中国古典诗词蕴含博大精深的文化概念,文本中体现出作者对世界和人生的认知,在概念整合理论四空间认知模式的指导下对中国古典诗词进行英译,能有效地避免翻译过程中的误译。从概念整合理论的角度解读苏东坡诗词的英译过程,可以验证概念整合理论四空间认知模式对翻译的指导意义,从而为中国古典诗词英译提供借鉴。     

The Square of Polish Innocence: POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw and its symbolic topography

The text refers to the space around the Nathan Rapoport’s Monument to the Fighters and Martyrs of the Ghetto and the Museum of the History of Polish Jews POLIN in Warsaw (Poland). The site of death – at the heart of the former Warsaw Ghetto – has now become a site overloaded with other symbolic messages. Two main symbolic centers (the 1948 Monument and the 2013 Museum) are today encircled by ten other, additional memorials. The message emerging from the content as well as the proportion of commemorations is that Polish solidarity with the Jews was a fact and it stood the test of terror and death brought by the Germans. Although it does not undermine the veracity of the few and isolated exceptions, such a version of events is drastically different from the actual facts. Both symbolic centers are perceived as emblems of Jewish minority narrative. Additional artefacts are a message formulated by the Polish majority. They constitute a kind of symbolic encirclement, block. Emphasizing the dominant majority’s version of the events in this place is in fact a symbolic pre-emptive action. It is meant to silence the unwanted narrative or suppress even the mere possibility that it might emerge. What turns out to be at stake in the dominant Polish narrative about the Holocaust and Polish-Jewish relations is the image of Poland and the Poles. This shows not only the topographic and symbolic situation but also the socio-cultural context of the functioning of the new Museum.     

Violence against women—social services support during legal proceedings

Social workers and social work have been criticized for failing to address violence against women in adequate ways, of blaming the victim and failing to recognize domestic violence as a problem. At the same time, it is the social services that are responsible for support to abused women, according to amendments in the Social Services Act (2001). This article examines abused women’s own experiences of support in connection with the police investigation of domestic violence. It is a qualitative study with six women who all have received support from the Relationship Violence Center (RVC) in Stockholm. The main findings in the article suggest that support in connection with the judicial process is important. Women’s earlier experiences or preconceptions of the social services might prevent them from accepting support or turning to the social services for help.     

我国人民陪审制度的问题及解决路径

全国人大常委会《关于完善人民陪审员制度的决定》对于扭转人民陪审员“陪而不审,审而不议”的窘境有所裨益。但由于制度矛盾及配套措施欠缺等多种原因,我国人民陪审制度的实际运行效果与预期仍存在一定差距。为更好地发挥人民陪审所承载的司法民主、权力制衡等制度价值,我国应着重从扩大制度的适用范围、规范陪审员遴选程序、增加陪审权力、强化陪审义务四个方面予以进一步完善。     

我国中亚战略实施背景下中资企业及华人华侨保护问题研究

中亚地处亚欧大陆中部地区,地理位置和地缘战略地位非常重要。可以预计,我国在中亚的投资、中资企业及员工和华人华侨数量还将大幅上升。然而,当前国际和地区形势正发生着深刻而复杂的变化,导致中资企业及其员工、华人华侨在中亚遭遇到较大的困境。中亚国家经济社会转型缓慢,社会矛盾丛生,民族矛盾复杂,宗教矛盾激烈,复杂的地缘政治角力,直接影响到中资企业及员工、华人华侨在中亚的生存发展。如何破解困境,既关系到我国中亚战略能否成功实现和丝绸之路构想的成败,也关系到能否打破美国、日本的围堵,实现有利于我国的国家战略意图。     

三阶段组合效率测度模型与技术研发效率测度

在系统梳理现有可调整环境因素或/与统计噪音影响的三阶段组合效率测度模型的基础上,利用幅度调整测度(RAM)与随机前沿分析(SFA)结合,构建了无需强制性调整环境因素与统计噪音影响的三阶段组合效率测度改进模型——RAM-SFA-RAM.相对现有模型,新的组合测度模型不但在估计影响与调整投入和产出时可实现较为客观地设定环境因素与松弛变量之间存在非线性生产函数关系,以降低效率估计偏误,而且充分利用了RAM模型全面测度无效的优点,为从投入和产出两个方面同时过滤环境因素与统计噪音的差异性影响提供了新的分析途径;更重要的是,选用的RAM具有平移不变性,可使组合测度模型克服现有模型只能通过最值强制性对投入和产出进行正向调整以适应选择的效率估计模型无法处理非正值的不足,避免了由此产生的效率估计偏误.实证研究部分用这一组合效率测度模型分析了中国省域层次上大中型工业企业的技术研发效率,为效率的客观比较提供了可行的模型方法.     

试论《夏洛特的网》中的词汇衔接与连贯

衔接是把句子组成语篇的主要手段,研究衔接手段是语篇分析不可忽视的重要内容。作为五种衔接手段之一的词汇衔接,它表达了一种具体且复杂的意义关系,并在语篇连贯中起着连接的作用。以 Hal-liday和 Hasan的衔接理论为基础,结合语言实例,分析词汇衔接机制在《夏洛特的网》中的运用,从而说明词汇衔接手段在语篇连贯构建中的重要功能。可以从衔接角度来研究语篇连贯,也可以通过语篇中的衔接机制来预测语篇的连贯性。

河南战场是抗日战争的重要组成部分,中共在河南的战略部署经历了"埋头苦干"—"发展河南"—"绾毂中原"—"组织武装"四个阶段,并取得显著成效。基层党组织是中共经略河南的重要保障,战略部署的灵活性是其成功经验。     

Inequalities in students’ union leadership: the role of social networks

Drawing on a national survey of students’ union officers and staff, and a series of 24 focus groups involving both union officers and institutional senior managers, this article explores the characteristics of those who take up leadership roles in their (higher education) students’ union. We show that, in several areas – and particularly in relation to gender, ethnicity and age – union leaders do not represent well the diversity of the wider student body. In explaining these inequalities, we argue that friendship groups and other peer networks play a significant role in determining who does and does not take up leadership positions. Moreover, as friendship groups are often formed on the basis of ‘differential association’ and are thus frequently socially homogenous, inequalities tend to be perpetuated. Wider institutional cultures and societal norms are also implicated.     

Immigration politics by proxy: state agency in an era of national reluctance

ABSTRACT

While attempts to reform immigration policy have stalled in the U.S. Congress, statehouses across the country are responsible for an explosion in immigration lawmaking. This study uses an intergovernmental relations framework to identify shifting allocations of authority and contested scales of jurisdiction that now characterise the U.S. immigration policy. It presents an analysis of more than 2200 state bills passed over eight years (2006–2013), and supplements this with a case study of drivers’ licence and identification laws. The study is unique in its consideration of the ways that dispersed authority in multi-level systems may amplify rather than defuse contentious immigration politics.
