Masculine Status,Sexual Performance,and the Sexual Stigmatization of Women

Collegiate hookup culture advances ideas of masculinity but contradicts notions of appropriate feminine sexuality. Drawing on focus group and interview data with college students, I examine how a group of class‐ and race‐privileged fraternity men face dilemmas as they enact a group constructed masculinity focused on sexual performance and the objectification of women. I employ a symbolic interactionist framework to illustrate how men, attentive to peer status yet anxious about the sexual stigmatization of women, draw on cultural ideas about appropriate feminine sexuality as they account for their approaches to sex and women (both with whom they interact sexually and how) along a range of intimacy—from hookups to committed relationships. I demonstrate that heterosexual interaction does not unequivocally link to masculine status and that men sometimes strive to limit the impact of casual sex or avoid it altogether.     

The Effects of Socioeconomic Status and Proactive Personality on Career Decision Self‐Efficacy

This study investigated the relationship of family socioeconomic status and proactive personality to career decision self‐efficacy in a sample of 336 Taiwanese college students. The results of the partial least squares path modeling analysis showed that both socioeconomic status and proactive personality were positively associated with career decision self‐efficacy. These findings support person input variables as being predictive of career decision self‐efficacy and provide career counselors with insight into how to design career interventions for improving college students’ career decision self‐efficacy. Implications for career counseling and suggestions for future research are discussed.     

The status and factions theory of influence

We review a relatively new theoretical research program on the joint effects of status and the distribution of opinions on social influence. The status and factions theory of influence combines sociological insights about status generalization with psychological research on how the distribution of opinions promotes social influence. To date, several published studies support the logic of the theory, including how the effect of status varies with the distribution of opinions and the intervening theoretical mechanism. The former has been replicated a number of times, but only one study to date has truly tested the mechanism. Uncertainty reduction has been found to explain some of the joint effects of status and the distribution of opinions on social influence, but there is room for improvement. Consequently, after we discuss the existing literature, we identify additional mechanisms that may be worth pursuing in the future and also some applications of the theory's utility.

改革开放后 ,众多女性人口流入江苏省。她们年龄构成轻 ,文化程度偏低 ,其婚恋生育观念都不同程度地受到当地居民的影响 ,但又相对复杂。外来女性人口的早婚比例较高 ,而打工妹的未婚率则相对高得多 ,她们的生育观念更接近城市女性 ,生育水平也与城市接近 ,这一现状的形成既有自觉的因素 ,也有无奈的选择

武则天是中国历史上杰出的政治家,她在登上政治舞台之后,对传统的儒学思想进行了有效地吸收利用,具体表现在以下几个方面其一是正名分,取得登上皇位的合法身份。其二是制礼作乐,鼓吹君权神授。其三是自制《臣轨》,宣传儒家的忠君思想,不断强化武周的皇权统治。其四是重用具有儒家思想的文武大臣,使他们成为巩固政权的重要支柱。     

多元化战略、高管持股分布设计与公司治理

多元化战略实施过程中高管持股作为一种长期激励机制其设计是否合理将直接影响企业战略收益的实现,在文献回顾的基础上分析高管持股利益趋同效应对多元化战略成功实施的积极意义以及公司治理强弱对高管持股效应的影响.对沪深两市2005年674家上市公司的数据进行实证分析,结果表明提高高管持股激励强度能有效改善多元化战略的实施效果,但高管持股分布设计差异影响利益趋同效应的发挥.公司治理作为企业战略实施的保障机制,可以有效地避免高管持股的壕沟防御效应.企业应该从高管持股分布设计和公司治理等多个维度同步建设入手,为多元化战略的成功实施创造条件.     

我国商业银行操作风险管理能力影响因素及管理状况分析

基于复杂系统理论和企业能力理论、风险管理理论,研究中提出了商业银行操作风险管理能力概念及其内涵构成,从安全管理理论中的人因失误和组织错误角度分析和研究了影响商业银行操作风险管理能力的各项重要因素。在商业银行操作风险管理状况调查问卷中,对操作风险管理水平及管理能力产生影响的各项因素进行了相应题项设计,并向各类商业银行从业人员发放银行问卷,获取了我国商业银行当前操作风险管理的具体状况。通过研究得出,银行员工层次是商业银行在操作风险管理中所必须要重点关注的影响因素。研究对于我国商业银行全面深入了解操作风险管理实际状况,提升自身操作风险管理水平及能力,有效防范和控制操作风险,具有重要的理论意义和现实意义。     

独立学院法律地位研究

当前独立学院具有独立法人地位的规定尚不够明晰,其法律地位亟待解决的问题主要有：与我国现行民办高等教育法律体系不协调;独立学院法律地位规范的内容不健全;规范性法律文件的效力级别明显偏低。完善独立学院法律地位应从健全独立学院法律制度,并将独立学院的立法纳入与现行民办高等教育法律体系两个方面入手。     

国际非政府组织国际法律地位的国际造法尝试评析

从二十世纪初期国际非政府组织在国际舞台上活跃以来,国际社会积极致力于解决其在国际法上的地位这一重要问题,近百年来起草了13份有关国际非政府组织国际法律地位的公约或决议草案。这13份公约草案到底有何异同？其各自失败的原因是什么？这些国际造法尝试此起彼伏、前仆后继的历程对我们今天制定和发展相应的国际规范有哪些参考借鉴？本文将以这13份正式成文的公约或决议草案为线索,对其主要内容和特点进行述评,来尝试回答上述问题。文章分为三部分,第一部分对13份国际公约草案的出台背景及讨论、通过情况进行简要概述;第二部分重点分析其主要内容及特点;第三部分则对其成败教训进行总结,并试图提出一些值得今后参考借鉴的经验。     

商业银行流动性过剩问题解析

选择超额准备金、银行存贷差、银行间市场人民币交易成交量和货币供给为指标,从量化的角度对近年来我国商业银行流动性过剩问题进行分析,并说明其对商业银行本身和宏观经济产生的负面影响,然后从经济运行的宏观角度、商业银行和居民的微观角度探讨我国商业银行流动性过剩的原因。在此基础上,提出了解决流动性过剩问题的若干对策建议。
