国学热的持续升温与值得思考的几个问题

一段时期以来持续升温的"国学热",原因复杂,既有积极的元素,也有消极的因子.为使其健康发展,必须端正研究和普及国学的目的,正确认识国学在当今中国社会文化体系中的地位,分清国粹与国渣,既尊重历史又与时俱进,既强调研究又重视普及,同时要以客观和宽容的态度看待"国学热"的争鸣.     

影响女大学生走向成功的心理因素及其教育对策

影响女大学生走向成功的心理因素主要有依赖心理、情绪化、意志薄弱、爱情至上、成就动机低、创造性不强等。作为高校来讲,应采取加强对女大学生的心理健康教育和咨询、开设“女性学”课程等措施来引导广大女大学生走向成功、成才,以充分挖掘这一宝贵的人力资源财富。     

科学、社会与市场视角下的精准医学创新

基于我国国情和精准医学的科学技术特征,利用科学-社会-市场三重维度分析框架,对我国精准医学的创新现状予以研究。研究发现,对生物信息学学科价值认识的不充分、鼓励公众参与机制的缺位、医疗产品市场准入和监管制度缺乏创新性是我国精准医学创新工作面临的主要张力与挑战。针对此种状况,应正视生物信息学基础学科的地位,加强生物信息数据的管理,加大资助力度;通过强化个人隐私保护和建立公众对话机制,鼓励公众参与精准医学创新;以加速医学研究成果转化为导向,调整医疗市场监管政策,使之满足我国精准医学创新的需要,符合国际现行标准。     

The ableism elephant in the academy: a study examining academia as informed by Australian scholars with lived experience

Abstract

The academy should be a welcoming environment for people with disability. Across Australia, however, there is a current shortage of programmes supporting people with disability to develop their careers as researchers. This article critically investigates current practice and experiences concerning universities and the employment and career development of people with disability as advised by the literature, and how this practice aligns with the lived experiences of several of our authors. Our review of the literature utilising Scopus, PsycINFO and ProQuest databases found a deficiency of research attention on this topic, with only 16 relevant articles identified. This paucity of literary evidence has been augmented in the article by personal stories shared by four of its authors. By focusing on evidence-based measures with potential to support disability employment and career pathways throughout universities in Australia and elsewhere, this article challenges leaders to address ableism and to advance a more inclusive academy.

The mental health peer worker as informant: performing authenticity and the paradoxes of passing

The inclusion imperative in community care means that disabled people are now increasingly being employed as peer workers in the service systems that manage them. This article offers a timely inquiry into the role of the peer worker in mental health and homeless service sectors. Drawing on a four-year ethnography and in-depth qualitative interviews with fellow peer workers, I explore the paradoxical nature of new expectations for peer ‘authenticity,’ and the ways in which peer workers learn to manage the requirement to perform identity in our work roles. This analysis thus denaturalizes peer identity, and works to develop possibilities for doing disability identity-based work differently.     

Disability, (auto)mobility and austerity: shrinking horizons and spaces of refuge

In Britain, many disabled people have access to a car through the Motability Scheme. However, with recent news of thousands of disability claimants losing their cars in cuts, it is worth reflecting on the cultural and symbolic importance of the motor car. This article considers the car’s ability to expand spatial and experiential horizons and offer a site of sanctuary for disabled people, and asks what can be lost in the wake of the recent government reassessment of the scheme.
