问题.

教育的社会、历史、文化特性 ,决定了人们对教育的认识必然具有理解性质。在理解中 ,或者说通过理解 ,人们便获得了教育的意义。教育的意义就是“教育是什么”的问题。这个问题的答案在日常语言世界中 ,在教育理论世界中。从有关教育的语词和教育俗语中 ,我们能透视出鲜活的中国文化背景下人们关于教育的社会性理解和认识 ;从教育理论关于教育的把握中 ,我们可以获得人类创造的教育理性。日常语言世界的教育意义是教育历史的积淀 ,它继承历史 ,说明现实 ,现实证明了它的实际 ,它又证明了现实的合理。理论世界的教育意义 ,在理性的道路上也继承了历史 ,但对现实它隐含着批判 ,更大的志趣在于引导教育现实放下包袱 ,走向未来。我们若想获得一个关于教育的全面的理解 ,就必须在日常语言世界和教育理论世界之间建造桥梁 ,沟通常识和理论 ,链接历史、现实和未来 ,把知性逻辑和理性逻辑辩证统一起来。

Der Insolvenzprozess und die Eigenverwaltung in der Insolvenz auf Basis unterschiedlicher Theoriekonzepte

Zusammenfassung  Der Beitrag erkl?rt einerseits die Notwendigkeit eines durch Gesetz geregelten Verfahrens zur Insolvenzabwicklung mittels betriebswirtschaftlicher Grundlagentheorien. Andererseits werden dieselben Grundlagentheorien genutzt, um die unterschiedlichen sich ver?ndernden Machtstrukturen, die oft gegens?tzlichen Interessen von Stakeholdern, die Kosten des Insolvenzprozesses sowie deren Dynamik im Rahmen des vierphasigen Insolvenzprozesses (vor Insolvenzanmeldung, nach Antragstellung, nach Er?ffnung, nach Abschluss des Verfahrens) eines Not leidenden Unternehmens besser veranschaulichen zu k?nnen. Der besondere Schwerpunkt wird hierbei auf das Verfahren in Eigenverwaltung, das hei?t mit eigenem Management, gelegt.

The bankruptcy process and the self-administration in the bankruptcy proceedings

Summary  This article explains on one hand the necessity of a legally fixed process for the bankruptcy proceedings with basic economic theories. On the other hand, the same theories are used to demonstrate the changing power structures, the often different interests of stakeholders, the costs of the bankruptcy proceedings as well as its dynamics during the four bankruptcy phases (before the filing, after the filing, after opening and after closing) of the bankruptcy process. The focus of this article lies hereby on bankruptcy proceedings in self-administration which means that the management stays on duty.

School developmement, a critical perspective Today, everything dealing with school becomes subsumed under the keyword school development. The demand for school development is raised by two sides: on the one hand by political and social groups, on the other by schools themselves. In this way, very different ideas and demands on school development arise. School as institution and schools as highly complex organizations can’t be reformed with programs derived from economy and management methods. The legal and social context as well as school theories, organizational culture, internal structures and the self concept of teachers constitute the frame, in wich school development takes place as a continual process and whose neglect causes frustration and failure.
