When to Make the Sensory Social: Registering in Face‐to‐Face Openings

This article analyzes naturally occurring video‐recorded openings during which participants make the sensory social through the action of registering—calling joint attention to a selected, publicly perceivable referent so others shift their sensory attention to it. It examines sequence‐initial actions that register referents for which a participant is regarded as responsible. Findings demonstrate a systematic preference organization which observably guides when and how people initiate registering sequences sensitive to ownership of, and displayed stance toward, the target referent. Analysis shows how registering an owned referent achieves intersubjectivity and puts involved participants' face, affiliation, and social relationship on the line. SNS网站是来自美国的＂舶来品＂,其本质是为用户建立社会化网络、维系人际关系的工具。国人迅速复制,在国内掀起一拨又一拨SNS浪潮,影响虽大,成果却有限。国外网站进入中国遭遇水土不服,已经成为互联网界的普遍现象。说到底,跨文化差异造成的冲突是根本原因。从本土化文化研究、本土话语研究和本土受众研究三个方面可以论证SNS网站本土化的价值意义。     

Technological socialities: The impact of information and communication technologies on belonging among deaf and hard-of-hearing people

This review article examines how different types of communication technologies, from the specialized medical to generic social devices, influence belonging and sociality among deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) people. The emphasis is on DHH adolescents and young adults who may be impacted differently across countries, given state-specific policies regarding the status of sign language and deaf education, and based on different availability, affordability, and accessibility of communication technologies. We introduce different perspectives on deafness, ranging from pathological to cultural, a heuristic on which we build to explore DHH socialities as complex and evolving. We then analytically review ethnographic research on how cochlear implants impact DHH people's belonging to the “deaf world” and/or the “hearing world,” and how they navigate between these worlds. Then we move on to technologies such as text messages and social media, which enable DHH people to extend their socialities beyond local communities. Belonging is a fluid phenomenon, and technologies which are in a constant process of innovation and development may influence it in complex ways. We argue that to explore questions of belonging, identity, and sociality among DHH people, and how they are shaped by technologies, (visual) ethnographic methods are particularly productive.

电子游戏作为新技术和新文化发展的代表产物,已成为儿童的重要娱乐方式。与此同时,电子游戏对儿童尤其是儿童心理发展的影响已引起了社会各界的关注。实证研究表明,电子游戏如果合理利用,可以培养儿童的多元智能,成为一种很好的教育资源。不同类型电子游戏对开发和培养儿童单项智能具有不同的优势。游戏设计开发人员和教育工作者应设计开发适合儿童多元智能发展的电子游戏作品,发挥电子游戏所具有的智能开发的优势,减少电子游戏对儿童智能发展的不利影响。     

我国网络视频的发展趋势及建议

2009年底,我国网络视频用户规模达到2．4亿。伴随着网络视频用户规模的不断扩大,网络视频的发展进入一个新的成长期,我国网络视频的格局也随之发展变化。如何正确认识网络视频的发展趋势,引导和促进网络视频产业发展,成为当前网络视频领域面临的重要问题。本文从技术、内容、行业环境三个方面分别对我国网络视频的发展趋势进行解析,并由此提出我国网络视频进一步发展的建议,以期抛砖引玉,助力我国网络视频未来的发展。

广东高校应将共青团网站定位为贴近青年学生的"青年站";凸显岭南高校特色的"特色站";坚持正确舆论导向、提供综合服务,满足青年学生成长需求的"营养站"。当前,广东高校共青团网站对青年学生的吸引力普遍不强,本科院校建站率远高于专科院校。广东高校共青团网站建设应推广责权分明的师生分级管理模式,推行责任约束管理机制,实行受众参与管理的模式,注重技术开发队伍建设和内容采编队伍建设,接受青年学生的监督和评估。     

基于TMS320DM6446的H.264视频编码器的实现及优化

文章为实现基于TMS320DM6446的H.264视频编码器的实时性能,提出一系列优化方法.首先描述X264代码向TMS320DM6446平台的移植过程,然后从项目级优化、指令级优化和算法级优化等几个方面提出优化实现方案.实验结果表明:对于CIF格式的视频,优化后的H.264编码器可以达到24帧/s以上的编码速度,基本满足视频监控系统中编码器的需求.     

基于．NET的多媒体教室远程监控系统研制

在经费紧张的情况下,以．NETFramework为开发平台,使用远程串口控制、多线程、Socket通讯、视频压缩、音频压缩等技术,利用现有的设备和校园网,自主创新,设计一套成本低廉,但功能强大且实用的多媒体教室远程监控系统．系统利用较少的投入而解决了实际工作中碰到的多种问题,在肇庆学院第二教学楼试用取得了预期效果,明显提高了管理员的工作效率,为广大师生上课提供了便利．     

Multimedia Biographies: A Reminiscence and Social Stimulus Tool for Persons with Cognitive Impairment

The multimedia biography tells the story of the life of an elderly person with a cognitive impairment in motion picture format. The multimedia biography combines family photographs, film clips, audio narration, and music. It is intended to be screened on an ongoing basis to provide spaces for reminiscence and communication between cognitively impaired persons and their families. Using a production process in which we collaborated with family caregivers, we created 12 multimedia biographies for persons having Alzheimer's disease or mild cognitive impairment. This article describes our production and screening processes. We also share lessons learned from the multimedia biography research to assist practitioners, families, or researchers who wish to use similar technologies and processes for eliciting and sharing life stories.
