英语中的性歧视语言研究

语言是一种社会现象。社会大系统中的某些要素 ,如 :地理环境、社会地位、人际关系以及性别等对人们的语言有着一定的影响。英语是从男性占主导地位的社会发展演变而来的 ,它的许多词汇和语法都不可避免地带有排斥或贬低妇女的倾向。用不带性别歧视色彩的中性语言来替代性歧视语言是研究和解决这一问题的主要方法。     

Transcending Nations

While the literature on 'transnational advocacy networks' is beginning to unfold in different world regions, little attention has been given to cross-border organizing strategies that occur within borderlands as regions.In these spaces,networks can flourish through kinship, personal friendships, organizational coalitions, and official bodies. This article argues that cross-border organizing is a variant of 'local politics,' but that it presents far great obstacles than either transnational strategies or typical local politics due to multiple political institutions and ensuing complexity and accountability problems. At the US-Mexico border, other challenges emerge given economic poverty, limited civic capacity, and bi-national inequalities. This article provides a conceptual framework to compare cross-border organizing experiences with and without an institutional shroud that legitimizes activists'claims,exercises authority, and distributes resources.

大学文化与大学精神是当下学术界的热门话题，本文从分析文化、组织文化与大学文化的性质和特征入手，通过对大学文化与大学精神研究已有成果的梳理，从文化个性是现代大学的本质特征，大学精神是大学文化的灵魂，大学理念是大学内部管理与运转的哲学基础，符合逻辑地论证了大学呈现的是一种“有组织的无政府状态”。     

论《最后旅程》对《简·爱》男权秩序和殖民话语的消解

《夏洛特——简·爱的最后旅程》模拟女性视角和女性话语,以实验式创作笔法表现女性主义反叛意识和价值观,同时消解了《简·爱》内化了的男权秩序权威(神权、父权和父权)和殖民意识,以戏谑的口吻揭示女性主义视阈可能带来的女性强权,以及女性主义话语强权造成的男性心理生存平衡危机。     

小小女艺术家的形象——从女权主义角度解读五部女性成长小说

当代英语儿童文学最显著的特色之一是深受女权主义理论影响.以莫尼卡·惠帝格为代表的一派女权主义学者认为,语言在女性建构主体性的过程中起着至关重要的作用.没有语言便没有主体性,主体之所以成为主体是因为作用于她身上的语言文化力量将其如此构建.加拿大女权主义学者兼儿童文学评论家莉萨·保罗(Lisa Paul)认为妇女文学和儿童文学一样都受到了"语言压迫",所以女权主义作家们不但拿起笔,用语言来传达自己的声音,同时也让她/他们的主人公以语言武装自己.本文试图通过解读以下五部女艺术家成长小说来验证这种观点对儿童文学创作的影响:加拿大最有影响的儿童文学作家露西·蒙格马利的"埃米莉三部曲":《新月的埃米莉》、《埃米莉的奋斗》和《埃米莉的求索》,美国当代儿童文学作家路易丝·费兹的《间谍哈里特》,以及莫莉·亨特的《棂车声响》.     

The undying ideologies of race and gender: the zombie apocalypse in Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Season One

Telltale Games’ narrative-based The Walking Dead: Season One portrays Lee Everett, an African American male, fighting through the zombie apocalypse. In addition to providing an intriguing character, the game pushes back against racial stereotypes frequently seen and further establishes a zone of oppositional politics. In addition to race, TWD: Season One’s gender ideologies also open up spaces of counterhegemonic politics, specifically through its presentation of abortion. Overall, the seemingly “undying” ideologies of race and gender are reconfigured and questioned in the space of the zombie apocalypse, providing alternative visions of identity politics.     

Tagging for activist ends and strategic ephemerality: creating the Sex Work Database as an activist digital archive

The Sex Work Database project is an interdisciplinary collaboration, currently based in Canada, to research and design digital activist archives of “born digital” and digitized academic research, print and visual media, grassroots activism, and commemorative responses related to missing and murdered women and sex work. This paper discusses the project’s development over its first few years, and discusses the complexities of organizing and representing digital/digitized information using a feminist anti-violence framework. In doing so, we introduce and examine two challenges we have encountered to date: designing a tagging system that expresses the activist frame of the Sex Work Database, and the ethics and efficacy of strategic ephemerality for materials produced by sex worker activists.     

Paying the toll: a feminist post‐structural critique of the discourse bridging work and family

On the surface, the modern workplace and home life appear to stand in sharp contrast to one another. The workplace seems to epitomize the modern concern with bounded time and the necessity of effective ‘use time’ (e.g., efficiency, effort, organizational commitment, speed‐up). Home life, on the other hand, is characterized by idealized images of emotionality and relief from the pressures of work. Yet numerous reported experiences of working people seem to belie this supposed duality. For many, home life is experienced as an appendage of the workplace, with its demands on time‐effort balance. Nonetheless, we continue to act as if there are two separate spheres of life that can ultimately be balanced and reconciled. This has been reinforced over the years by a growing discourse of work‐family conflict. Deconstruction of the discourse suggests that far from unraveling the ‘problem’ its characterization as a ‘work‐family’ conflict serves to privilege the dominant themes of use‐time and speed.     

家庭暴力的女权主义与系统理论的比较研究

家庭暴力已成为一个全球性的问题。从以往的研究中发现,任何一种单一的理论观点,都无法全面解释暴力现象。因此为了理解并有效地解决家庭暴力,在社会工作实务领域中有必要从多维视角出发来研究家庭暴力问题。本文通过对家庭暴力最有代表性的女权主义和系统理论的比较,提出了通过相互补充和完善女权主义和系统理论来解决家庭暴力问题的建议和意见。
